  1. Okay, I've followed all instructions to downgrade to 163 and checked/updated some mods so that they could work. There's some progress but unfortunately the areas that were causing the game to CTDs are still causing them... Edit: Ran Loot, and recheked my mods and there's some improvements but still experience CTDs. Commonwealth and Nuka World are relatively problem-free as it is.
  2. You may be right. I believe a downgrade to 1.10.163 is in order. My question being, if I have NG mods, would that conflict?
  3. I've currently started a new playthrough with a new character and see where it goes but I've already had two CTD's insofar approaching certain spots. I have also sorted my load order with Loot but it's not making a difference.
  4. My game was running quite fine before the stupid and forced-down-our-throats so-called "next-gen" update. But now, everything's gone to the dogs. I've experienced a few CTD's in the Commonwealth but that's to be expected, the game being Bethesda after all. Then, I decided to continue the Far Harbor storyline that I had started pre-update. Every area had already been discovered during a pre-update session, but now, several places just make the game CTD just by approaching them. Nuka World runs fine, but now the problems have extended to the Commonwealth itself; several buildings now cause CTD's just be entering the cells. I haven't added any mod since the update so now I'm guessing the update screwed everything up. Thing is, how do I fix this?
  5. Before the garbage update, I was able to remove some mods from my game with no ill effects. After removing some, and replace them with better mods, and when loading my saves, a window would appear, telling me that my saves had mods which are no longer present, and then asking me if I wanted to continue. I've always clicked OK and my saves would load without an itch. Since the update, any mod I remove gives me the message but even if I click OK, or press Enter, the game freezes, forcing me to CTRL-ALT-DEL and terminate FO4. Because of this, none of my pre-update saves can be loaded. Anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround?
  6. Re-installed F4 from scratch, installed FreeFlyCam, then Photo Mode. Unfortunately, it remains the same.
  7. I recently did a complete and fresh re-install of Fallout 4. I then re-installed my mods, including Photo Mode, but it's not working. Previously, on my old game, I could move the camera around my characters using W, A,S,D but now there keys don't work, nor do any other, including the arrow keys. Tried everything, from using caps lock, to hum pad, and everything in between. The mod only requires F4SE, which has been installed. I posted a message on the mod's page but insofar no one has replied. So, I'm turning to you guys to help me out.
  8. Yes, you could, but the great majority of modders simply rip said assets and often make mention of it. And even if it's more obvious with mag covers, the worse that could have happened would have been a cease and desist, and for that to happen, it would require Playboy to give a tenpenny duck about it.
  9. Not entirely true. Go in the mods section, and you'll find tons of mods with assets from Modern Warfare, CoD, Halo, Battlefield, and many other games still up for grabs and haven't been deleted at all. See what I'm getting at?
  10. Playboy isn't what it once was. Hefner is gone and the magazine as well. Not sure that what remains of the company has people "actively" looking for copyright infringements. The worse that could have happened if such people would have stumbled on my mod would have been a notice to remove it. That's it. Game companies also have lawyers, and darn good ones too. CD Projekt Red is pretty cool about modders using their assets in other games, but others, not so much. That's why I don't understand why it's ok for modders to rip assets from other games and put their mods here for all to download without a hitch while mine got the boot.
  11. ZIP has the advantage of being a universal format these days, handled natively by most operating systems. But yeah, I use 7Z too lol @FullMetalMadcat Here's the deal. When you save the ESP it gets saved to your Fallout4\Data directory. The new ESP is not enabled by default, you have to do that using your mod manager (or editing the plugins.txt and loadorder.txt files). If you want to share your work, use the file menu in the CK to Create Archive. This creates a BA2 with all your assets. You then zip up the ESP and BA2 files. The zip can be used to install the mod elsewhere. If you don't use the Create Archive function you are likely to lose bits such as script fragments, and any BA2 you manually created is likely to not work right. Well, I guess it doesn't matter now as a moderator removed my mod from the Nexus a few hours after it was posted. My mod essentially replaced all the magazines with vintage covers of Playboy from the 50's and 60's, and the mod stated that I used copyrighted material. Never mind the fact that tons of mods use assets; models, textures, SFX, and music lifted from other games, and get posted almost daily without a problem. Oh well, at least I learned more about the CK.
  12. I'm currently working on a mod which replaces all the magazines with new covers. The graphics part is 100% done and as a complement, I'd like to edit the messages that are displayed when you pick them up. I've looked far and wide with Google but so far I haven't found any info about how I should proceed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Edit: I've toyed with the Creation Kit and found the messages related to the mags, and edited the info. Upon saving the CC asked me to give the ESP a name, which I've typed. At this point, would the mags and the ESP be reading to zip and sent to the mods section?
  13. For your questions: Are you sure? Yes. I always check the bugs section of every mod I download, and none have any conflict with the save/quicksave feature. How do you mean the latest install is the "most stable"? Game is up to date with the latest build. Does you PC meet the requirements? I far exceed the requirements. I can run Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra. "Saving" is handled by the game's core engine as far as I know.. Well, I recently learned that although the game engine is responsible for saving, the problem *may* reside in the location of the install, which for Steam, is currently in C:\Program Files (x86). Someone mentioned in a thread on Reddit that Steam should ideally be install outside of C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). Preferably somewhere like C:\Steam. Some added notes: The failure to save/quicksave is a recent bug, and has not affected me since my last install, which goes back to beginning of summer when I got my new machine, and I've logged several hundred hours of gameplay since then.
  14. I have four characters on my Fallout 4 roster right now. Three females, and one male. I'd like one of my female characters to have a unique set of tattoos which, unfortunately, don't come as overlays you can apply with Unique Player (I already have some overlays). Now, is it possible to have different texture folders for each of my female characters so I could apply the tattoo skin on one without applying it to my two others?
  15. My current Fallout 4 install is perhaps the most stable I've had. A few CTD's here and there but nothing major. Since yesterday I cannot save nor quicksave my game. Quite frustrating. To help clear out some questions; - I do not play survival but in normal mode. - My antivirus allows Fallout 4 to run, and I do not have other programs of the kind. - I have no mods which would interfere with saves. - I turned off cloud saves on Steam. - Although sleeping show that the game has been quicksaved, it is not the case as when I reload the last save I'm thrown back to when save/quicksave was working. - On other profiles, save/quicksave works normally, but on some it stops working. Right now, I'm stuck and cannot move forward. Any suggestions?
