This is my Sanctuary Hills Tower Build and includes the culmination of all of the mods I'm using so far. This has a LOT of work in it so let me know if you like it and want to know any of my methods or mods I'm using to make this. Thanks! The build isn't finished but this is lot of completed work. I'm gonna try to mod the shotgun so the firing sound is just a hilarious cartoony face-punching sound. -
Pump and Lever Action Rifles & Shotguns?
BurnableAddress replied to BurnableAddress's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
I stand corrected, going back and looking at the bullet count reload systems, it has no bug reports, a lot of really excellent comments, I will be re-visiting this mod this evening. Any idea of a few shotguns that implement this I could try out! Thanks guys, you are life-savers. If this does work well man this is going to make using shotguns sooooooooo much fun! EDIT: Nevermind I checked requirements for the mod and the Ithica is exactly what I am looking for. -

I tried this and it doesn't work unfortunately. I also am pretty certain the author has specified that the mod doesn't work. Have you tried this and gotten it to work? -

Pump and Lever Action Rifles & Shotguns?

Thanks for the response :) I like it. -
This is just some of my ideas about where Fallout4 went wrong, what it could have been, and more about what Fallout76 should have included: Fallout 4's scrap and build system is just fine with some additional mods included like many of the mods that add more of a selection of building pieces to menus, and the mod that removes build height distance. I think much of the magic of 4 versus 3 is that you can truly tear down and re-build your game environment under these circumstances. It's all about the control and about the player getting to have as much of it as possible. Fallout 4's weapon system - Let's face it, pipe weapons are basically useless apart from being providers of some scrap material. On the other side of that, mods like Modern Firearms are quintessential to this game and this universe. One thing I like about Modern Firearms is that there is real danger to the player. With a lot of those weapons, if you are shot once in the face you basically die, so you have to actually take cover in a firefight instead of, 'oh as long as I'm not shot 1079 times I will survive this'. With Fallout76 one of the major issues it seemed to me was that there wasn't a large enough pool of weapons to find out in the world. Hunting rifle, machine gun, bat, tire iron, axe.......... uh, ok, where is anything else? Modern Firearms adds tons upon tons of different pistols and rifles and heavy weapons and machine guns to the game. Suddenly you are mistaking Fallout4 for Borderlands 3. Fallout4 Meets TheSims? One thing I think many people don't enjoy about Fallout 4 is the Minutemen quest line that essentially makes Fallout4 suddenly a lot like TheSims in that you suddenly are having to manage more than a dozen settlements and all of the needs that come with. In small doses this can be appealing I think, but over time and with the increasing number of settlements to manage I think it can become overwhelming especially when there is a danger of losing control of a settlement if you fail to properly defend it. I also don't like that no matter how many defenses you build, it seems that regardless you still have to show up to settlement defense events or they will eventually automatically fail. If Fallout 4 would have been made with the settlement management quest-line completely removed, I have to wonder if Fallout 4 as a whole would have been better for it. Navmeshing and AI: Yes, the dreaded Fallout 4 navmeshing. Even when you don't alter the vanilla environment of Fallout 4, the AI and Navmeshing in the Fallout 4 world seems like it should have been much better than it is, because it its current state it mostly sucks. I dream of a Fallout 4 where the assignment of settlers will prompt them to run straight and true to their assignment. Instead Fallout 4 suffers from settlers not being able to go through many doors, up stairs, randomly dropping out of their assigned tasks for no reason, ending up on rooftops, in walls, in the ground of all things, randomly appearing outside of where they are supposed to be standing (like when assigned to basically any vendor stall anywhere, and then of course you have modded environments which comes with its own slew of problems. Fallout4 Re-Made? I think Fallout4 currently comes down to the question of whether or not it should be re-made similarly to how Skyrim was re-made with the Special Edition. Sadly, Fallout76 SHOULD have been the outcome of everything Bethesda had learned from Fallout4 and instead had an arguably worse launch than the worst parts of Fallout4, which, to me, suggests that they did 0000 research using Fallout4 before the creation of Fallout76 for this reason: ??????????????? There was literally no reason Fallout76 shouldn't have been fantastic and yet it was terrible. In a perfect world, with the right vision and management, Fallout4 still has the potential to be everything that it should have been from the start. MORE TO COME

