  1. I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I am trying to mod my game with an ENB for the first time. My problem is that every ENB preset i try out turns out exactly the same. Everything seems a little duller and interiors and nights are brighter. I have tried several different ENBs, all with their own recommended climate and lighting mods, yet the image i end up with is almost always the same. Changing most values in the ENB setting screen does nothing, and i cant even get the weathers screen to work right. I have followed all instructions of the authors to the letter but i am at a loss. My computer can more than handle any ENB. Thanks in advance
  2. Hi everyone, I'm looking for an immersive mod that will add item wear to Skyrim, forcing me to use a grindstone or workbench to "repair" my gear as it gets damaged from combat: mainly focused on weapons and armour but one that covers all equipment would be ok. thanks for your help
  3. I have removed RLO (incompatible with CoT according to BOSS), and tried to reorder the placement of the unrecognised mods and addressed everything that BOSS lists and I am still crashing... the general place I crashed did change from a little outside Whiterun to crashing at the Western Watchtower, but basically the same outcome. I am thinking ill just start from scratch again and load each mod individually and test it thoroughly before moving onto the next mod and piece it together bit by bit. Unless there's anything else someone can suggest, I am at a total loss
  4. well the unrecognised mods I manually place correctly (as far as I can tell), and as far as I could find the only incompatible mods are CoT and RLO, and as long as I use custom installation for RLO and not include the stuff incompatible with COT, and load it after COT that I know works fine and I have heard of others using both these together like this without issues as well. I may have found the cause of my issues (I am testing at the moment) and I will let you know how it goes... the .ini i made for SKSE I named skse.ini not SKSE.ini and so far no crashing lol
  5. Ok Georgiegril so I have cleaned the edits with TES5 Edit like you said and still crashing (thanks to Gopher for his instructional videos)... I have included an attachment of my BOSS log and information provided by the performance monitor. As you can see zod18, I only reach a maximum of somewhere around 800mb VRAM used before I crash so this is definitely not my VRAM running out. I am assuming the "current" column is where my performance was at when I crashed
  6. That was my initial thought as well zod18, however that's why I am wondering how some people can be running more than twice the amount of mods that I am with only half the VRAM and not encountering any issues at all... doesn't make much sense to me. I would have thought 200+ mods with only a gig of VRAM would cause some crashing. I will still do as you advise and try out the performance monitor to see how much VRAM I am using and let you know what it comes up with once I have gone through what Georgiegril has advised me to do. thank you
  7. thanks Georgiegril i will do that now and follow up with how it went.
  8. please help... I often get a CTD while playing with a number of mods. I always thought it was my VRAM, but I hear of some people with only 1GB of VRAM using 200+ mods, many of which are texture mods, and have no issues and I only have 118 total plugins running (ill list my mods below), with 2GB of VRAM. At this point in time I have only managed to get about around Riverwood and Whiterun, and the crashes only seem to happen in the large hunting grounds outside Whiterun, and always while heading away from Whiterun in the general direction of Rorikstead or towards the local giant camp. I generally sit between 45 and 60 FPS, down to 35 when looking out over Whiterun from Dragonsreach (said to be the most taxing scene in the game) with still perfectly smooth gameplay and no crashes. Most of the texture mods I have switched down to their lowest settings, and toyed with SMIMs ropes and chains changes, but nothing like that is present when I crash, its generally just open terrain. These crashes have happened in both stormy and clear weather conditions (in case that could be a factor) My computer specs: - 8 core processor factory overclocked to 4.20GHz - 16GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM - 2GB DDR5 graphics card - Windows 7 - 64 bit system (but I hear Skyrim only plays in 32 anyway) Mods I am running (in no particular order, I