  5. Most I could provide is VA support, I've done some of it in the past and it's been well-received. Only downside is the primitive methods at my disposal for voice recording. I need to get some better stuff, whenever I can afford it.

Okay, so it used to be if you needed to have the BaseID of an NPC in order to set them as essential/non-essential, you had to click on them in the console, enter in GBO or GBID or something, I don't really remember at the moment, not important, and it'd give you the other ID, the one that does NOT show up by simply clicking on the NPC. I need to stress this: THE ONE THAT DOES NOT. I am referring to the OTHER ID, the one you would use for setessential. So please don't answer me telling me I just need to click on them and enter that ID in, because that's not the case, I need people who know what they're talking about for this. Sorry if that sounds testy; I've been all over the friggin' place on Steam and the Fallout wikia pages and everyone keeps answering that, and it's not. F*cking. Working. It never has worked that way, and it isn't working that way now, either. In fact, it's just simply not working, period. I have three settlers at Outpost Zimonja who are synth infiltrators. Darkangel13's Settlement Institute Synth Spy Detection mod is to be thanked for me knowing how to find this out. In other settlements, when I've found them, I've gone through the steps and killed the synths. But at Zimonja, suddenly, for some reason, the settlers are flagged as essential (or at least some of them are), so I can't kill the synths since they're among those set as essential, and since now they're hostile [part of how the mod functions does this, it's so you can kill the synths without your other settlers freaking out and thinking you're just a murderer], they just get gunned down, go "unconscious," they get back up again, get gunned down, repeat ad nauseum. So I tried to remove the essential flag the way it used to work: console, click, GBO or GBID [one of those two, I'm almost positive] to get the ID that is not the one that comes up when you click on an NPC, so that I could use the one you get from that command to SetEssential [iD] 0/1. That no longer works. SetEssential is, as far as I can tell, completely useless. It tells me I need the Actor ID, but I have looked everywhere and I can't find anything in the list of known console commands that provides an Actor ID. Clicking on the NPC and entering in the ID provided doesn't work. Clicking on the character and just typing setessential 0 makes it tell me that 0 is not a valid Actor ID. So, is it even possible to get an Actor ID?? Is there any way to actually remove the essential flag via console, or has Bethesda just completely removed that function? And yes, I know, you can open the .ini file and enter in that one command line that makes it so essential NPCs can die...but that means ALL of them, companions and other characters included, meaning I'd have to go to the .ini file, type that line in, start the game, kill the synths, close the game, delete the line, restart the game, and then do this again at the next settlement which inevitably will have synths there, too, which will be tedious, time-consuming, and is going to really kill my Fallout boner. So. Any ideas, anybody? Cuz I'm grinding my teeth in frustration, here.

  10. I'm just curious if anyone knows if there's a way to check a crash report for Skyrim, or if there's a mod that can do it. My game keeps crashing frequently (but inconsistently) lately, and the reasons for it doing so are not readily apparent, so I want to pinpoint the problem, especially since I'm not even sure it's a mod problem.

No conflicts or anything from 'em. I was furiously frustrated yesterday at this, but today? I'm seeing more humor in it than anything else. Learn from my lesson people; friends don't let friends mod recklessly!
  13. Edit: Apologies for putting this in the wrong section, meant to post it in the tech support area. Just imagine that in a Sp00ky voice [if ya don't know who I mean, don't worry about it]. Sssooooo, I got a little too ballsy with my modding, I think. More precisely, I got too ballsy with FNVEdit. I won't even bother putting up what mods I have because I over-wrote so many values in the mods from other ones in load orders and all that happy stuff that I doubt that'll be of any use. I have a lot of the major ones. Fellout, Electrocity, Interior Lighting, Sexual Innuendo, NMC's TexPack, FCO, etc. So. My problem. Upon loading into the game, everything is fine. At first. But, leave a cell, go to another, then another...and suddenly errors start coming up. Sometimes just a couple, sometimes a ton all at once. The ground and walls will start experiencing texture glitches, the giant red diamonds of doom will start replacing NPCs [who loaded just fine the first time or two], sometimes they'll still be there and visible, sometimes missing parts, sometimes just gone. This could be caused by a lot of things. Worst-case scenario, I have to uninstall, delete, then re-download and re-install all the mods. See, as I said before...I got a little ballsy. I tried to figure out how to back-up the mods and everything...didn't know how to instantly, and since I am far too impatient for my own good...I never figured out how to back-up anything. Thought I knew what I was doing, and not to spare my ego, but I'm not entirely sure I've actually screwed anything up...at least not irreparably. So, the textures and models go *nuts,* and sometimes the game will crash after the loading screen goes away transitioning from one area to the next. Now...one thing I have noticed. The GREETING file? It's INSANE. I seem to have far too many companion mods, and while I would rather keep them in since I haven't even gotten around to trying most of them out [except for Willow...but who DOESN'T have Willow [[all day err'y'day]]??], removing them won't kill me since I can always go back and peep them later. It seems like most of them want to affect the GREETING dialogue, and...well, I started dicking around with the file, which I probably shouldn't have done, but I dunno if that's actually the cause of this. SO WHAT I AM GETTING AT IS. I'm not asking for someone to hold my hand and fix this, I'm not that much of a scrub, but I am curious if anyone might have any ideas what values I should begin looking at? One particular thing I noticed is that I have Interior Lighting, the ultimate version; I notice that the flags for saturation, brightness, etc are listed in the core's listing for each image space thing, but in the ultimate.esp listing, those sections are blank.
