  1. haha you would want to play with my Fallout 4 because I'm basically in the 45-55 most of the time. As I prioritize graphics down until I got less than 45 fps. If I turn off my ENB my FPS would be a lot higher but at the same time they would fluctuate much more... This game doesn't work that great with ryzen and I am cpu bottleneck too often The ENB kind of stabilize my FPS by removing the CPU bottleneck which makes the responsive experience much more even. But I am wondering, do you play with or without VSync ? (ipresentinterval=1 or 0) Windowed or Fullscreen? Any ini tweak such as iFPSClamp ?
  2. I have never complained about godrays being pixelated or because of the performance hit I even have the Liquid Cooled vega version and easily runs at 1700+ Mhz core and 1140 memory. The workaround to disable the godrays is to add sStartingConsoleCommand=gr off to your Fallout4.ini I acutally use it for my fov and godray settings "sStartingConsoleCommand=cl rim 0.0025;gr maxcascade 1;gr grid 18;gr scale 2;fov 95 110" I have found many other videos and screenshots from other people, where I could notice they have the exact same issue so I think this game issue. Let me show you some examples that are not from myself : here you can clearly see the sun is actually much lower than his GodRays.... It is not obvious because the sky is very bright but they are completly misaligned. again here, the author is just comparing godrays quality but actually the real sun is at the upper right and not behind the godrays. This picture from this mod : https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/3154 (FO4 Sun) Again the godrays are bottom left and the sun is upper right. I have also found this post on enbdev.com http://enbseries.enbdev.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=4726&sid=d3de707c55e5aec13012a764a960a15b Which says : This is not an error caused by the ENB, I'm posting here to see if by chance Boris would know how to fix this using the ENB or some other forum user knows how to fix. The problem is that the "point of origin" of godrays is not the sun, it becomes more evident if the flare effect is on (creating "two suns", one discreet that is the source of godrays and the other being the "true" sun that the flare highlights). And stranger still, with the passage of time its become clear that the point of origin of godrays is fixed in the sky when it should follow the sun, for example godrays never appear from the noon position or sunrise position (coming out of the horizon). For comparison notice that in Skyrim the ENB does this correctly, godrays always originate from the point where the sun is at the moment. I initially thought it was a bug caused by SLI or even by the ENB, but the vanilla game shows this same problem with SLI and the ENB off. Anyone else noticed the same thing? This is someone complaining about the very same issue with Nvidia GPU so it has nothing to do with AMD god rays are just very poorly implemented and is at the same time quite a bit of a performance hog. Now I'm convinced that it is a general issues and that the vast majority of people don't even notice. Why it is very clearly visible on my screenshot is because of FO4 Sun (which I remloved to go back to default Sun texture) which make the sun much smaller and less bright but thus it makes the problem much more noticeable this is why I gave up with that mod.
  3. Well... even after a clean reinstall of windows 10 and a clean reinstall of steam and Fallout 4... The issue still persists, even with a 16/9 resolution. It doesn't make sense, I'm starting to believe it's a common issue that no one notice. My workout of the problem : either remove the sun textures and lensflare, or disable god rays. I'm going to try with an nvidia card... since this is a nvidia implementation that doesn't work that good and is heavy on performance. Maybe it works even worse on AMD although I never had to complain on pixelation issues. Skyrim ENBs do it way better.
  4. Not sure about what you meant here, but yes the sun uses his own textures such as Lens Flares, sun glares etc. And they are visible here the only issue is that God Rays are not coming from the sun in my game which is odd... I'm even considering to replace sun textures with blank textures, to remove it, and keep only the god rays and volumetric light.
  5. First post updated that better shows the issue...
  6. Thanks for you answer, so it doesn't come from my GPU or drivers etc I've actually even tried to run the game without any mods... after an integrity check from steam... removed my inis and let the game regenerate them, started a new game... While the godrays seem to look better, they are still misaligned with the sun... X_x I'm going to provide better pictures... but I'm getting hopeless. I've even tried to run the game in 2560x1440 instead of 3440x1440, but the issue was still here... What I'm going to try again though : delete inis... integrity check... and then start a new game 100% vanilla in 2560x1440... I'm not even trying 3440x1440 I guess I'll have to play without godrays... I'm a bit hopeless :D Maybe I should try to full re-install but my internet is slow... I've already skipped the absurdly massive HD DLC...
