  1. I'm having these weird problems when trying to alter landscape textures in my custom world space. Some textures don't seem to like some terrain. . . And the issue appears in game as well. . . Does anyone know whats going on here and how to fix it? thanks in advance EDIT: How do I put one of those "spoiler" buttons in my forum post?
  2. I'm working on a mod that adds a world space ( http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14543 ) called Dovahkiin Hold. At first, this area will have a large village/small town, a keep, stables, merchants, random village NPCs, guards etc etc. And I've been contemplating having the mod in 2 or 3 separate files. I was thinking either 3 files: 1 for the world space, 1 for NPCs, and 1 for interior cells -or- 2 files: 1 for world and interiors, and 1 for NPCs. I want compatibility and troubleshooting to be a simplistic as possible. What do you all think? Is this a good idea? 1) I wanna get some opinions on what best practice would be? 2) What kind of issues would I need to plan for? 3) What other things should I consider? thanks in advance
  3. I'm working on a new world space I'll prolly call Dovahkiin Hold. It's very early stage right now. But there is a little to see. If anyone is up for checking out my progress and giving any kind of feedback, that'd be really cool of ya. File is here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=14543 coc DHOrigin or coc DHMarket thanks
  4. . . . I feel like an rtard now. . . thanks for the help edit: that fixed it
  5. I'm having a problem trying to edit landscape in CK. I created a new world, and there is just water, no land underneath (see pic for above and below water views). So after several tries, thinking I must be doing something wrong, I navigate to Riverwood and there ya go, missing land textures (see pic). When I first get into my new world (in CK), I double click the single "wilderness" in the cell view, and the list gets populated with several grids of "wilderness", and each has 1 instance of "landscape". However, I can view NO land anywhere, just water. I can get LOD land to show but thats in. When I first tried to edit landscape, I got an error about 2048x2048 textures found, when 512x512 was expected for dirt02.dds. So I uninstalled any texture packs I could think would include landscape textures. After doing so, I do not have a "landscape" folder under data/textures. But the problem persists. This is getting pretty frustrating here. I mean, how hard should it be to make a little land? Does anyone have a clue whats wrong here? thanks in advance
  6. I'm not real sure what all exactly the PCB console command does, but have you tried that? It seems to me that it purges at least some outdated info in saves. As long as you save again after doing the command.
  7. open console and type: help alvor 4 you will get a few items listed. you want the ID code next to where is says NPC, (I think is actually says "_NPC") then type: player.placeatme [iD Code] 1 that should put Alvor in your immediate vicinity. Alive.
  8. Yes packaging the FaceGen textures and meshes into an archive for downloading works. I tested this today. After creating the zip file I would upload, I deleted every file associated with the mod. Then downloaded and installed my own mod with NMM. All faces were as designed intended. hope this helps EDIT: This was with ESP files. Although I have no reason to think using this technique with an ESM would be any different.
  9. Didn't fix it. There is a new symptom I'm seeing now. The gold that the vendor has in game is not the same as what shows in the "Preview Calculated Result" window for my level. Also, it seems to be bugging out. As in sometimes they will buy properly (albiet without the coin dropping sound) and then in the same instance (without closing the vendor window) breaking again.
  10. Nope. I might of found the source of the problem. About to test it now.
  11. I have a couple mods that add vendors to the game. Everything was working fine with them up until yesterday or so. For the last day or 2, these merchants will not pay money for items. What I mean is they will sell things just fine, player gets the bought item, and the merchant takes the gold for said item. However, when player tries to sell to the vendor, the vendor takes the item but does not give the gold for it. There is no buy/sell sound or anything. I even got a skill-up in speech on a sell transaction. So it's at least partially processing properly. Does anyone have a clue whats going on here? thanks in advance
  12. Yeah I seen that thread too. I'm still using 1.4.27.0 till script dragon gets updated so maybe thats why I semed to of "fixed" mine.
