How about someone make a mod like the flintlock pistol? Where it's just a "unique staff"... Just replace the flintlock model with the crossbow model, the projectile with a bolt, the sound files with crossbow sounds from somewhere else (possibly dawnguard), textures and so on... Voila, easy one handed crossbow :P The animations aren't even that bad, when u charge the staff it's like u draw the bolt, and since onehanded crossbows are for shorter range, u like move ur hand towards the target when u fire.
