  1. It tends to happen to me as well around especially the pool of lava on the bottom floors of the sigil towers, but can happen without 100% magicka resistance along any other parts of the beam of light in the center of each tower. I don't think it's a bug as much as just a part of the game. Try and get into the side rooms of the towers as quickly as possible to reduce the chances of this happening.
  2. Hello everyone from Nexus!

I was wanting to make a mod where you could have the Left 4 Dead 1 characters be possible combat partners using the CM partners mod on Nexus. I think I'll be able to make the characters themselves well enough. However, I have no skills beyond using the CS in modeling and texturing and was wondering if there is anyone out there who would like to help me with this part of the mod.

I can't find any Left 4 Dead CM partner mods on Nexus, so I think it'd be an interesting addition to the game.

If you could offer any assistance with the above-mentioned things, I'd really appreciate it! :)

  3. http://obse.silverlock.org/

Looking at their main site, it seems they provide support for the Steam version on their latest OBSE build. But looking on the same page however, don't get the D2D version of Oblivion if you want to use OBSE as it's an encrypted version and breaking that encryption to get something like OBSE to work is illegal.

  4. I like level systems, they make the game much more harder. :]

I'd personally beg to differ. They just seem to make the game longer (longer fights for example, on that one ogre that just won't die when you're on level 50). I don't usually find fights in Oblivion that hard unless there are a lot of enemies (which you can get on any level).

    VR

VR is meant to just be a retreat from everyday life events as a sort of stress-relief. The only way I can see it as bad is when people act out what they do in the video games or movies themselves (which I personally never do), or when they become so addicted to it that they are unable to pull themselves away from it and forget about everything else.

I'm sure that every well-off person knows that it's unreasonable to jump onto a helicopter from a 100 story building.

I would not be to shure about that. Trainsurfing, a risky sport amongst young people, must come from somewhere.

I didn't say everyone, just to clarify things. I mean the people who know better than to do careless things such as those.

(just italicised that part of my first post, btw)

  5. Just about anything that isn't country, rap, or heavy metal or heavy rock is fine with me (there are exceptions among those though).

AND THE BRITNEY SONG WAS ON........

AND THE BRITNEY SONG WAS OOOOOOOOONN!!!!!!

In the "Bugs" section of this article:

Here, it says the best thing to do is find a way to get yourself arrested and later on when you return, she'll be out of the cage where you can kill her yourself. I don't believe the quest will continue until she's dead (explaining why Syl won't talk to you).

Also, it says you can use an area of effect destruction spell on the cage to kill her.

  7. Try in the CS with these instructions:

In the CS, go to the top and look for "character", then open up that list and select "race". A new menu should pop up. In the editor ID column, look for "Breton" (ought to be the second option) and off to the right where it says "Male voice race", look for "Breton". Change that, but make sure the female race stays as "Imperial".

Preferably, you'll want to make sure you're editing the .esp file you mentioned.

  8. here are the things i hate in oblivion

1.race selection is too small (vanilla)

    2.armor and clothing are boring(vanilla)

    3.weapons are boring(vanilla)

4.the blood texture is not that great(vanilla)

5.the sky;water and other staff can be more realistic(vanilla)

    6.THE ANNOYING TUTIRIAL(vanilla)

    7.guards

8.all the npc's are half robots

The first three and #6 didn't really bother me that much, but the rest really kinda did. Especially the psychic guards part. How the heck do they know you killed that last legionnaire in the middle of the Nibenaen (spelling) forest miles away from any town or settlement?

Do they have instant fingerprint matching or something?

The water looks flat and fake, almost like a return to the old days of Quake 1 and Half life 1. Only just a bit more transparent, but still not nearly enough so to do the game justice.

The blood does look fake, now that you mention it. Even for a 2006 game.

The NPC's schedules are too predictable. Only a couple of them actually do anything besides wander the city all day long. They must be really bored with life to not even be working at all...

Don't forget, however, the almost empty cities as well, and horrible ratio of citizens/city guards.

  9. that might be possible some day, but we'd probably have the Nexus down for days at a time, and it would cost Dark0ne loads of more money than what he's paying right now. Remember, he pays for this site, with all it's mods, info, and members, out of his own pocket, and we need to respect everything he has given us that he really isn't obligated to provide us with.

Are the download speeds that slow though?
