  1. Okay, once I get a VGA cable and do what you have told me to do, I will report back. You're probably free from this thread for tonight at least as I have no time to go out an get a VGA cable right now. Studying for a big engineering test :wallbash: Lol, again, I appreciate the help. Hopefully when I return, I will have good news!
  2. I want to continue using HDMI. If I didn't have to use VGA to run the game before, then I shouldn't have to now. I didn't have to install an Intel Bypass mod or anything like that. EDIT: Or are you just saying I need to use VGA for a little bit so my computer can reconfigure and do its thing, and then I can go back to using HDMI?
  3. I posted a link to the blown up picture of my FOMM graphics settings. Here is the link again: http://s4.postimg.org/wr13wgc6l/Capture.jpg When I get the VGA cable, what will I do then? I searched for the .cfg files within Samsung EVO (C:)>Games>Steam>steamapps>common>Fallout 3 GOTY and there was only one. Once I deleted this file, I tried launching the game from steam and it still gave me the same error. Was I supposed to disconnect the HDMI after I deleted the .cfg?
  4. You haven't mentioned the dll trick in this thread, and I do not have a link. I understand how this could all become a blur. Lol, I read through a few pages of the other thread that you're replying to, and I agree, it is quite similar. As you have instructed, I will delete the .cfg files and load the game. I currently have steam running the "FOSELoader". To do this, as I'm sure you already know, I just renamed "FOSELoader" to "Fallout3Launcher" so steam would load it instead. Should I load the default launcher, or is the fose one fine to run from?
  5. The reasoning behind launching into windowed mode is the supposed increase in stability. That's the only reason. Yes, having two graphics cards is a pain in the butt. Whenever I'm not connected to my external monitor, my laptop usually only uses the integrated graphics card, not the dedicated one, regardless of what power settings I have selected, or what programs I'm running. And okay. My mistake. Thank you.
  6. This is the post that lost me. Aren't .cfg files configs? Would I want to erase all of those? If you're telling me to delete them, they must automatically come back after I run the game launcher again. I just want to make sure I'm not deleting something that's important. Lol I don't believe you have mentioned a dll trick in this thread. If you've mentioned it in another, I've not seen it. Could you link it?
  7. @M48A5, I noticed that. I figured it would get resolved once I followed all of @Purr4me's instructions. @Puur4me, you just lost me on those last few replies. Lol EDIT: @Purr4me, if we get this figured out. I'll be sure to give the mod a go.
  8. It's rare that you find people as helpful as you have been. Thanks a bunch.
  9. I tried RGB. Was something supposed to happen? I don't have the VGA cable yet, so I don't see what could have happened. Brand: Vizio SN: LZPFEAK1802384 Model Number: VA320M I went ahead and went to Vizio's website and found their support page for my TV. Here is the link to their website: http://support.vizio.com/product/va320m EDIT: Also, I think comp1 stands for "Component 1"
  10. My TV is quite old.. Probably 5 or 6 years old, and it's still running. Lol, because it's so old, I no longer have the booklet that came with it. When I go to the inputs, the list is as follows: DTV/TV Av Comp1 Comp2 HDMI1 HDMI2 HDMI3 (What my PC is connected to, and what it's set at currently) HDMI-Side RGB Photos Music EDIT: I do understand what you're saying. I just don't see why there's no setting anywhere that would allow my computer to control the display output.
  11. Lol, if the TV came with a VGA cable, and I had it, I would've told you. There has to be another way to solve this problem. Before I reinstalled my OS, I was able to play Fallout 3 on my external display just fine, and I had never used a VGA cable before.
  12. My laptop does have a VGA port. I do not, however, have a VGA cable. It is possible that there may be issues with the drivers. I just recently (about a month ago) completely reset my computer and reinstalled the OS onto my SSD. My driver disk didn't automatically install all of the drivers because it was for windows 8, not windows 8.1. FOMM says the graphics adapter is set to the integrated junky graphics card, and it's greyed out. EDIT: I took a capture of just the FOMM window so it should be clear here: http://s4.postimg.org/wr13wgc6l/Capture.jpg
  13. You've not asked me to use that site before, so I didn't know I was supposed to be using it. This is the first time I've posted anything on these forums. I apologize for any unnecessary data costs I may have caused. Here is the photo of the error: http://s14.postimg.org/a9nibd169/Fallout_3_Error.jpg Here is the photo of FOMM: http://s2.postimg.org/dmcxq5t7d/FOMM.png Again, I apologize. Edit: These photos look terrible. I uploaded them (I thought) at max resolution. I'll redo them.
  14. There are no options within my UEFI that have anything to do with HDMI. There are very few settings in there period, unfortunately. Fallout 3 Is unto it's self and is not contain the update software for your PC,,,where the others do. but run fomm now and shoot the shot of it's listing as I have shown so I can see what it see's. Have you done this? I've not seen a picture of you running FOMM, so I don't know what information you're requesting.
  15. Everything in the steam interface/streaming settings are as you have them. Here is a screenshot of my computer screens when I'm running gamecompanion to make Fallout 3 fullscreen. http://i.imgur.com/W3frFI1.png Here is a screenshot of my computer screens when I'm not running it, so it would be loading in windowed mode. http://i.imgur.com/deFK5Ef.png As for your first post, I'm not sure that steam isn't able to access my tv screen. Other games work perfectly fine. Fallout NV, Skyrim, ect. They all boot up normally and are fully functional. Fallout 3 is the only game that's having problems.