  7. Hi, I don't know what happens to my godrays in game but to me they do not look as they should... Sometimes they are even completely misaligned with the sun... Like if they were 10° beneath the sun. What do you think ? Other examples Thing to note since this is a nvidia implementation of god rays... I have an AMD RX Vega64 with the lastest drivers. 8. I'm 639 oh and by the way, nexusmods the best modding website !
  9. ^ That's what I was thinking, but I needed confirmations Thanks for your replies =)
  10. Hi there, I was wondering something about the Skyrim's INIs, something very simple actually... Is the order of the variables important ? Because I'm tweaking some settings like the shadows through the INIs and with the ENB to suits my liking. And to make it simpler to tweak I've moved some variables to gather the shadow settings This is what it now looks like : [Display] iBlurDeferredShadowMask=30 fInteriorShadowDistance=4000.0000 fShadowDistance=12000 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=2048 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowSplitCount=2 iShadowMode=3 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bDrawShadows=1 bShadowsOnGrass=1 bShadowMaskZPrepass=0 iShadowMapResolution=4096 fShadowBiasScale=0.15 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 ; fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000 fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000 fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=1e+007 fDecalLOD2=1500.0000 fDecalLOD1=1000.0000 fSpecularLODStartFade=2000 fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000 fLightLODStartFade=3500 iTexMipMapMinimum=0 iTexMipMapSkip=0 fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000 fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=1e+007 fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=1e+007 bMainZPrepass=0 iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=25 iMaxDecalsPerFrame=100 ; bFull Screen=1 fGamma=1.0000 iSize H=1080 iSize W=2560 iMaxAnisotropy=0 iWaterMultiSamples=0 iMultiSample=0 sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN" bFXAAEnabled=0 iAdapter=0 iPresentInterval=0 iScreenShotIndex=2 While normal ini's should look like that : [Display] iBlurDeferredShadowMask=30 fInteriorShadowDistance=4000.0000 fShadowDistance=12000.0000 iShadowMapResolutionSecondary=2048 iShadowMapResolutionPrimary=4096 iShadowSplitCount=2 iMaxAnisotropy=0 fLeafAnimDampenDistEnd=4600.0000 fLeafAnimDampenDistStart=3600.0000 iTexMipMapMinimum=4 iTexMipMapSkip=0 fGamma=1.0000 iShadowFilter=4 fDecalLOD2=1500.0000 fDecalLOD1=1000.0000 fDecalLODFadeEnd=0.2100 fDecalLODFadeStart=0.3100 iActorShadowCountInt=6 iActorShadowCountExt=6 fSpecularLODStartFade=1000.0000 fShadowLODStartFade=200.0000 fLightLODStartFade=2500.0000 bTransparencyMultisampling=0 iWaterMultiSamples=0 iMultiSample=0 iShadowMode=4 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bDrawShadows=1 bDeferredShadows=1 bFull Screen=1 iSize H=1080 iSize W=2560 fMeshLODFadePercentDefault=1.2000 fMeshLODFadeBoundDefault=256.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeTreeDistance=2048.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeTreeDistance=2844.0000 fMeshLODLevel2FadeDist=9999999.0000 fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=9999999.0000 fTreesMidLODSwitchDist=100000.0000 bShadowMaskZPrepass=0 bMainZPrepass=0 iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame=25 iMaxDecalsPerFrame=100 sD3DDevice="NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN" bFXAAEnabled=0 iShadowMapResolution=4096 fShadowBiasScale=0.1500 iShadowMaskQuarter=4 bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 iScreenShotIndex=0 iAdapter=0 ipresentinterval=1 bShadowsOnGrass=1
  11. In response to post #22527459. #22528159 is also a reply to the same post. Maybe both FO4 or TES VI will be announced ! I can't wait to see how these games will look since they will be made for PS4/X1 as well... PS3/X360 have bottlenecked the possibilities for skyrim... And yet when we see what modders have achieved it's incredible... And I hope it is a bit less buggy too... so we don't need to do memory patches... I hope it will be a directx 12 game too.
