  1. Well, I'm playing the game with all my selected mods and things are going okay so far. I do get occasional crashes, but they aren't repetitive and unavoidable as the rivet city one had been. Every time I can just reload and try again and then I get past where the crash happened fine. So I think this is as good as it's going to get. Thanks for all your help.
  2. Okay so... What I've done is, I took all the mods I wanted and dumped all the contents of data folders or the root folders into one "mods" folder, then zipped the mods folder, then used Mod Organizer (unfortunately the current version, I could not get the older version to install) to take the zipped mods and install them to the game. I deactivated the mods category in the left window, so all that was left was the base game, the DLCs, and FWE and its DLC plugins. After starting the game, I went to the market place and got inside without issue, though it was closed in the middle of the day to my confusion. It should only be closed at night? Anyhow...now I'm going to test it using all the mods I installed. I hope this won't be a bad result.
  3. Okay so... I guess I'll install FWE and report back if it's caused any problems from a new game. Should I then try to avoid mods made after 2010 Nov? Edit 1: I downloaded and installed Mod Organizer 1.2.14, and it seems I already had Mod Organizer installed from when I tried my hand at modding skyrim. Now it's filled with skyrim mods. How do I clear it out? Edit 2: I installed FOSE and FWE and managed to get past the alternate start shack to where it dropped me after choosing my history. So...horray I guess. First mod installed and working (so far). Edit 3: I forgot to add this mod into my list. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/6341/? Can I add the DLC's from that seperate folder you told me to make now? Sorry if I'm asking questions about stuff you've already covered, but...to be honest, I don't always follow what you're saying because your english isn't perfect.
  4. Well typically when I unzip a folder, I always go into the data folder when in the 7-zip viewer and pull the files from inside there to wherever I want them, rather than unzipping. Is that acceptable?
  5. I don't really know what mods I've chosen that would change the values set by FWE, but what kinds of problems can I expect if I were to install it twice? How do you mean vintage, and what problems if any can I expect to run into using your vintage method?
  6. It's not letting me post the image, it says the file was too big to upload. It's only 2.92 mb though... *reads the file size requirements* you've gotta be kidding... Edit: found an image hosting site. Hope this will work and will be what you wanted. http://i57.tinypic.com/zklv2o.jpg
  7. Wait so...move the data folder out of the zip to the desktop, and then take the information out of the data folder and rezip it all into one zip? So that if I were to open the zip, it would show the data that was within the data folder, not the data folder itself? what's a sun folder?
  8. Well, I've got a pretty good PC, so I like to have as much graphical enhancements as possible. I feel like a majority of the textures and models you could just skip over, as they shouldn't effect things too much and even if there's collisions, I can just overwrite one or the other without it causing too much problems. I mean...you don't have to do this if you don't want to.
  9. Alright, so to start, I've got these from the Models and Textures category of the Nexus. Animations Buildings Follower mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/867/? Gameplay effects and changes guilds/factions Miscellaneous New Lands NPCs Music http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/14946/? GNR Enhanced. User Interfaces http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/43/? http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19226/? I'm not certain, but I think that's everything I want. Any issues? Sorry for giving you so much to sift through, especially in the models and textures section. Any suggestions on other mods I might not have looked at?
  10. Alright, what I plan on doing is going through the mods and picking what I want, and other than texure change mods which I imagine won't screw with the game too badly, I'll post what I want here and you tell me if there's any special requirements or if they're not something I can use together or at all. Is that alright?
  11. Okay, I'm out of the vault. Do you still want me to travel out to the school area, or do you think we've tested enough?
  12. We've gotten rid of the delays and gotten to the name entry screen! The errors might be fixed and I might actually get to the childhood section! I'll keep going, wish me luck and I'll report back whether I get to the "Escape!" section of the game.
  13. It's installed in E:\Games\Fallout 3.
  14. When I try to run the microsoft live thing, it installs, and when when I try and run it it says "Connection error, can't start the program. there might be a problem with your internet connection or the LIVE service." The fact I'm sending a message now should show there's no problem with my internet connection. In any case, I'll try running Fallout 3 now. ... ... Well...we've gone backwards. Now I get the birth scene and it freezes before the first words are uttered.
  15. Okay, so first I installed just disk one of my two disk set, then I installed Justin's "Steam" .exe from that one fake replacer page you asked me to, and now I've installed the 1.7 update. Do I need to reinstall Justin's Steam replacer on top of that 1.7 update? Or should I finally try running fallout 3 and see if we've gotten any headway?
