  1. Hello Modders! I've been tinkering with the tools for a bit and I've always been stronger on the coding side rather than the art side of bringing in/creating models/textures. I can't for the life of me figure out how to import these weapon models and textures that I would like to leverage for my mod. From what I can see you have to be able to convert your files in to a UPK package for the Unreal Editor but I have no idea how to do that. There are very few tutorials or information detailing the process. I've looked at Capnbub's guide for props but that didn't help out too much. The files I'm trying to work with are in the format of .obj .mtl and .dae, I'm not sure how textures get applied to a model. I have a bunch of textures that were extracted as .PNG for some reason. I thought textures were usually .TGA or .DDS. If anyone can give me some explanation on what each of these model files actually are and how to work with them in to the Unreal Editor it would greatly get me on the path to pushing out a mod I want to do.
