  3. That's so funny to hear because I've had really positive results with them in previous games. Is it possible that you are universalising a negative experience that you've had?
  4. Save games get filled up with loose references and become unusable. Apparently starting NG+ fixes this, but I'm in no position to try even if I wanted to do that. Currently I can't save. We've had utilities for previous Bethesda games that could clean up the broken bits in save files and solve issues like this. Is there anything in anyone's pipeline along similar lines here?

I'm not sure where the absolute certainty comes from that we will never want the option to drive a vehicle in first person, but Bethesda seem to have fallen into the same trap as many other game developers. The constant quest to find new ways to shove us out of 1st person if that's our preferred play style is starting to drag a bit! Workbenches, Ladders, Chairs, and now this! Is there anyone who can fix any of these?

Yes, that's literally all any of the previous mods have been. they exist for Oblivion and Skyrim and Fallout 3 expressly because they just used the 3rd person models and animations. Nobody is suggesting completely re-animating the entire game. This is something that has been achieved before.

Hi All, What do we think the chances are of someone being able to make the player's body visible in 1st person, like the Enhanced 1st Person/joy of Perspective type mods for Oblivion/skyrim/fallout3 etc? Also, while we're at it, something to keep the camera in 1st person when sitting down or stepping up to a workbench?

  13. Completely broken feature. Tried it out today and this absolute disaster ensued: It insisted on redownloading SFSE and Plugins.txt enabler, causing conflicts with my existing installs of those. It reordered all my mods alphabetically so my load order is ruined and the game won't start. It switched itself off when I came back to it after fixing the SFSE and Plugins enable conflicts. Switching it back on required redownloading the two utilities again, bringing back the conflict i had just fixed. Went back to mods list and completely removed SFSE etc. Went back, it was off, turned it back on, reinstalled the utilities, not conflict because I had got rid of them completely Load order still ruined can't run game. Repeat several times. Still can't actually play. Can't even use the feature to fix my load order as it needs a full reinstall of SFSE and PTE every time i look away for thirty seconds. Help?

  15. So, we have a mod that lets you take off and land in first person (cockpit) view, and a mod that lets you have conversations without any forced camera lurching, so the techniques are known. Could there be a mod that keeps you in first person view for the sequences where you get into the cockpit, sit on a chair, climb a ladder, or start using a workbench? I already have the mod that speeds these up, but they're still immersion breaking. A decent placeholder alternative until more mod tools become available would be to remove them all (probably except the ladder one) entirely, as even a jump cut would be more immersive than suddnely watching yourself do things when you've been seeing through your own eyes the rest of the time. I have no idea why Bethesda decided it would be a good idea to go to the effort of forcing people out of their preferred view!

  17. Title says it all, really. When I draw my weapon, the animation plays twice. I had the same problem years ago in original Skyrim, and i remember that the fix was comically simple, I just can't remember what it was!
