  1. tutorial for using nvidia plug-ins for PSP [i'm using x8]. yes you can just drop them into psp and they work. download the tools from site; https://gametechdev.github.io/ITW-Beta-Test/ and these https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop unzip to a folder anywhere, then copy the contents [see list below] C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X8 (64-bit)\PlugIns\EN the file list should be like this inside the plugins in the >en< file: dds64.8bi IntelTextureWorks.8bi NormalMapFilter64 NVIDIA_CubeMapShuffler NVIDIA_Mipster lot cheaper than photoshop! to use, got to 'effects' drop-down-list in psp, and at the bottom will be the plugins.
  2. jet4571 Thanks for the link and the info, its good to know the colours aren’t limited. :)
  3. Journeyman, hi Yes I totally agree, I am just going to start a raider playthrough just because the storyline is no longer important to me. Concerning scripting and storytelling, I have wondered if the story-line could be bloated up a bit by changing the battles I.e. Including tanks, armored vehicles and their flying equivalents [all made from black diamond and semitransparent chrome, and light] in low level combat. So all it needs now is vehicle mods. I mean its just a bit mad, stupid even, that there are no 4X4’s, tanks and futuristic flyers. Another area that could be massively expanded, is the raider attacks. Factions could be put at war via existing dialogue [or new at a later point], and wholescale attacks on settlements could occur. This could easily become a more existentially fluidic world experience imho.
  4. Thanks for the great responses! So I can save any colours as long as its dds1? I can make any 2d image using a photo-cloning technique, but I use psp and dtx bitmap to export the files into that, so I don’t know much beyond basic dds formats. So why is there only 1 colour used on body/face textures? I had just done a few strokes of the clone brush, and that was enough to make the image go black in game. I had thought that modern game engines were using some hues for the light/bump map? ...hence a limitation.
  5. i had assumed skyrim was more or less the same engine? the texture i made for skyrim was the same size as the one i was replacing. is there no hue limit in fallout then? the skin textures seam so limited compared to natural human skin e.g. copied from photos.
  6. No its just the 2d I deal with ~ the .dds file. It is that which appears to be the same colour throughout. thanks
  7. Face & body textures only use 1 hue? I wanted to make a face then body texture for fallout4, using the photo-clone tool technique, but when I tried it in skyrim the game showed it as black. Looking at existing skins, they look like they only have [different shades of] 1 colour, so I assume there is a set hue limit or type of hue which has to be used?
  8. I just hope someone turns jetpacks+power armour into flying vehicles/cars tanks. Preferably open top and rat-rod style, made from some of the existing car shells in game. Ps. If anyone wants to make them, I can help graphically.
  9. yea most the existing factions require raiding imho :ninja: :pirate:
  10. anyone know the faction id's and codes to play as raider [console commands]? I've done a normal playthrough, now started a new game wandering around n stuff, I like some of the raider locations so I was thinking of setting up home for a while. so far I got this; "setAlly playerFaction theirFaction 0" or setEnemy using 1. but I don't know the id numbers.
  11. a futurism mod please. everything sleeker, flying cars, tanks vehicles etc. maybe use a player race as the vehicles so they work like the flying robots? I think the engine struggles with moving models inside a moving model or some reason why this and skyrim cant take vehicles?
  12. Dont know the method, but I think simply using low res textures will animate quicker, probably instantly. They will still look high quality ~ a bit like how a relatively low res monior/Tv can look good.
  13. BTW, modders who help will get their own custom heraldry which will go onto the mod. :)
  14. hi, I cant get on with ck but can make textures and have time spare. I was wondering if anyone wanted to help make a sci-fi mod using existing mods. reason being that close combat is a bit boring after a while, but ranged combat system is good ~ and doesn't require dialogue [just generic]. so a few laser weapons from star wars mods would make for a good game. I want to make a useable mod in stages rather than take on a large project ~ as I am sure you all do. I think all additions to the game should be given reason as to why the tech works e.g. nano-mesh armour, to give light armour a believable value. 'genetic skin pigmentation manipulation' would allow me to create multi coloured skin and designs which would still look 'natural', and I could make quickly at highest quality. ps, I just edited almost every skin in the game in one week ~ 30% less saturation, + 4 brightness and +10-20 contrast, which makes the game look very real. just to let you know how quick I can work! I would like this to develop into our own thing - at least visually, and add new ideas as we go e.g. flying craft which look like retro-custom cars which hover, robo-butterflies and dragonflies etc. I would use dragon mounts as a base for vehicles. a few images/ideas in zip [not originally intended for skyrim but for real life. - here's hoping!
  15. ^^ there is a schoolgirl mod, just google it, I had it once, its nice.
