  1. I'm trying to develop a small mod that the only thing that does is add one line to a script from another mod. I'm having problems trying to save the new version of the script. I want it to override the old script, but GECK saves it as a different one, appending "DUPLICATE000" to the name of the script. I don't want that. What should I do? Thanks in advance. EDIT: After a lot of fiddling with GECK and FNVEdit I managed to fix the issue, however, I don't know what the hell I've done. I think it's because I've used FNVEdit to explicitly mark the original mod as a master of mine and overwrite the FormID of my script to match its master's, but I'm not sure if I've done it right. I'm just confused.
  2. Got it. The author enabled the modification permission so I'll make a patch. Thank you HeyYou and showler!
  3. There is a New Vegas mod I like but hasn't been updated in years, and I've found an issue I (and more people as I've seen in the comments) find annoying. What is the proper way to fix that bug myself? I was thinking about creating a separate mod but I'm not sure. That user seems to be inactive so I don't think I could reach out to them.
  4. I have an issue which plagues my saved games. I'm experimenting frequent crashes to desktop, and apparently they're random. However, I've observed that sometimes a dead Brotherhood Paladin spawns on top of me like he was thrown with a catapult, ragdolling and stuff. He always crashes my game. I suppose that he's the main cause of the problem. I want to know if there's any way of editing my save file so I could remove him (or all corpses, I don't really care) from my game altogether so I could keep playing. This is frustrating, as I can't play for more than two minutes without that f***er messing with the game. Any help would be much appreciated. As for the mods I'm using, I'm just using FOSE, Updated Unofficial Fallout 3 Patch, its translation to Spanish (I also ran ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated), Fallout Stutter Remover and Vanilla UI Plus. I also have my executable LAA patched and edited my Fallout.ini for multi-core compatibility. EDIT: I fixed it! I read in Reddit that New Vegas Anti Crash worked in Fallout 3 so I gave it a try. It worked. That damned Paladin stopped appearing. I suggest everybody to give NVAC a try in Fallout 3.
