    all of them

considering the tes games are primairy pc games ( most of us on here most likley play the series on pc ) i decided to kick the topic on here considering beth has made arena and daggerfall freeware how many of the 5 main tes games do you own ? currently i have arena ( free from bethesda) daggerfall (same thing ) morrowind goty morrowind on the xbox and vanilla oblivion with shivering isles and knights of the nine on dvd on pc oblivion with shivering isles on the xbox 360 and just plain old oblivion on the ps3 ( ..it was cheap i couldnt resist ) i am holding off skyrim for a while to see how the mod scene picks up and if i wil or wil not over come my distaste for steam as wel as the inevtiable patches feel free to include the spin offs travels redspire and battleguard if you got them
  2. a daggerfall "installer" comes with dosbox and a front end that does everything for you all you have to do is play the game http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN there is one for arena too it is in english http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Arena_:_ArenaSetup
  3. thats not hard considering the forum i am on oblivion followed by the sims 2 ( ...what ? ) and vampire bloodlines
  4. since when are graphics more important then gameplay ? oblivion has kept me entertained for 5 years and i am sure it will be able to do that for several years to come especially since i still have a lot of quests to do that are in the game let alone all the mods and added downloadable quests skyrim by comparison is at the moment quite barren in the content department purdy graphics only go so far and even 5 years along oblivions til looks good as far as i am concerned
  5. actually i already know how to use the console i tend to use it when i need to go in to a mountain range generally speaking i loath the mountains in oblivion and just fasforward towards the quest object using movetoqt but thanks for the object id numbers anyway and im sure it wil be usefull to others who dont use the console
  6. id rather not see any dlc's at all all they are is a way to sell us half a game for ful price and then weasel out more money via dlc's for content that should have been there to start with ridge racer for the ps vita for exampel or marvel vs capcom 3 or fallout 3 used to be a time when you bought aagem all you needed was there and even more waiting to be unlocked with the odd expansion pack now and then now we are being drip bled for bs dlc's
  7. i am now tempted to look for the glass armor mods they might be silly but i am sick of seeing fur leather and chainmail armor after 5 years my character is currently level 8 and thats the highest i ever got a character i tend to not care about leveling up
  8. from the looks off it you have to download all the individual landscapes ( under the lod header ) and use them with the main mod files avilable here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30054
  9. the most obvious is to check your installation dvd for damage scratches and dirt check of the top of the disc isnt damaged either its that part of the "foil" that actually containst all the data clean your disc and reinstall oblivion just to be sure if you get the same error's your dvd is damaged try having it rebuffed ro just pick up a new version vanilla blivion should be peanuts these days
  10. i have always preferred 1 handed the blade animation is just quicker and 1 free hand allows you to have either a shield or a torch in the other hand with a weapon always at the ready never liked bows my character just wears arrows as decoration
  11. i dont mind the scaled leveling at least i dont have to grind any more just to tackle a important plot point but i am however sick of fighting endless streams of fur clad bandits and wolves when does glass armor start to appear ? ( even if the idea of glass armor is a bit silly)
  12. what other mods have you added ? and when in doubt turn the new ones off and try jumping with out them turn on one jump again and so forth
  13. at least i am not the only one who dislikes steam i have nv on the pc and only found out it needs steam until later thus i never installed or played it on the pc instead i got it on the ps 3 ill need a lot of convincing to buy skyrim on the pc yet a tes game with out mods which isall it will be on the ps 3 doesnt feel right either talk about a rock and a hard place
  14. ever tried oldblivion ? its designed to squeeze acceptable performance out of ancient hardware i once managed to run oblivion with it on a p3 1000 mhz with a geforce 6200
  15. makes you wonder if they have the name of their group sewn in the robes this mythic dawn robe belongs to brother etc
  16. other then the hardware "issues" how does the game actually play ?
  17. i wil continue to play oblivion i finally finished the main quest for once ( i usually tend to wander off because ti involves far too many oblivion gates and i dislike going in to the gates ) i still have the fighters guild to do currently playing shivering isles stil have a load of side quests to do and when all thats sewn up i have knights of the nine and the dlc's waiting and after that ? dozens of quest mods by the time i have done all that new vegas ultimate edition is released and by the time i am done with that skyrim wil have dropped in price and ill probably return to oblivion again and again and again regardless
  18. sure it can why not ? it doesnt even have to be placed in a modern world as long as the explanantion and method to heal your self are plausible ..or at least plausile enough
  19. ...yeaaah i think you got your dates mixed up ..not too mention your facts unless you were joking the trs 80 wasnt released till 1977 i kind of doubt you had a ddp-516 or a kitchen computer both by honeywell and from 1966 and 1969 respectivley the first real personal compyters were the imsai 8080 and the altrai they came both in kit form and premade both date from 1975 a time when atari was already making strides the first truly personal computer for non geeks that you could get premade with a plastic case room for automatic sanctioned expansion that didnt usually required a soldering iron a keyboard ( something the altair and the imsai lacked) and an rf modulator so it coudl be hooked up to a screen ( another thing those two lacked ) was the apple II from 1977 the apple I was stil just a breadboard where you had to add your own hardware and the ibm 5100 might have been the worlds first portable but at 20 grand in 1975 it was anything but cheap or aimed at the home user the whole sinclair thing sounds dubious to me considering the imsais altair and apple II were there years before the sinclair zx80 the sinclairs only real claime to fame was the fact that it was dirt cheap compared to the others such as the trs 80 and the apple II the zx 80 showed the world it was possible and usherd in a new era by being a 'real' computer for less then a 100 that however doesn not make it the first personal computer the apple II was already 3 years old by the time the lisa was released and so was the apple III and countles others the ibm pc was released in 1981 as a response to apple and commodore mostly the zx80 was a bottom of the barrel dirt cheap machine with 1k of ram 4 k rom and a membrane keyboard 2 year later commodore stepped up to the plate and did it all over again with a better machine the c64 as far as that first facotry made unit i could have sworn the apple II came in both kit and fully assembeld form in april 1977 the tsr 80 was released in august 1977 the sinclair didnt see the light of day till 1980 make of that what you want
  20. an ati radeon 2400 hd pro with 256 mb in a pcie slot it works just fine and does what i want it to do so i am happy ( ie it runs sims 2 vampire bloodlines and redemption and oblivion with no fuss which is all i want it to do )
  21. err not to rain on your parade but there was no super mario bros 3 on the snes in 1991 there was mario bros 3 on the nes in 1990 super mario world in 1991 and mario all stars (all 4 mario nes games ina 16 bit gloss) in 1993
  22. i played way of the samurai i would not call it best ..or good or even passable its slow and plodding and one of your characters is an afro samurai bizarre at best then again i like bizarre and i have a soft spot for the spyro games front mission 4 grandia 1 and 2 and most dreamcast games
  23. pc only ? if so its going to be a very very short list sims 2 oblivion and vampire bloodlines because thats all i really play on the pc
