  1. I think I got it working now, I was able to export a smooth version without really knowing what I did. I think the mesh was too complex so I rebuilt the model with less polygons in a smaller area. Many thanks for the help, however I think I got it working. I think it was something to do with the placement of the pivot point.
  2. Thanks for your help Unfortunately the model doesn't have any textures at the moment so it couldn't be affected by the normals. I've tried rebuilding it over and over and everytime the mesh comes out warped in the z axis.
  3. If it's any help, I have rebuilt a majority of the mesh several times (Mostly in the effected areas) to no avail. Furthermore I believe the warping is only effected in the Z axis (In that none of the polygons are spiking out/warping in the x and y, only up and down).
  4. Thanks for the help! Unfortunately the warping doesn't occur only when I copy the weight of another mesh. It seems that whenever I export the mesh into a .NIF even on its own it still comes out distorted. I've tried moving the pivot point but nothing seems to be working. The best hope I had was removing a section of the model and exporting that separately and that seemed to remove the warping on that small section of the mesh. My next plan of action may be to divide in into sections and recombine them in Nifskope.
  5. I've recently tried making a Pipboy Glove for the Fallout 4 pipboy like they had in Fallout 3. And in the process I am using outfit Studio to import the .obj mesh and export as a .NIF file. However for what ever reason when I export the mesh and then reopen the .nif in either Nifskope or Outfit Studio the mesh is heavily warped all over the model. The pictures show how the smooth model in Outfit studio is then heavily warped after exporting to NIF. Please if anyone knows how to fix this I would be so very grateful. I spent the entire day working on this and would love to release this Mod for people to use.
  6. I only need to change the animations for when you open the Pipboy Menu. Altogether their is about 27 animations for this. I would say about 65% or more of them don't need massive changes and only need the right hand to be removed from the animations so it isn't clipping through the new PipBoy model.(Kind of like in Fallout 3). As for the other few, such as inserting a holotape, they may need more work put into them.
  7. To any animators out there I need your help. I've been working for the past few months on a mod that changes the Default Pipboy from Fallout 4 to the Pipboy from Fallout 3 and New Vegas. However after literal months of trying I just can't make the animations. Simply because NONE of the software I have tried has worked. Either because it's out of date, unsupported, needed files or other software that no longer exists, needing version of programs that are long unsupported or sold by the developers or(in most cases) the software once downloaded just never works for absolutely no reason and if it does work it only works partially and then later on stop working completely. Furthermore, by dwelling into every piece of software I can find to give some hope, if I don't understand something or it doesn't work there is little to NO tips or tutorials online apart from the original download page. So now I am at a Dead End, and now wondering if this mod will ever come out. I can't use the original animations because of clipping through the new model(See picture below). So now i'm reaching out to anyone who is willing to help me on this, either with tips on what to do or simply if any animators wish to offer their help and make the animations for me. I am only looking to replace the animations when the pipboy is open (PipboyIdle.hkx etc.) They don't even need to be unique, For the majority of the animations I just need the right arm to be removed so it's not clipping into the model.(Imagine the animations from Fallout 3 when using the pipboy). And of course you will be given credit in the Mod. If no one comes forward I have decided I will still upload the mod with the default animations, but I will make it available to anyone to edit and upload as they please. So it will be more like an asset for modders rather than a full Mod. Many Thanks. P.S. Please excuse the picture used. This is not what the Pipboy Looks like currently, with the position of the screen and the lack of textures, this is just a placeholder model I used just to check the model was working ingame. But the picture still shows off the issue I am having with the animations.
