Checking dds compression format with GIMP?

Recently I'm practicing texturing with gimp and other modder's work. When I save my work gimp pops up compression menu and I want to match my dds' format with the original's. I normally select dxt5 but sometimes it makes quite different results like file size. Is there any way to check it?
