  1. When talking to npcs in daylight their faces turn pure white with barely any facial featurs visible, is there any way to improve this? Turning brightness to min doesn't help.
  2. What are you talking about? Community patches and compilations is a common thing for two decades or so now. And never before I've seen them discouraged and closed due to "problems" that arose here. Now that you say it, maybe its not the nexus which is a problem, but the modding community in general degraded over the years, as modding became too accessible, thus morals and common sense fell to those of your average commoner. He can't help if we are being stupid. Yup, so for the sake of idiocracy let's triple the work required to do it!
  3. Imo, better not release anything at all and let it be made by people who actually wish to contribute to the community - not pollute it in the name of childish ego problems. Such "modders" usually produce junk mods like "your uber gun" or "original house in balmora" anyway, but somehow their interests are still enforced by default here over everyone else, it seems.
  4. You do realize that the majority of fixes we are talking about just change a couple of numbers or logical instructions in scripts, and you are basically advocating for the removal of credit to original authors altogether? You are kidding. You must be. You say that every single player must manually download dozens if not hundreds of fixes, merge them, check for conflicts... :wallbash: Do enough work to just create your own damn patch from scratch. And for the sake of what, some lame bureaucratics? None of it, actually. I'm just glad that nexus didn't exist in the times of BG, Fallouts, Morrowind and many other good games which we can all play with great community fixes compilations - without anyone ever complaining.
  5. How exactly did you fix it? As I stated above, I don't see any trouble in the original scripts: "Primm wimped out and accepted NCR rule. Some people will do anything to feel safe." Condition: VStoryEventPrimmSheriff == 1, which is correct, as 1 = McGee aka NCR. "Primm has a new Sheriff. That should keep the Powder Gangers away." Condition: VStoryEventPrimmSheriff > 0 and < 4 (leaves us with 1, 2 or 3) - this is correct as well, checks if Primm has any sheriff.
  6. So, are there any decent modding communities out there without such dumb policies and butthurt modders? After reading this thread, I feel too dirty for getting some mods from this site.
  7. Bug: if you choose Meyer as a sheriff, npcs around the game will still tell the line about NCR. Haven't done any modding for this engine since Morrowind, but scripts seem correct to me... Condition for this line to appear: Global VStoryEventPrimmSheriff == 1 ; 1 = NCR, 2 = Meyer, 3 = Primm Slimm Quest stage finisher for Meyer, called from his dialog (setstage nvPRimmDeputyConv 120): rewardxp 300 set nvprimmdeputyconv.iTownState to 1 completeallobjectives nvPrimmDeputyConv set nVPrimmDeputyConv.PrimmState to 2 ;PrimmPGDeputyRef1.Enable setobjectivecompleted nvPrimmDeputyConv 36 1 set nvPrimmDeputyConv.BeagleCaptured to 4 set nvPrimmDeputyConv.MeyerSheriffState to 1 set VStoryEventPrimm to 1 set VStoryEventPrimmSheriff to 2 Yet somehow this line is still called.
