  1. well, it fixed two things that I had kind of written off, but already deeply appreciate in less than an hour's play -- there appear to actually BE things in strongboxes now (I'd found maybe ten of them before with NEVER anything in them), and now when my Bound Bow kills an enemy and captures its soul, the capture soul animation plays, whereas before it did not. Sweet! So far it's a winner, if not a complete game-changer. How did they break/fix enchanting? Yes, I read the change notes, but nothing seems too egregiously bad in there.
  2. I've been playing Skyrim 1.9.32 for about 140 hours and whereas I've noticed a few oddities here and there, there's been nothing really horrible. So I'm wondering if I install and the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, will it make my gameplay experience that much better, like will I say "geez, why did I not do this 120 hours ago?" or will it not really make that much of a difference? I've got the Nexus Mod Manager and I can fuss with my load order if I have to, I suppose ... but as the saying goes, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
  3. Ishara, would you suggest uninstalling the Steam workshop mods and then reinstalling them via NMM where available? (I haven't found a Lighten Up mod yet, though; if I don't find one I'm sure that will b0rk my game beyond recognition because I'd rather play the game than micromanage what's in my pack :)
  4. thanks for the tips ... I really appreciate them :)
  5. I've happily been playing Skyrim for over 100 hours via Steam w no issues, and I've gotten a few minor mods via Steam's Workshop service. Mostly stuff like item weight changes, item sorting, loud waterfalls, a few other tweaks here and there. One things I've never really cared for in Skyrim was the UI, though, and after seeing SkyUI I wanted to give that a whirl ... and now I'm getting ready to take that plunge. I'm wondering, though, what I should do with my other mods -- are they compatible with NMM? Will they show up in there? How does NMM interact with the Steam version of Skyrim? If there's somewhere I can go to read about this, that would be great -- I just haven't found it yet. I haven't looked that hard yet, either, I'll be honest, so if it's a n00b answer then there you go :) thanks!
