I found the issue.

Hello, I've recently discovered a weird bug going on between Dawnguard, SMIM, and ELFX. Originally it started out as a bug between SMIM and ELFX where floors wouldn't appear in Fort Dawnguard. I uninstalled both mods and went to install them one at a time, but when I installed SMIM and went back into the game, some objects would be glowing (picture below). Then, when adding ELFX and overwriting SMIM meshes with the option in the installer, the invisible floor bug would appear along with the glowing objects bug. Basically, I'm stuck, and not sure what to do. I've used LOOT and such to make sure they're in the correct order, but nothing worked. In fact, some objects in the regular Skyrim world would be glowing, as well. So these bugs are apparent in both places. So... yeah, Send help!!!

Bit of a weird problem here. I installed some "Mute Character" mods to see if they would affect my immersion but I didn't like them so I uninstalled them. Now, though, my character is muted... but only during certain interactions and only for some dialogue selections. I'll select one thing, he'll say it; I'll select another, he doesn't say it (but the conversation keeps going). As far as I know I've taken everything related to the mute character mods out of my game. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I'm slowly understanding. What does the information given to me in the CMD have to do with the performance exactly? Like how does it relate to it? If it's difficult to explain across a message board don't worry, I'm not looking to alter files deep within my system. Or if you already explained it in a previous response then it's fine.

It sucks because a bit of me is a perfectionist with games and always wants that ever so smooth performance but the other part of me knows it never happens, even on consoles. So yeah I expect fps drops I'm just trying to limit them for the most part. Thanks for the feedback, guys :smile: Should I look into Nvidia SLI for the game?

You mean the engine the game was built on? Purr4me thank you, it worked, except for places where it's just loading up and where a lot of random s#*! is but that's bound to happen. Thanks again.

May I ask how that's done? Will it affect my system in any way negatively?

I'm not sure if this is a silly post with a silly answer sorry if it is but I feel like Fo4 can run with decent FPS at high quality with my setup... but it's not. I have a GeForce GTX 950m (on a laptop, which may be why it doesn't run well with high settings) with 2 GB Dedicated RAM and 16 GB RAM Total. Minus the amount the OS uses and other necessary things it goes to around 12 (it says 15.9 usable but...). Shouldn't the game be able to take any necessary RAM left over so it can perform better? Idk I monitored the RAM usage while running the game and it juuuuuust went over the dedicated memory amount and I feel like it should be able to snag some more. I'll be honest I'm not an expert on how games run and whatnot, sorry for that, I just thought someone might be able to help someone not so tech savvy. Thank you.

So I'm trying to install an ENB preset. When I download the binary for that preset and put the .dll file into the New Vegas folder, like it says I'm supposed to do, the binary doesn't get picked up by the game. As in when I go to the main menu of the game the little information about the binary in the top left corner of the screen doesn't show up. What should I do?

Last night I deleted the Dawnguard esm and bsa from my Skyrim folder and then re-downloaded it from Steam. I'll get back to you if the problem happens again and let you know if your solution works :) Thank you for the help!

So I think I can easily describe this problem as being stuck in the dialogue scene with Lord Vampire Guy. After he transforms to show me his vampire form he asks me again and when I decline the dialogue ends and he says I'm banished and that's when nothing happens. I can't equip weapons at all and I can't equip spells on my favorites list. I can only equip things if I go to my inventory or magic tab. I think I'm just stuck in the dialogue scene...

So I did that, here's what happened: I was put into the fort and then when I talked to Isran it was about the crypt and what was down there. I told him Serana was and he told me to take her home. But she is already home and now I can't get back into the castle because the door requires a key (guess that's what happens when you're banished). Is there a way I can uninstall and reinstall Dawnguard and just Dawnguard? I also know people have suggested removing all mods but I'm not ready to do that just yet...

I would love to leave and go back to the Dawnguard... But all of the doors in the castle are locked for some reason and they require a key... That's a part of the bug :/

So I'm not sure if this should go under spoilers but I'm afraid it might be spoilers so here it is. In Dawnguard I got up to the part of the quest where you are offered to join the vampires or remain a werewolf. I decided to remain a werewolf because come on, werewolves are amazing. He then proceeded to be rude and banish me from his humble abode... But then nothing happens. I get no new quest marker, I can't open any doors (they all require a key), and the Lord Vampire Guy just stands there watching me. I can't talk to him at all and it says "This character is busy." As of right now I tried reloading to a previous save OUTSIDE the castle and even outside the island but nothing worked. There are even some minor glitches outside the castle. When I try to unsheathe a weapon sometimes it doesn't happen and sometimes my character's hands look like they're holding something when they're not. When I equip a crossbow and try to take that out I only have my right hand holding it and my left hand is held up in a fist (difficult to explain but if I have the chance I'll add a picture). So has anyone had any similar issues? I'm seriously stuck and do not feel like giving up on this.

So here's another issue I will probably fix AFTER I post this (because that's happened twice before) but it's worth a shot. I can't seem to get a certain part of the Enhanced Blood Mod to work and it's really annoying... The blood pools/splatter on the ground. Everything else about the mod works except for the splatter. I did the "disable every mod except EBT" and it worked so I started narrowing it down. I figured out it has something to do with either the Dawngaurd esm or the Dragonborn esm (I figured that out by disabling everything except EBT, then it worked, then enabling Dawngaurd and Dragonborn, then EBT didn't work. So I'm assuming it's one of those two...). I downloaded the Dragonborn-Dawngaurd patch for EBT but that didn't fix anything... What do? WHAT DO?! Anyway, yeah, thank you.
