  1. Here's a new one... I changed Lydia slightly with the CK. After making her slightly smaller, 0.96 vs 1.0, she would no longer equip any shield or weapon. Strange seeing her try to punch out a dragon... After some troubleshooting I found it was the size change that did it. I'm not flaming Bethesda, it's a great game after all, but so far it has been quite frustrating that changes to things like textures, npc size and inventory are all meeting with resistance from the game engine. Other Bethesda titles have been much easier to mod, at least for me. Hopefully these issues aren't going to be permanent. Also, I'm really hoping someone comes up with a fix for npc's always reverting to their default inventory when they aren't actively following the player. Sheesh, what were they thinking! Anyway, I know it's early, so I'll try to be patient. Just issuing a bug report about the size change issue and doing a little venting at the same time.
  2. Here is how to remove her tat: DELETED EDIT: Disregard My 'Fix'. Doing what I posted removes the tattoo in the Creation Kit but does not fix the tattoo in game - weird.
  3. I've been having fun with the CK and have made a mod which alters Brelyna from the College of Winterhold. I've been having an issue where she keeps equipping a bow. Does anyone know how to get rid of the darn thing? She is a mage after all. The only item in her inventory is a Lightning Staff but for some reason she is equipping the 'mystery bow' instead of her staff or bare hands. Also, I'm curious about NPC leveling. Does Calc Max set the level cap of the NPC? Also, how do NPC skill stats change relative to their overall level? I'm assuming that if Level Mult is set to 1.0 then the NPC will level on par with the Player but I'm not sure how this affects their skills. Any help would be appreciated thx.
  4. Pictures aren't doing the new HD textures justice. I was pretty skeptical of the benefit of the new pack after seeing user picks but, after downloading and installing them, I can tell you the game looks MUCH better at least to my untrained eyes. Everything, armor in particular, seems to have a lot more richness and depth. People look a lot better as well, and the blocky noses are fixed. Changing the .ini files and getting rid of the .esp's is also the way to go. Thanks to all who posted the fix for this.
  5. I'm also having frequent crashes with the new patch. CTD a couple of times per hour plus now I sometimes get hangups during loading scenes. Game was totally stable under the old patch - bummer...
  6. Kudos to you!!! I thought my computer was performing amazingly slowly. One click after your suggestion and this is a different game. Much appreciated tip - Thank You!
