Anyone else have a clue as to why NMM won't install?

I finally managed to find driver updates for my video card and installed them. Now I'm not getting the Failed to initialize Renderer message anymore. But there's another problem. The game loads and I try to start a new game and for some reason while its on the loading screen it just closes. Just vanishes from the screen. I've tried disabling the mods I put in but its still happening. Any fixes for this problem?

That was actually one of the first fixes I found and tried and even tried again after you suggested it. Still giving me the error: Failed to Initialize Renderer. So the problem seems to lie elsewhere. Another error I've gotten is when I try to go into the options and set it to Windowed mode. Not only does it show Failed to Initialize Renderer but it also adds: Windowed Mode not Supported on this Adapter. Hope this helps.

Every time I try to run this game I always get this error message: Failed to Initialize Renderer. Which isn't very helpful since it doesn't actually say whats wrong. All my searches seem to indicate that it might be a video card conflict but I have yet to find a workable fix. I've tried finding updates for my drivers but I keep running into to sites that want me to install their programs. Which leaves me concerned about getting infected with malware and viruses. Anyways I'm using a Radeon HD 6450 Graphics card on a Windows XP Pro system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I mean that I am trying to install it now. I installed the game first and then tried to install NMM. But nothing happens when I try to run Nexus Mod Manager-0.45.6.exe. Literally nothing happens. No install window, no prompts, nothing to show that it is doing anything. I set up my system so that I always am the admin. As for running the file as administrator it doesn't work. I even looked up how to do it to be sure I was doing it right. I used Windows Explorer and navigated to the folder with the install file and held down Shift while I right clicked and when to Run As... and still nothing happened. I have tried deleting the install file and re-downloading it just in case I got a corrupted file the first time. But I'm still getting the same result, nothing.

I just got the PC version of Skyrim and wanted to use the NMM for the mods I've been downloading for it. So I completely install the game first. But when I try to run Nexus Mod Manager-0.45.6.exe nothing happens. I wait 5 minutes in case there was some kind of launch lag but still nothing. Could this be a bad version of the install? BTW I'm running Windows XP Pro if that is any help.

Just for fun I did a search for Mass Effect related mods for Skyrim and got this game save where Alithinos made a character that looked very close to Miranda Lawson. I would like to see this turned into a follower. Perhaps a battle mage type character that uses both magic and one handed weapons like the character in ME did with her biotics and guns. Is there a spell mod where you get a revive or life spell that can revive dead NPC's and followers? I know you can revive dead NPC's with a console command but it would be more satisfying to do it with a spell.