Scopes and Zoom Adjustments
BurnableAddress replied to BurnableAddress's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
True. I unfortunately have no idea how to use that and have even tried before, but couldn't figure out how to stumble my way through to the effect I was hoping for. Without some specific instructions on how to do this, much like a registry edit I'd have no idea where to start looking. -
So, in light of the many pump-action shotgun mods that have never worked for the actual reload shell count, I have a question about that. Because, I know there have even been attempts to make a mod that fixes this for all weapons, but, well, here it is. Why haven't any box-mags been applied to any of these!? The appeal with the pump-action shotguns was the fact that there was actually a pump animation with each pull of the trigger, and the issue was always that the amount of re-loads was never equal to the the bullets fired. So why not compromise and make a pump-action or lever-action rifle that simply has a box-mag and animation for one. One of these existed in Fallout 3 (although it didn't have a pump-action animation) but all I can say is that I really really really really really would love to have a pump or lever action that simply removes the entire problem with these: the reload.

Clear Glass Panels Mod?

Thanks guys! I do remember that there was some mod somewhere that gave very seamless nearly completely invisible glass panels but I won't complain with these! I appreciate the response! -
Fallout 3's Box Mag Shotgun to Fallout 4. \\
BurnableAddress replied to PrincessAmysDragons's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Ideas
Wait, I was hoping for this to get moved over too. That mod was the best. And Why should that be in the Fallout 4 forums when the original mod is from Fallout 3? -
Anyone know of a way to adjust scope zoom distance either on modded or default scopes? I don't mean the effective distance or the range of the weapon but the actual visual zoom distance with a scope in the game. I know that many modded scopes on weapon mods come with adjustable zoom configurations, but there are some that do not, like the XM2010 Enhanced Sniper Rifle. I love this mod, but the USMC scope for the mod is a mid-range scope and most other snipers have a much further zoom. As far as I know there isn't any way to adjust this via FO4Edit, but i'm certainly no expert. Any info or assist you can provide would be great! Please and thank you!

It seems to me that the current state of Nexus Mods is not at the best that it has ever been. Wonderful mods like DoItYourshelf and the Modular Kitchen mod have been removed from the Nexus, and it makes me very sad to say the least. I don't think this is entirely the fault of Nexus itself but mostly comes from many of the actions of Bethesda. Even still, I remember a time when Nexus Mods was better than it currently is. But to the point of this post, I wish there was a modular means for the use of mods. What I mean is: I often find a single feature of a mod that is great while several other parts of the mod are useless to me. Example: There was recently a wooden floor mod I found that provides quarter pieces of worn looking wood flooring that allows the flooring to be stacked one piece directly on top of another. This is a FANTASTIC feature because it allows for very precise tweaking of the height of your floors, and makes it possible to overlay other vanilla wooden floors on top of pieces that wouldn't normally allow you to precisely snap a floor piece there, like on top of most roofing pieces. So, I wish there was a way that we could find a single great feature out of a mod like this and either use them by themselves or combine them into one large single file, like a modular favorites mod. I know that there are ways to do this by extracting ESPs and combining files but tbh I don't even know how to do this with individual ESPs and I know that it is rather complicated.

!For the PC! Please help if you can and thanks! I am trying to remember/find which mod offers the perfectly clear glass wall and floor panels, like with no edges or anything, just essentially a very see-through single piece of very clear glass. I'm hoping that somewhere this mod still exists / is obtainable and someone remembers which mod this is a part of. I have a tower build I'm working on and these pieces would be very very nice to have. If you have an idea how to get this on or off Nexus mods either way I would very much appreciate it!

Vault Suit in Extreme Sexy Body Mod
BurnableAddress replied to BurnableAddress's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Thanks for the responses! -
Hello, I'm trying to use Extreme Sexy Body https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/33049?tab=posts But installing this mod and using it doesn't at all give you the same effect as seen in the mod page's pictures. So, I'm doing my best to find more information about this and what mods are used in then images for this mod. It appears to be an essentially skin tight Vault 111 suit, but I have Google searched and searched Nexus Mods and I can't find anything that gives that effect.

Is there still an existing and up to date guide on how to properly have your Fallout4Custom.ini properly configured for modding? Thanks!
