Tribes Ascend is a relatively new free to play first person shooter which has just exited the open beta and has now been fully released which is really in my opinion one of the first innovative fps games we've seen in a long time for PC gaming. The main outstanding differences I can see with this game is the fast-paced skiing mechanic which definatley makes for an addictingly-fun fast-paced style of gaming for the old school gamers out there. The game is beautifully balanced around the classes and there really is no class type which beats all. Another interesting mechanic is that in the capture the flag gametype both teams have a generator on every map which power up the base's defence, the turrets, radar and also any player-deployed shields / smaller versions of turrets. It's a pretty big element to the game type which can tip the balance if left unguarded. Sad to say there's no luck! :( Still having fairly frequent CTD's.

No idea why....I believe most of the time it happens in combat, my load order is fine according to Wyre Smash / Bash but...anyway! Here are the mods I am currently using. Sounds very ambitious if you ask me and it would take a lot of work considering a full scale overhaul! Maybe also include the lore from the books too if you ran out of things to add, they have so much pre-LoTR film lore. :)

"Creation Kit - Beginning in January, PC players will be able to download for free the same development tools we used at Bethesda Game Studios to create Skyrim. In tandem with the Creation Kit’s release, we will roll out a new Wiki and videos to help you get started. It also features something we think you’re going to love…" I'm an impatient bugger but that sounds like they may release it today....thoughts? :thumbsup:

Such a shame the OP was banned! I was looking really forward to this, it had great potential from the looks of things :/

It's a huge task but I'd just like to put the idea out there, do people like the idea of an overhaul of Skyrim to a semi-historically accurate setting in say Scandinavia or Britain with the Anglo-Saxons and all that....to be honest I haven't given it much thought but it's something I'd be deeply interested in as a mod and just like to see what other peoples take would be on it also. My second idea for an overhaul of Skyrim is Lord of the Rings. Both of these would be huge amounts of work but if any modder/group of modders out there like the idea when the creation kit comes out then it'd be amazing if you could make it :D. I'm most likely getting my hopes up here but again I'm just putting the idea out there.

Yeah, I await the same thing. I am finishing some 3D models in 3DSMax for a Castle that I want to construct in the CK for my personal use. Who knows, I might even share it. Renders coming up soon. Sounds good to me, I'll keep an eye out if you share it (:

They better release it soon, I'm almost as excited for the mods as I was for Skyrim :)

I don't mean as in fallen out with, but straight after the marriage with the (I think?) Aela, the companion huntress person I exited the door and she had gone! Anyone know how I can find her please? I've checked everywhere, didn't have a house at the time by the way.
