  1. Well, I figured it out. Or at least I fixed the problem; I hadn't thought the perks I gave her might had prevented her from casting it. So I removed all the perks I gave her and just left her with Conjure Ice Clone and Icy Spear Right hand, and it worked! I gave her the elemental potency and Twin souls so she would cast two, but the elemental potency was messing it up some how and preventing her from casting it. I just assumed since I used the Frost Atronach as the base that the elemental potency perk would apply. It did not sadly, but I managed to figure it out. Thanks for the help anyway djjohnjarvis! :)
  2. Alright.... This is what I tried: 1.) I removed every spell but the summoning spell and IcySpearRightHand. She still had her Steel Dagger that I gave her, and she equipped the Icy Spear and the dagger instead of the Conjure Ice Clone. 2.) I made a spell tome and put it in her inventory, when I recruited her, I took it and taught it to myself. I used it and it works fine, and it only costs about 107 mana. (Let it be known that I used the Conjure Frost Atronach spell as the base for the Conjure Ice Clone, just changed what it summoned and the description). 3.) I removed the steel dagger and left her with just IcySpearRightHand and ConjureIceClone, when engaged in combat she used the Icy Spear but the other hand was empty. 4.) I removed IcySpearRightHand and just left her with ConjureIceClone, she just used her fists. 5.) I got rid of ConjureIceClone, and replaced with ConjureFrostAtronach. She attacked with fists, then decided to steal a mace that was on display and use that lol. 6.) I replaced ConjureFrostAtronanch with ConjureFlameAtronach after reading about the person you mentioned on the Skyrim Wiki where it said, "she usually summons a Flame Atronach unless the enemy is immune or resistant to fire, in which case she'll summon a Frost Atronach." So I figured the reverse might be true in this situation since most people are Nords. It did not work, it did the same as #5 with the exception of the theft. Should I like make the spell for a specific hand or something? (Idk if this is right or not but... If no hand is specified it can be used with either hand, and if you specify a hand then it can only be cast by that hand. Is that right?) I am also using UFO if that is of any importance.
  3. Intro/Info: Hello everyone! I am a complete noob when it comes to modding and have only just started. I am currently working on a test follower mod that if I get good enough might release to the world! I made the follower, set the stats, added spells, added perks, placed in the world, and did all that other stuff. For the most part it works as I imagined it; I can recruit this follower and they perform their combat duties (she is a mage, mainly destruction). While making this custom follower I decided I would take a crack at adding a custom summoning spell for her as well. I added it to her spell list and went to test her out; I loaded a save that was previous to the mod's creation to allow her to settle in and let me roll on in and get her to follow me. The Question/Problem: What I want her to do is to cast this custom summoning spell (it is essentially a clone of her, except 'ice', with slightly different stats, equipment, and combat style [the clone is a battlemage/spellsword type while the follower is a straight up spellcaster] ) when a fight begins and then switch to the other magic she has. The problem is that she does not do this at all and it saddens me! So if anyone could tell me what I would need to do to fix this I would appreciate it! Final Words: If I did not give enough information, which is completely possible; or if I posted this in the wrong section, the please move it. I do not actuallly post on forums that much so excuse my bad forum skills (). Thanks in advance to those noble souls who will hopefully in the future help me!
