Yoba, I'm currently collecting as many different types of wool as I can find for the musuem. Which colors do you still need? [EDIT]Nevermind, donated the whole spectrum + a noteblock.
-
What does the museum need at the moment? I went there to donate lapis block and a pumpkin, but it looks like you already got those. Haven't seen a gold block yet, so I'm off to get one!
-
I'm all out of cobblestone, but I could donate a lapis lazuli block. :P
-
Tear it down and sell the pieces?
-
I'm not a big fan of the drama either, so I'm glad you did the clever thing and apologized. We all have a bad day every once in a while, and if you find yourself getting aggravated it's best to just take a break and calm down for a bit before you do something you might regret. /I'm-so-awesome-I'm-better-than-everyone-else-or-at-least-I-think-I-am rant :P

Well, if you really want to jail people, use /togglejail <playername>. You can then /warp prison and laugh at them. [EDIT] Modloader is a SP mod, so that's a no unfortunately.
-
Yeah, don't wait! I'm sure CC will volunteer to give you some starter money! :P

Looking real good, ub3r! And hey. now you can get back to playing Minecraft! :P
-
Oh, that was yours? Sorry. :P You were building very close to Alonso's place. The structure was unfinished and kind of getting in the way, we figured it was built by someone who came on once and would never come back. If you leave a sign saying it's yours next time, we'll know not to touch it. ;)

Updated the plugin at Noble's request. Now there's a 1/3 chance the moss will spread to nearby cobblestone when a new mossy cob block is spawned. I looked into a better way of detecting cobblestone near water, but it proved too inefficient to push into use. For now the old method will have to do.

Heads up guys! If you have been using a particular third party client, your account details may have been compromised. About a thousand accounts were compromised, so it's unlikely one of us was hit. Might be worth checking if you're one of them, anyways.

Thanks. ;) Whoa. How big is the server world at the moment?
-
Okay, I'll give that a shot. :) Btw, I've uploaded the current plugin as an attachment. It's ready for use, but replacing of existing cob has not been implemented yet. (Source code)
-
Got the code down that will replace a cobblestone block with a mossy one after a random amount of time, if near water - if it's placed by a player after the plugin has been enabled. I'm looking into applying the effect to existing blocks too, but I need to find a way to do so without lagging the server first. [EDIT]I do see one problem here: since there's an ocean right under the city, half our buildings will turn into mossy cob. :P
-
I could give the mossy cob a shot. My only concern is that it may require scanning every single bock in a chunk (which means 16*16*128 = 32,768 + calls iterations every time someone enters a chunk :P) unless I can find a more efficient way (need to look into the API some more), which is quite heavy on the server. A handheld torch isn't possible without modifying the client, unfortunately. On a side note, it seems quite some people are unable to build in the city. I noticed some new regions named citybigblock# were added - maybe these regions are preventing them from building?
-
Well, I was thinking about starting with something that isn't too hard/big. Not really sure what that should be though, so I'm open to suggestions. ;) [EDIT]Ethre, there appears to be an issue with the regions: Sturmann is unable to build in his house. Did someone put a region there?
-
I've been reading up on the Bukkit docs, learned a thing or two. If Ethre and you guys are interested, we could look into the possibility of coding some custom stuff for the server.

Well, we don't have to build our town on the flat area. We can go anywhere we want.
-
Well, if you put it that way, I guess we're going to need a lot of dirt. ;)
-
Oh, I'm sure we will build something huge... I'm just afraid the whole may look unappealing or out of place because the land is so unnaturally flat.

What does the above user's signature say about them?

The above user's time on Nexus is dropping to occasional visits to the chatroom, and the Minecraft thread. -
Hey, I do have speakers! :P To be honest I think the giant flat area around spawn is not the best place to build our town. It's great if you want to build something massively huge that's all about the structure in its own, but for a medieval? town that's supposed to look in place I think we should find an area that looks more natural.

I won't be using voice chat since I don't have a microphone.
-
Oh, I forgot to mention: my admin permissions seem to have been lost after the fresh server install. Right now I can only use /spawn.
-
It's very large. And very flat. :P
