  1. Yay :D great For the upcoming month before we really start I'm gonna try to already start learning some basic before you teach me Vswe ;) Good we are three people now, Ok From today I'll be off the forum in the meantime I would suggest that we all think about some cool REALLY important features ;) The name of the mod and the name of the family :) Have fun whatever you do in real life ^^
  2. Ok, I may be rude but that would be a waste just to wait that someone make the mod just for you (first because learning is always a good experience and second because this way you'll have it the way you want as well :D ). As I've heard once : don't wait, act :P So We'd better try to make it more real :) By : Building a team ( 2 people is a good start for a team ;p ) Defining how long it would take to train ourselves to the desired skills. Define the step by step. What our goal would be then? -Fitting them neatly as part of our learning process would be the best of course to save time and work on some practical case What would be absolutely needed for the beginning? -Writing, creating the story, probably the easiest bit according to what I see ^^ -Creating NPCs -Creating few quests for a start -Designing building/caves (1 of each perhaps?) The bits for far later : Retexturing, design of new items, Building type, voice acting, custom complicated scripting involving major overhaul...XD Do I forget something? So I give my word : I'm up to start it after the 21st of October I really hope that this project will become something in construction, more than just and idea ^^ would be nice Kimi15, ready for the challenge? :D
  3. Hum, with a bit of imagination this thread becomes really interesting :D The mod servant of the dawn gave me a pretty well idea of what my character would do with an army of 250 men which is roughly what? the size of a company or a battalions... Serving Mehrune Dagon (I like the bad guys ) 50 acolytes and 200 daedra of all sorts mostly markinaz and a some xivilaz for the fun. Of course other types of daedra as pets ^^ With this the plan would be to get out of that pocket that is paradise (boring after a while) and establish a whole new province by burning to the ground a city such as ...Kvatch :) (yeah once again, I like that ^^ ) That for final goal to allow all kind of non human/khajit/argonian/elf races to walk on cyrodiil in a safe place. Oh and did I forgot to say that those who would be the less respected would be the elfes followed by the human? Argonian and khajit being just...common folks: no threatened but not respected either ^^ As it is too much a pain in the neck to rule a small country 8 daedra lords would rule the common affairs... Ok I stop my dreams of power :D That gave me an idea to develop with my character ^^
  4. Hey, I though about your idea which I like ^^ I also though about it as something big...too big to say right from the start this gonna be done. On the other hand it has never been seen before the RISE of a great house/family/guild before (or briefly if you consider the blackwood company. So what I would suggest is this : Starting by something very small the very bases of the idea such as a big boss to obey and only one feature i.e: blackmail or just threatening shopkeeper (what I say is or example purpose, I have no idea what would be the simplest. ). And then, as we get more skilled and why not more people new features are added. A concrete example of something like that would perhaps be the Cyrodiil overhaul project in a much bigger size than what you suggested. As in real life I am taking a year "off" meaning that I don't plan to go onto any studies during that time I could be free and willing to do it. I would attracted by background writing and scripting sounds interesting. So I just wait for your reply and see ;) See ya Kalas
  5. Great idea I like it, Just to add something: why not focusing more this new family onto something neither the DB nor the Thieves guild really do? plus just a bit of what they do to add some tensions? I explain it better : DB kills people Thieves steal but they don't, as far as I know : deal with skooma, and other special needs from clients, they also don't blackmail merchants. I am only talking about the daily activities as they sometimes do it anyway. So this family could blackmail, threat people to get money, hurt them but not kill them as long as they have a use for them. I would add the other idea of identity theft as well : stealing deeds, properties, corrupting imperial officer to transfer them from one people to another in order to make themselves stronger. Fake Ayleid art opposed with an imperial order who wants to acquire all their knowledge (remember the charred corpse at the top of cloud top? ) Women division a bit like the gang in anvil operating at the flowing bowl Hope that it gives some helps, nice idea, couldn't it be linked with the great houses? By putting this idea into a house instead of mafia or middle aged cosa nostra this stays neatly within the background I think... Well all of it is just idea, hope that helps :)
  6. 1 Postal dude is showing up (from the game of the same name 2 Possibility to listen our own music in places like tavern and inn 3 Bathroom. (haven't you ever noticed that not only as said before no toilets are there but there is no bathroom as well? ) 4 Being able to write using quill and parchment 5 Celebration. Lots of kings in the past and end of famous wars but no event like that. odd isn't it? From the cheese festival to Cyrodiil first days of existence as it is Among those five 4 seems to me potential ideas, one is not ;p guess which one ^^
  7. It's a bit difficult to answer because it changed a bit for me every time I experienced the game. So I'll talk about the first time when I didn't know anything about the game beforehand :) I didn't like killing the members except the Khajit who I decided to suspect to be the traitor. and I didn't like killing Lucien Lachance... The biggest surprise for me was that I had killed half of the main instance of the DB xD That, that was funny ^^ The rest of the kills of my characters were more or less like : no justice, no judging. Once a target was down it didn't existed anymore so no need to turn back and have a look (I just felt a bit sorry for baenlin's bodyguard when you meet him at Olav inn ;p )
