stupid question regarding win7
DreadwizardDM replied to DreadwizardDM's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Thanks folks, much appreciated. -
Stupid and quick question. I switched from Vista to win 7 ultimate and want to install the game. I know that a normal default would go to the (x86) prog files dir.. but I want to use mods obviously so I would like to install to a non GWFL related directory. Can I just install it to C:\Fallout3 ?? Obviously this might cause it to try and treat is as an x64 based program.. but perhaps I can tell it manually to run as 32 bit? Thanks.

Mod / body request(s) from me and the Mrs.
DreadwizardDM replied to DreadwizardDM's topic in Dragon Age: Origins's Mod Ideas
Thanks for the info, btw this is "mr dread" lmao. Anyways I have downloaded some interesting armors and installed them and they look pretty cool. My wife really liked them because they made her character far more robust if you can get my meaning. In oblivion we have every body mod there is all rolled up into one neat little bundled mod that enables the choice of what you want to use. Kind of nice actually. Anyways I guess we can only wait for more mods to become available for this game. Hasnt really been out long enough for there to be a ton of mods. @ Abisha: the reason we want that size was explained. One of the pics you see here is actually of my wife. The other is some woman bodybuilder I found online as an example for a female warrior. PS: To who identified the bodybuilder woman.. thanks :) was wondering who that was. She is pretty for a bodybuilder. Granted I am glad my wife doesnt have muscles like that .. she is already strong enough lol. -
Mod / body request(s) from me and the Mrs.

Hello modders, this is "Dread Sorceress". I just got home from work and am pleased to see your repiles. I have downloaded some armor mods to make my Noble lady of dragon age have a more curvacious top. I also began to try using the toolset to try and at least make my character taller but it was like trying to learn Greek in a day! I am 5' 11" , yes I know I am tall for a woman lol. Here I thought being able to paint my nails in game would have been easy, wow was I ever wrong. I think I will stick to being an accountant lol. Both me and my hubby look forward to any new mods / body meshes that can handle our requests. God bless and have a nice day :thanks: -

Thanks for the reply, we actually have two computers we play on so playing at the same time is no problem. We looked at the mods you directed us too and I was impressed. However I still cannot find a decent looking woman bodybuilder type. Also my wife is kind of giggling because she is alot more topheavy than that. (Her words) lol. **BREAK** Hello this is Mrs "Dread" I guess you can call me "Dreadette" LOL! Anyways here is a picture of me so modders can get an idea of what I am looking for to try and create a character of myself in the game. I am queen of my castle so why not be queen in my game of dragon age? :) http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j245/dmwfalco814/busty.jpg -
Hello folks, I have a mod request from me and the wife. We both love to play this game and here are our requests. 1. From the wife: Can anyone make some ladies with large bossoms? I want to make a creation of myself and have overly feminine curves upstairs lol. Here is an example I found on the internet. http://www.scandalist.com/files/2008/07/sh...rshey-boobs.jpg Thats similiar to my shape. Request number two from the lady of the house: Can someone make a mod where you can get your nails done? Why no nail polish in game for my fingers and toes?? Request from the Hubby: I always Imagined certain fantasy warrior women to be big and muscular. Can anyone make a mod where the woman is built like this? http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d23/coco...e_very_sexy.jpg All the links are rated PG and contain no nudity. Although neither of us object to nudity in the games we play, both on the PC and in real life :thanks:

Im with ya on the FOSE puzzle, I must have read the FOSE webpage 4 times now and its a tough one to understand. Wish there was a few video tutorials on using FOSE ... and GECK! As for your question, being someone who has had to uninstall / reinstall tons of times I would reccomend after you do a clean install to load in 1. FOSE (place directly into your fallout main directory..not data).. I "think" you just toss in the DLL files and the FOSE launcher and use it as a shortcut. 2. Isnatall GWFL Disabler so it moves all your DLC to your fallout3 folder. 3. Archive Invalidation Invalidated 4. FOMM After you have that basic setup I would just try copying / pasting Meshes, Textures, Sound, and the ESM's and ESP's into the data folder and cross your fingers. Im not really an authority on this but it seems to make sense.

Just curious if there are any video tutorials floating around that teach how to start modding? Would be really cool to have, folks would learn to do basic mods, customize their game a little and it would probably help folks out with troubleshooting (just from having an understanding of modding). Maybe some of the top guns around here could post some on youtube or wherever if they have free time?

Red triangle problem, not sure how to fix.
DreadwizardDM replied to DreadwizardDM's topic in Fallout 3's Mod Troubleshooting
Thank you for the tips, I never thought of removing their armors one by one. Sadly I ended up totally removing the whole game and reinstalling it and the mods one by one. have not had problems as of yet (crossing fingers). I had a feeling it was from a missing mesh though but did not know how to solve it. Your plan of attacking the problem is a good one. I use FOMM, Arcive invalidation invalidated, GWFL Disabler, and FOSE... however I cannot seem to grasp FOSE very well. The only thing I do is toss the DLL's and the FOSE application file into my game folder and thats about it. I have heard that there is some other stuff I am supposed to do but havent quite learned it yet... going to do some youtubing to see if I can find a vid tutorial. :thanks: -
So I have this big red triangle with a white arrow inside of it appearing over the heads of various things. Seems to be raiders mostly or other monsters, I have alot of mods installed and have no idea how to get rid of the problem. Sadly the only thing I can think of is to uninstall EVERYTHING including the game and reinstalling everything all over again... arghh... this problem is making me crazy. Can anyone help me?? Is there a way to determine what mod is causing this, or if im simply missing a mesh or any possible way to tracj down what is causing this triangle thing?? heeeellllllpppppp..... :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my post. I love mods! Problem is that I might have had some conflicting ones that crashed me, so I uninstalled and just reinstalled. Here is my system specs and plan of attack.. please let me know what you think and feel free to advise me. SPECS:Operating System: Windows Vista™ Ultimate (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 BIOS Date: 05/19/09 12:44:57 Ver: 08.00.15 Processor: Intel® Core i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.1GHz Memory: 3062MB RAM (note on RAM I actually have 6 gigs of DDR3 tri channel) Page File: 1033MB used, 5314MB available DirectX Version: DirectX 10 DX Setup Parameters: Not found DxDiag Version: 6.00.6001.18000 32bit Unicode SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio ATI Radeon HD 4890 1gig GDDR5 Game= Fallout 3 and Pitt and Operation Achorage. Sorry for Wall of Text Plan of attack: 1. Install into non default directory C:\Fallout3 ((off the retail DVD)) 2. Install Pitt and Anchorage (off retail dvd)) 3. Install any official update patches. 4. Install Archive Invalidation Invalidated 5. Install FOMM 6. "try to install FOSE".. I am having trouble understanding the script extender use. I did not have it installed before and after a few dozen extra mods today the game wouldnt load. 7. Install the automated Mod Load Order utility with XML export to FOMM. 8. Install the Games for Windows Live "KILL" tool.. dont know if I will need to do this because I installed to non default location and have FOMM. Now some questions.. 1. I assume you can only have ONE type of a body mesh in the game for a given gender? 2. Do I avoid clothing / armors that say to use a specific body mesh if im using a different one? 3. Do I really need FOSE? if so should I be launching from a shortcut to FOSE or use FOMM to launch the game? 4. How can I tell what mods are actually conflicting short of removing them all and manually installing them one at a time? 5. When it prompts to overwrite a non vanilla file should I do it?? or just leave well enough alone? Thank you in advance for any advice or tips you can give me.. especially in regards to FOSE. I will try and post my mod list of what I would like to use later. THANKS!!! :thanks:
