Sorry, I got a bit distracted by work and another mashup I was doing for myself, where I ultimately ran into a similar problem (only not quite so severe, so I sort of found a workaround for that). I'm gonna look into this one again, but I'm still mystified as to why I always lose the cloth physics for either one of the skirts :(

Any mods that allow you to move workbench?
Timesquid replied to yzerman19's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Huh, I never realised that. Thanks for pointing that out. I don't often need to move workbenches so I currently don't have Move That Workbench installed, but the one in County Crossing is horribly in my way. Curse that compulsion to build the biggest settlements in the smallest spaces  I should have added that the special object mode should be used with caution. When it's enabled, it's easy to grab something that you don't want moved (such as a vanilla wall or building)...which is I suspect is why it's disabled by default. Yeeah well as far as I remember that applies to Move that Workbench as well. I think it was possible to store the workbench in that exact same workbench. Not sure what you'd do then, except reload a previous save i guess. -

I don't think Place Anywhere lets you move the workbench? This, however, does: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7507/? -
Recruit Random Encounters to Settlements
Timesquid replied to Usiel's topic in Fallout 4's Mod Ideas
I'm looking into it, but i'm a complete noob, so i doubt I'll be able to do it :/ It looks simple enough at first glance, comparing recruitable npcs, settlers and non-recruitable npcs - add the workshopnpc faction and the workshopnpcscript with the appropriate properties, add vendor-faction, -property and - chest for the vendor npcs - i imagine that should make them function as settlers. buuuut for the actual recruiting i think i need to set up a quest and/or dialogue, and this is where i'm currently stumped. Obviously, just because i'm mucking about with it doesn't mean someone more talented/experienced shouldn't give it a go  I'll just see it ass a learning experience then. Gotta give all these people a home! -
Alright so I've got a mostly working model, craftable through the Armorsmith workbench, though I'm gonna dump the armour itself somewhere too, probably the Sanctuary Root Cellar. http://imgur.com/4ypdkpr http://imgur.com/4UlMY6G The only problem – and I think I've spent more time unsuccessfully trying to fix this than making the armour itself – is that I have some really weird, massive clipping problems. http://imgur.com/0ZlxIt4 So, if anyone who knows what they're doing reads this: I've already made the parts of the skirt that are covered by the coat invisible via Alpha channels, and I've adjusted things in Bodyslide. But it seems as if I can only have cloth physics for EITHER the coat OR the skirt, despite ticking the boxes for both when exporting (only the skirt looks way worse than only the coat). I assume that's not normal, but I have no how to fix this. I've done the mashup from scratch several times now, to no avail (not the retexturing though since that involved a lot of drawing stuff by hand and was kinda tedious, but I can't imagine the textures would be causing this). Anyone got any ideas?

I'm not promising anything because I'm a complete noob at modding and will likely fail, but I'm gonna attempt it at least. Seriously though, I did my first armour armour mashup 3 days ago and have been learning to mod for all of 2 weeks, so don't get your hopes up. It does look like a great idea though.

Noob problems with retexturing, help please
Timesquid replied to Timesquid's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
... nevermind, I figured it out. No idea how that happened, but there was something weird going on with the UV- and Normal Map Offset, or whatever it's called. Don't think II even touched that, but idk. -
Hiya, I'm a complete noob when it comes to modding, and I'''m currently trying my hand at retexturing some outfits. Following this tutorial https://youtu.be/2a_2cMLDRcI pretty much to the letter, I managed my first one relatively easily, even managed to place the finished thing in the world and make it craftable through the Armorsmith workkbench. Works perfectly, looks great. The only thing couldn't figure out was how to get the World Model to display my custom textures even though it looked right in NifSkope, but eh. Sooo I figured I'd make another one, and then it all went to s***. My textures are all over the place - I've attached a screenshot, as I don't think I can even describe this mess properly. The white bits are supposed to be the scarf, I've got a boot stuck to my thigh, you get the picture. I did everything exactly the same way as before, double-, triple- and quadruple-checked with the tutorial I wasn't forgetting anything, compared all my files from the second project to the ones from the first, but I can't find the issue. I don't think it's the textures themselves that are the problem, since I tried overwriting my .dds file with the vanilla one and the same s*** happens, just in yellow (also the photoshopping bit is the only part of the process where I know what I'm doing, since I also use Photoshop extensively as part of my job). I'm sure the it's something to do with the mesh, or the path leading to the textures, or something - but I've checked and even redone everything a million times already, and I'm kinda out of ideas. I've also tried the second outfit both as another entry in my first .esp and as its own - unsurprisingly this doesn't make any difference either. ust thought I'd mention it. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: forgot to mention, it seems to affect the normal and/or specular maps as well, I've also noticed the shape of the scarf embossed on my back.

Random enemies/War of the Commonwealth?
Timesquid replied to Timesquid's topic in Fallout 4's Discussion
Sounds like nothing much has changed since I last played then, so that's excellent news :D I don't consider conflicts to be bugs either, that's just something I need to sort out at my end (which I'm admittedly not great at, but I'm learning). I've had the friendly synths (and hostile railroad :S) before, but that fortunately never caused any issues with the Kellog quest for me. I think I did set them to hostile manually and killed them all though. The only quest I ever had massive problems with and ultimately had to advance via console commands was the Memory Den one, and I'm pretty sure that had nothing to do with WotC. Anyway, thank you both for your replies, and I'm really glad I won't have to go without ridiculous amounts of different enemies all fighting each other around every corner :D Raelly livens things up. -
Hiya, I've been away from FO4 for a few months and am currently scouting out mods for another playthrough. In the past, one of my must-haves has always been War of the Commonwealth - I have hundreds of hours on this game, and a Radscorpion-ambush fails to be an ambush when you know exactly where it's going to happen, and on Survival enemies respawn so slowly that you end up with an empty and therefore safe wasteland sooner rather than later. Unfortunately, from what I gather WotC is either dead and/or too buggy to be safely used. Is there anything else that adds an element of randomness and additional enemies? Or is WotC still viable? I'd definitely miss the utter mayhem it caused on higher settings :D

getting attacked in cities/villages for no reason
Timesquid replied to Shiroryoo's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Sorry to necro this, but I'm having the exact same problem - no bounty, not a Vampire or werewolf, haven't attacked anyone nearby (getting back from Saarthal, I was just having a conversation with Savos Aren, I exit the Arch Mage's Quarters and suddenly get attacked by half of the College. Including bloody Savos Aren, who had just calmly talked to me a second ago. Actually, come to think of it, I was also getting attacked by some NPC on my way to the College, but since it was a non-Vanilla NPC i assumed it was someone from a quest mod I hadn''t fiinished yet and it would make sense later). I'm not using OC and never have, so that can't be it.
