  1. Have you tried uninstalling hialgo boost?

I might be mistaken but I think what hialgo boost does is lower the graphical quality when turning the camera to help lower end GPUs with stuttering then when you stop turning it displays normally again. Your system shouldn't need it as it's pretty powerful. I don't think you would need the stuttering fix & 4gb memory patch either...

I used to use hialgo boost ages ago when I had a low end GPU but removed it when I upgraded as it was causing me horrible lag looking up and down and stuttering when looking left and right.

  2. Try updating DirectX. The only time my SKSE has ever crashed during start up is when I reinstalled windows and forgot to update DirectX...

If that still doesn't work, try reinstalling SKSE.

  3. Personally I wouldn't risk using a save file which has had CWO uninstalled no matter how early in the game it is. That mod is very script heavy and it's not worth finding out the save is broken after spending hours getting to that point.

If you have uninstalled it start a new game, if not leave it installed and ask on the forums for help sorting any bugs you're getting.

  4. It looks like your problem is you have not installed the main file for UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul, you have only installed the dawnguard addon. You shouldn't need to worry about the SPIKE.esm for immersive armors as the latest version no longer requires it but BOSS has not yet been updated so still thinks you do.

Where does your game tell you it's only version 1.3?

  5. There are mods which make your carry weight change depending on different things, I use Realistic Needs & Diseases which lowers it if I don't eat, sleep & drink for example.

The original drop of 30-50 may have been caused by a similar mod and then when you changed it via console, you may have completely screwed it up.

As Ripple said, if possible revert to a save before using the console, if not then you may need to start a new game...

  6. Hi Guys,

I've recently been getting some stuttering in open areas which I think is down to high VRAM usage. My system specs are,

    CPU - i5 4670k @ 4GHz

    MOBO - ASUS Z87-Pro

    RAM - 16GB @ 1866MHz

    GPU - ASUS GTX 780 DC2 3GB @ factory overclock

OS - Windows 8 (both OS & Skyrim installed on OCZ Agility 3 SSD with 218GB of free space)

I've not installed any major mods since this has started happening but have noticed that my VRAM usage is basically maxing out, 3060 out of 3072 MB is the highest I've seen it according to ASUS GPU Monitor.

I'm using Project ENB on its default max settings (with SSAO & DOF etc) and play at 1080p with ultra settings on everything except view distance which I have on High (to help frame rate).

One thing that has occurred to me is that in the enblocal.ini I have set the 'VideoMemorySize' under 'Memory' to VideoMemorySizeMb=3072 // VRAM + RAM - 7168, is this correct? I copied these settings from somebody on another thread with a similar system to mine but am now wondering if the '7168' was correct.

I have tried starting a new game with virtually no mods, except ENB & unofficial patches, in an attempt to find if a mod was causing it but still got the stuttering which is what makes me think that ENB setting may be the culprit.

Below is my mods list (I'm also using ALL aMidianborn textures in 2k which do not appear in the list). Also, thanks in advance.

  7. I personally always use ccleaner to clean my registries and temp files etc which does allow you to create a back up beforehand in case something goes wrong. I generally use it to clean my pc every 1-2 weeks and have NEVER had a problem with it nor have I had to use a back up to restore the registry after cleaning it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Its easily one of the best/safest cleaning programs I have ever used!

    Also, its FREE!

  8. I also prefer the categorised favourites menu layout and mine did work ok with the latest SKYUI and CFM except I would get an error message appear every time I opened up the favourites menu which I had to click on to clear. I got round it by going back to SKYUI 3.4.

Delete the favoritesmenu.swf file in the SkyUI mod folder, and then disable favorites menu warnings in the SkyUI MCM.

This is good to know. I'll have to give it a try :)

  9. Armor levels are not capped in the game. The way to upgrade armor value beyond what normal smithing perks allow is to use the enchantment 'fortify smithing' on rings, necklaces, armor pieces and using a fortify smithing potion (or even have the notched pickaxe equipped for an extra little boost).

If that's still not enough to upgrade it as much as you want there are mods which add items with over powered fortify smithing enchantments or the way I do it is enchant armor pieces from mods which have multiple pieces (brokefoots mashup compilation for example) that way you can control the enchantments percentage increase by equipping as many pieces to reach the desired amount.

  10. Are there any mods available, or would anyone be interested in making one, where you can have your character's brother or sister as a companion with custom voice acting and the ability to tell them where to live?

I understand that the hardest part would be getting a good voice actor(s) to do the dialogue but think it would be good to add a member of the dragonborn's family to the game and if some of the dialogue was short stories of what they got up to when they were younger etc