  12. Hi, I found that topic : Crysis 3 vs Skyrim The guys thinks Skyrim looks better than Crysis 3, well I don't care about which looks better, but I care about the screenshot he linked ! They look gorgious and I didn't manage to get the same quality even with a 35Gb skyrim folder + ENBs (well my game looks very good too) Some example : http://i.imgur.com/1qO8vh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/InYzGh.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9w2yBh.jpg Have a look to the rest : http://imgur.com/a/CT8ZX So, in my opinion there's Skyrim Flora Overhaul, textures pack obviously, a grass densifier mod and an ENB (I have no idea about Climate of Tamriel, since I have never used it... my enb was designed without.) In fact, I'm particularly interested in the ENB, it reminds me K ENB (especially the K ENB Extensive which is AWESOME) but it remains a bit different, more realistic tha K ENB.) Any ideas ?
  13. GPU can generally get hot, 60°C is nothing to worry about, it's rather a good temp I'd say. Just try to keep it under 90°C lol. With Skyrim, my eVGA GTX 670 (OC @ 1202) often reach 74, 75°C while with other games... it's always under 70°C but just like you I have modded my skyrim, with tons of textures/meshes replacement and ENBs + more grass. Actually, I am more concerned about my graphic card's VRM temperature, they can get very hot, even hotter than the GPU, but there's no monitoring for them most of them most of the time.
  14. Sorry double post bug.... Can someone delete this ? Original thread : http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1014522-honeystrand-cave-ctd-small-log/
  15. Hi ! After vainly trying to understand that CTD when entering honeystrand cave, I came here, hopefully I will get some hint! My skyrim game : So, my save game is quite recent, I've spent about 6h30 on it. My mod list is not that small... I currently have 80 esp, I've carefully chose them all, in order to get the maximum compatibility and to avoid CTDs ! Most of them are scripts free.. I haven't added any quests or locations to my game, only one armor mod and one weapon mod. (tribunal robe + warrior within swords.) I've spent a lot of time of it to determine which mod to use which are safes etc etc. (basically I've set my speedmult to 1000 and travel as much as I can especially in sensitive location which used to CTDed before.) I have every DLC, my game is up to date, SKSE is up to date to. I use NMM, BOSS (+some load order rules) and Wrye Bash. I used TES5EDIT to clean every mods except requiem (because I had noticed issues when cleaning requiem optional ESP) I use a huge overhaul, which is Requiem. I didn't create merged patch, only leveled list. I've started my game and played about 3 hours with the lowest mod list possible. (Requiem of course ! + Graphical mod (texture, meshes, ENB) + CBBE, SGHairPack, some eyes pack, skins etc etc.) And only then, I've carefully added mod, one by one, each time testing them a bit in sensitive locations etc. (well obviously I forgot this cursed cave...) My mod list : Description of the CTD : I cannot enter honeystrand cave as we would normally do, it keeps loading forever, it's bugged, but no CTD. So I can only do coc honeystrandgrove01, which bring me inside, but then it crashes like 3 or 4 second after, just when bears try to attack me. Papyrus log : Thanks in advance! edit : I'm sorry I guess my post isn't in the correct section, skyrim mod troubleshooting could be more appropriated...
  16. Thank you both for explaination and point of view, I've at first though it was not a good modification in comparison to oblivion, but it's become maybe more interesting.
  17. Hi, I have been playing skyrim few hours. I've been quite used to Oblivion, and I'm really surprised that my character is able to cast apprentice spell of alteration :o My caracter is only 16 of alteration and can cast the rock body spell which cost me 170 of magicka. (not sure about the translation of the spell.) But I have 190 of magicka and it can cover the amount of magicka required for this spell.
