Very much needed. Otherwise there is no interest to be had in enjoying the environment/battlefield. You can't take the time to explore a recent battle site, because you have to rush in and loot everything as the bodies begin to disappear before your eyes. You can't explore, in other words.

'Where's our fire support!' 'Fear inspires loyalty, where do you need me?' 'Fear me, but follow!' 'Its a dry heat.' 'Alright, nobody touch nuthin!' 'Hostile spotted!' 'Die m****r f**k*r!' 'He wiped out my squad!' 'Command, we have encountered project origin, requesting instructions?' 'Shut the f**k up for a second.' 'If only drill-instructor Barnes could see me now.' 'Wolf, we've got a stalker approaching from the bar, orders?' 'You know what to do about witnesses, and leave no fuss.' 'Where's your helicopter now you political scumbags?' ' Errhm, uhh, huh, {more drunken mumblings}, chto? Nuukat velyna...' ' Bandits, mutants, and anarchists. Nothing will stop us in our quest of halting the zone's expansion and saving the planet. Join duty and protect the innocent...' 'Don't stand there, come in!' ' What are you standing around for stalker. You want to go through, come up and we'll have a chat. If not I suggest you take off before we get angry.' ------------------------------------- Thanks to Nexus and moreover the community of modders who made it all possible!

Nexus Mod Manager Problem... Can't locate game directory?
Fellwolf replied to GLRPrem's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I was having same problem with Fallout 4. I also have all legal copies through steam. The REASON for my errors, was due to the fact that the hard-drive on my laptop was full, so I had to use an external SSD to store all the game files. It worked fine. Then a few months later, I get the second internal SSD installed in my latop, I moved the files over. Then, the issue arises with steam not picking up on the fact that Fallout 4 was infact there. So, install F4 again, and was trying to merge data folders (merging copies of folders, keeping originals as backup). NMM was stuck referring to the original (which I renamed to 'Fallout 4444' because you cannot have folder duplicates of same name, obviously. So, tried switching them around. Renamed the fresh vanilla install to 'Fallout 4444', and the modded original that I was playing on previously to the default title name. Nope. NMM was still following exactly what I was doing. I was digging around trying to find out which files configured the indexed directories. Couldn't find them (yet). Tried rescan games, then you get error: 'folder and files missing: D:\blahblah\racoons\steam\common\Fallout4\Fallout4.esm'. Tried switching things around again, and it will follow it. 'folder and files missing: D:\blahblah\racoons\steam\common\Fallout4444\Fallout4.esm, please try again'. Arg. I might just say, f*#@ it and re-install/reactivate all the mods through NMM, so it all the install info, categories and everything else are back to working. Steam apparently isn't meant to be moved. So practice good file management the first time, and either keep your sh*t in one place, or use external SDD's like game cartridges, or both, but don't change your mind later because it sucks trying to fix things. Least I fixed the stupid application errors... -
You mean the concept art that was never implemented in Metro? Somehow, I don't think snow suits or parkas are befitting of a warmer climate. Although it might be cool to see ranger or explosive hardened armor of the heavies.

There is likely a way that the frequency of raider attacks can be increased, but I have no experience in those such things. This will likely become a more commonly sought after feature: configurable raider attacks with adjustable frequencies.

build outside of settlement boarders?
Fellwolf replied to Nachtmahr777's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
You mean "borders"? Threads have already been created for this suggestion (at least one other). -
It would be a nice mod, but it would be more difficult, as it would need to 'fit' other pieces of clothing and equipment, otherwise you get clipping or the odd bits sticking out.
-
Yeah, unlikely to happen on this site due to copyright and all that. The 'Underground is almost guaranteed to have it eventually. Those armor sets for FONV have existed for a long while now. I would rather see neocrusader armor (not talking about the stupid clone wars TV show garbage)

Agreed. In the S.T.A.K.E.R. games, each gun had its own ammo. For example, you pickup a particular gun and find it has a partial mag which won't change unless you reload it or unload, but in fallout its like you just have a big ammo backpack with a hose that you attach to your weapon. Everything is usually loaded. it won't reload on its own, despite weapon switching. In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SOC, you actually had reload ques, which are sort of like magazines which you have to load yourself. Meanwhile, a mutant is stalking you in the woods, while you sh%$ your pants. + more realsim

Lock picking is generally very easy in bethesda games. Its gets harder in Skyrim, though at the highest levels. But if you aren't a patient or particularly observant person, an explosive mod will likely emerge just as in New Vegas, which enables locked doors and containers to be opened via explosives. It leaves the loot somewhat intact.....sort of...mostly. So, just take your time lockpicking as the poster above said.

That would be really cool, but think about what that would do to your computer. That is asking for CTD. It would just have to extend the duration, or something. Otherwise, assuming it does't crash. There would just be layers of shells blanketing the landscape. If they were dynamic objects moving in response to other influences, causing ripple effects would be a complete disaster. Just imagine a grenade explosion propelling casings everywhere. Again, that would be really cool, having shell casing littering the ground near a defensive position, a testament to your defensive prowess.....or utter failure trying to shoot a crow (everyone does it).

The readius mod will be necessary for future armor mods, ones such as the ODST prototype armor in FNV, star wars clone armors and so on. Eventually it will be made.

Mod request: insect removal or replacer
Fellwolf replied to calmagedon2012's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
This request has already been made multiple times. I would suggest searching to see if the request has been made before you post. We all do this every so often. No mods for this have yet been made for F4, but will likely be made soon. I think there have been 5 or so requests already made for this. -
This already exists: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/157/? I would also suggest a similar mod which replaces all quest icons (which some say spoil quests) with generic vault boy giving the thumbs up: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/414/?

It makes sense that you can only build at a limited number of locations, but yes it would be great if we could build anywhere. Everyone likes different things, some might like a spot partially enclosed by chain-link, or a nice spot by a river. The freedom of choice would greatly enhance the settlement feature.
