  1. Well, that figures. I figured out the problem almost a good 3 minutes after I post this, which in turn was after an hour of banging my head against the wall trying to figure it out. I console-enabled perks for a dwemer bomb mod that I shouldn't have, and that's most likely causing it. I'm a dope, sorry. x-x Feel free to lock up this thread, I was being a dummy. Sorry. ^^;
  2. Hi everyone, I'm having a slight issue. My Skyrim is giving me this weird message box that pops up when I interact with ANYTHING. Talk to Nazeem? It pops up. Pick up my dropped bow on the ground? The message box pops up. Even opening the door to the Bannered Mare? The box pops up. What's especially weird is that it appears to be part of a mod, maybe even partially deleted, because it asks me "What do you want to do?", (proper grammar and all), followed by 2 blank options that don't do anything and the intended action that I was trying to do as the third option. For modesty reasons, I'd rather not post my mod list unless absolutely necessary, for personal reasons. I assure you, my installation of Skyrim is perfectly legit, I just have some embarrassing mods on there that I'm working on and feel too shy to share in a mod list. ^^; Does anyone know of any mods that could be causing this issue? Something old that I might have downloaded? If it helps, the last thing I did before this happened was become Thane of Whiterun, and I consoled in a few perks afterwards before meeting Lydia, which then the issue started. Could it be the perks? I'm not sure, but any input would be helpful. The only mods I have downloaded that are related to anything I did between the issue appearing would be one that modifies the speech tree, I forget the name, and Dirty Riding, which helps with mounted combat and takes up room in the light armor section. If it's not enough info, I could PM my mod list, but again, I'm incredibly shy about things like this, so. o-o Thank you in advance! :O
  3. Thank you for the replies! I actually don't know how to do that yet, how am I supposed to go about doing so? Do I make a new quest or something along those lines? Again, I'm very inexperienced at scripting, the small paragraph of code I wrote before took me hours to put together. ^^; Is there a tutorial for making it a base for a quest script? Anything I can use for reference? o-o
  4. Thank you for the script. However, I've been tinkering with it, and I have to say that it doesn't seem to work in my case. I might be inserting it into the wrong method or something, I don't know. Basically, I have it set to an actor effect inside a perk, but even with the perk active, it doesn't swap the armor out during night-time. Is there something I'm doing wrong, something I could check? Any input would be helpful, thank you!
  5. Hi, I'm new to scripting within GECK, and I'm having trouble getting GECK to accept a certain script. The basic premise of this script is that after a perk is applied, two things happen. Firstly, a certain piece or two of armor is removed from your inventory at dawn, and are only able to equip again after dark. The second thing would be a consumable item that makes it so on use, it adds and equips the removed armor, preferably only during dark. I guess you could think of it similarly to a werewolf transformation in Skyrim, except limited to the nighttime. I was considering making it so the consumable item is also removed at dawn in the event that it wasn't used, to prevent cheating. The basic script is here. It might be shoddily written, I have no idea, again, I'm a beginner to scripting. ^^; An obvious issue with how I set it up, at least to my personal yet limited knowledge, is that it doesn't distinguish if it's the correct headpieces or not, and it might just remove whatever is in the scripted slots. Any help would be appreciated!
  6. Thanks for the fast reply! 1 - Alrighty, will look into the house mods. (Was hoping to go a bit more in depth with the riches, but who knows?) :happy: 2 - I was not aware of this, actually! If that's the case, is there any weapon mods that looks a bit more refined than a steel sword or something of the like? :rolleyes: 3 - Heavy armor... hm. Not sure about that entirely. Could you elaborate on it a bit? :huh: The dress seems nice, definitely will take a look-see. The replacer... hm. I'll look into it as well. The body mod I use... uhm... I've kinda lost track, honestly. Let's just assume vanilla is the body I use and I'm looking for a better one. :sweat:
  7. Oi... first time posting on nexusmods forums, hope I don't screw this up. :ermm: Anyway, hi everyone, I'm looking for mods that might go along well with a certain character I had in mind. The character is meant to be a rich noblewoman of Solitude, which is different from the usual adventurer-types I play. So, what I'm asking is if there's any mods out there that could fulfill the following: 1. Feeling of wealth and glamour The character is meant to be rich and live inside Proudspire Manor, and I was hoping if there's mods for this that make me feel like the character is rich outside of a number in the inventory window. Like, servants or expensive clothing or parties or stuff along those lines. Kind of like if the character was actually going to the party in Diplomatic Immunity rather than just posing to spy on the Thalmor. It would also help if there was a mod to add more expensive things to buy, outside of changing the entire economy to the point where it's easy to go broke on a single shopping spree. Just stuff like that. :sweat: 2. Combat Inefficiency This might be where it gets technical. Most mods I've seen happen to enhance the combat experience, but the issue is how I'm envisioning the character. I'd find it a bit odd that a noble who spends most of her time trading and living the high life could just find a warhammer or bow and arrows inside an old ruin and instantly know how to use them properly. So, if there's mods that could make it so the character has no previous experience in combat, outside of Requiem or other hardcore mods, that would help. (She'd probably have bodyguards anyway. Mods for that help too.) 3. Beauty and cosmetics This character is meant to be very vain about her looks. So, to keep this short, I just need some mods that could add aspects of beauty and cleanliness, like face mods or something. Thank you for your time, everyone! :laugh:
  8. If I may, (sorry if I'm necromancing this post), but I was working on a mod similar to this, and I was wondering if you were still interested? I was actually making a play-as-Sheogorath mod with a few twists like the Blessings of Mania and Dementia, and was going to add the Staff of the Everscamp and a Classic Wabbajack, but this gave me a few ideas. o-o Is it ok if I use these ideas and try and make what I can out of it? (Still a bit of a novice in Creation Kit. ^^')
  9. Don't mean to necromance, but I'm actually having the exact same problem. When my weapons are drawn, the walking animation just goes kaput. Did you happen to find out what causes this to happen?