have spent hours researching every mod to ensure its place in my load order is optimal), without including the very obvious patches I should be using as per mods instructions: - Skyfall Estate - Multiple adoption friendly - Convienient Horses - Fores New Idles in Skyrim - Immersive Armours - Real Dragonpriest Masks - Royal Elven Armour Standalone - Dawn of Riften - Damn of Whiterun - Dawn of Windhelm - Expanded Winterhold Destruction Ruins - Immersive Settlements - Cloaks of Skyrim - Winter is Coming (with small textures add-on) - Dual Combat Parrying - INIGO - Enhanced Distant Terrain (lowest possible settings) (I suspect this may be a cause, trying it without this mod next) - Supreme Storms - Better Archery Eagleye Perk - Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions - Run for your lives - Skyhaven Teleporter - Skyrim Unleashed (with Immersive Weapons and Immersive Armours compatibility patches) - When Vampires Attack - Alchemist Compendium - Cannabis Skyrim ;) :P - Drinking Fountains of Skyrim - Frostfall - Guard Dialogue Overhaul - High Hrothgar Teleport - Hold Border Banners - Hunterborn - iNeed - Lanterns of Skyrim - Telescope - Wet and Cold + Ashes - Harvest Overhaul - Acquisitive Soul Gems - Night Eye Illusion Spell - Teleportation Spell with Menu and Mark and Recall with Menu - Craftable Dragonpriest Masks - Brawl Bugs Patch - BGM Glass and Elven Armour and Weapons - Climates of Tamriel (with weathers and sounds) - Deadly Dragons - Realistic Lighting Overhaul (customised so to not utilise features incompatible with CoT) - Unofficial patches (including for DLCs, and Hi-Res) - Recruit More Blades - Skyhaven Temple Enhanced - Ishs Souls to Perks - Skyrim Unlimited Training - SKSE 1.7.00 (of course) (yes I have made the appropriate .ini file with the correct text so to fix Skyrim's memory issues) - A Matter of Time - Better Dialogue Controls - More HUD - RaceMenu - SkyUI - Warburg's 3D Paper World Map - Follower Trap Safety - Pure Waters - SMIM - True Torches - Daedric Crossbow - Dragonbone Crossbow - Immersive Weapons While I understand that I could possibly rule most of these mods out as the cause, I have provided every active mod to give you the most information I can. As I am still fairly new to modding (without being completely clueless) I have not toyed with TESV edit, and BOSS does tell me some of these mods have dirty edits, could this possibly cause my CTD? Yes I do use WryeBash and create a bashed patch to merge my plugins. Ok I think I have just about covered everything here I can think of, but please let me know if there is any more information you need, and any advice anyone can give me is greatly appreciated as these crashes are seriously annoying.
  9. One telescope, coming up. awesome thank you i will try this out... stupid me... i should have looked up telescope and not just "spyglass" lol
  10. Hi everyone, im looking for a mod that adds a spyglass (or something similar) to my inventory, so i can survey an enemy stronghold or bandit camp from a distance before making my move to attack. While the Eagle Eye perk is a little useful for this, it does not allow you to see as far as a spyglass would. Can someone please help me find a mod (if it exists) that lets me do this?
  11. Thanks for the help Whoden, appreciated bud
  12. Hi guys... dont know about you all, but im starting to get pi$$ed off with dragons, vampires and other creatures coming into towns and killing the townsfolk... i see that the guards get replaced (and why wouldnt they be?), but the townsfolk run head first into battle against creatures that should frighten them, and go and get themselves killed all the time, and wiping themselves from the rest of the game... i have actually had Riverwood practically become a ghost town in a couple of play throughs, because virtually everyone was dead. This is actually one of the reasons i stopped playing the main quest until much later in the game, because i was sick of running into riverwood for supplies for Lakeview Manor only to be set on by a dragon that went around trying to kill everyone but me. Is there a mod that anyone knows of that will protect the villagers in some way? make them run indoors or something? Anything that will cause them to not die just because i choose to do business in a little country town rather than in the cities where dragons dont appear.
  13. Does anyone know of a mod that will allow you to turn lights off? something that lets you activate light sources to put them out (blow out a candle, put out a camp fire etc)
