  1. Honestly, that wouldn't be a very bad idea at all! +1 from me!
  2. In response to post #43755050. This exact reason is why I'm sticking to the top files for my SE game until the CK comes out. Always check descriptions for mods and only download a mod if the mod author strictly states they have cleaned and optimised their mod for SE. It's not too hard, and I have a perfectly running Skyrim SE with quite a few mods running at this very moment. :) Happy modding!
  3. In response to post #43756080. #43756580, #43756590, #43756615 are all replies on the same post. Exactly what murderface8 said, my friend. Just go to the links for each mod and check if they have a new version in relation to the version you have installed, download the mod manually, and add the file to Nexus Mod Manager. Then you can install it like normal, it just takes a little longer than just downloading straight to NMM, but it has the same end result. Cheers and happy modding!
  4. Hello I get funny effect with my game fallout new vegas when I use a ENB where every thing become transparent and appears to have a falling like effect. Puretone ENB is my ENB and installed correctly, but happens with other ENBs as well. I have included screen grabs of this effect so you may know what I say http://i.imgur.com/jytM8qK.jpg http://i.imgur.com/uADgjSJ.jpg Active mods: BEWARE OF GIRL Type 3 HiRez HiDetailed Replacer Type 3 Body and Armor Replayer - New Vegas Type 3 Armors Only V2.1 Type 3 DLC armors NVAC Project Nevada with support for other installed mods WME EVE New Vegas Enhanced Camera NEvada Skies Delay DLC Combined Hi-Res Eyes Replacer CASM New Vegas Stutter Remover Mojave Nights Roleplayer's Alternative Start Fallout New Vegas Mod Configuration Menu Tutorial Killer Radio Free Wasteland CONELRAD 640-1240
  5. Hi, I recently reinstalled Fallout New Vegas after having a new OS and deciding I'd like to start fresh with modding; I have deleted all folders relating to FNV before reinstalling the game, and I decided my first step would be to download an ENB. I followed the instructions to install Puretone, including: installing Nevada Skies first and Mojave Nights second using the D3D9.dll file from the the wrapper version of ENB and then dragging the components and Nevada skies files located in those folders into the main folder of FNV. Afterward, I downloaded NVSE and dropped the files in the main FNV folder. However, when I run FNV either from the launcher or from NVSE the game crashes immediately after starting up and hitting a black screen, the circle curser showing the entire time to show the game has stopped responding. I really don't know what could be wrong because this is the second time I have done a fresh install and encountered this same error with Puretone ENB, having no other mods installed. I am certain my PC can run this game, I run performance-heavy ENBs on TESV just fine. My specs: AMD FX-8120 8-core CPU @ 3.2GHz Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970 (NOT G1) 8GB RAM The game is running on an HDD with ~200GB of space free (I might add, I had this same problem installing the game on my 120GB SSD)
  6. Hey everyone,So oddly, my game randomly CTDs, and there is really no way to know when it will happen. Sometimes it is when saving, sometimes when using a potion (i.e., crashed just now using a Potion of Fortify Smithing). Here are my specs:AMD FX-8120 CPU @ 3.1 GHzGigabyte Windforce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 GPU (NOT the G1)31GB free space left on my F: drive where Skyrim is stored (F:\Steam\SteamApps\Common\Skyrim) Skyrim is up-to-date, I have all DLCs installed and activated with unofficial patches, including the Skyrim HD Texture Pack & Unofficial Patch for said mod. I use NMM, most up-to-date version, along with the most up-to-date SKSE version available at the moment. I use LOOT to sort my mods. Here is my LOOT log: And here is my Papyrus0 log:
  7. So I have it narrowed down. It would either be the "Sound" mods (Sound_Dawnguard.esp, Sound.esp, RnS_Source, etc.) or perhaps Better Quest Objectives and its respective companion mods, or maybe even FollowerCompatibility.esp. Those are the only mods I have unchecked (aside from Inigo and the other companion mods, Alt. Start, summonghosthorse, spousetocustomhome, and DSpSoB [whatever that even is or does, I have no clue]). But at this point I have the issue resolved.
  8. I'll go through that list and see if I can find an error. And haha, yeah I used LOOT after running BOSS once I read over the stickied post recommending LOOT instead.
  9. Hey guys, So my Skyrim is crashing to the desktop any time I try to run SKSE from the Nexus Mod Manager. I know my PC can handle this game (I run ENB's on F:NV, and have used plenty of mods [~120-130 at one time] on Skyrim before), but for those that are curious here are my specs: GPU: Radeon HD 7850 2GB RAM: 8GB CPU: AMD FX-8120 It's all on a 2nd 1TB HDD with roughly 300GB remaining free space. Game Location: F:/Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim/ Game, NMM, and SKSE are all up-to-date. I currently have all of the DLCs, and have already ran BOSS to check for any errors (none, aside from some of those dirty-edit whatever things). My LOOT log: Papyrus Log: So, with all of that info, I am hoping that anyone could help me figure out why my game instantly crashes after launching. It's been awhile since I've modded Skyrim so please bear with me if I am a bit slow! Much appreciated, Typh!
  10. Hey all, Whenever I unplug my controller or it unplugs itself (an Xbox One controller) my game will freeze and I can't even CTRL+ALT+DLT or anything for about 1-3 minutes, until finally it will respond so that I can end the process. Also, every so often my game will crash when I go through loading screens. I haven't actually found a pattern yet, I just know to be cautious because I know every so often a loading screen will mean crashing. Below is my mod order. http://i.imgur.com/Od1GjUb.png http://i.imgur.com/tEBNwKq.png
  11. Hey all, so I used to mod Skyrim and Fallout New Vegas all the time. I'm not new to modding, although I've always had the luck of using the simple NMM and never actually having to solve problems with mod compatibilities or anything, but for some reason I for the life of me cannot find what the reason is that is making my character have a giant red exclamation mark. I just bought Fallout 3 GOTY this morning and have been adding a few mods. I have turned off Archive Invalidation in the Fallout Mod Manager settings, and I have activated the Archive Invalidation programme from here. I also attached a photo of my current mod list so you guys can tell me what could be wrong with say a mod compatibility or load order.
