There is a mod that adds guard variety, but also adds pirate eyepatches. Will the save games be alright if I just remove them via TES5Edit, or do I have to also remove every instance of them being mentioned in outfits? (is there an easy way to search for that)

The problem isn't the stats of individual light sources but the way lighting from multiple sources is handled. Currently if you gather enough torches together everything around them can become pure white.

The diverse guards mod I use adds lanterns, but it looks pretty much the same if I force them to use vanilla torches (on the day picture all guards are equipped with 0001d4ec). As far as I see I don't have a mod that modifies torches.

Hello, is there a mod that prevents light intensity from light sources from stacking? With mods that make nights darker and most NPCs carrying torches it shouldn't be uncommon to see a few of them at the same place - link. The intensity is pretty unrealistic. Also you probably wont see that ever, but here is that 5 lit torches look like during the day - link. Now that's just silly.

I noticed that my laptop starts heating up immediately after I turn it on, it used to be so quiet you couldn't tell if it's working if the screen was black, now it's vrooming all the time, like, as long as it is switched on, it's hot 16 hours per day, that can't be good. It's only 1 year old and still in warranty, but I also work from it and the service isn't in my town and if I send it I usually get it back after one or two weeks because once the service guys get it they just send it to another country for repairs. I'd like to keep the warranty in case something more serious pops up. I have Power4Gear Battery saving mode, which used to help, but now does nothing. Also the laptop is always on my wooden desk. Edit: it was avast. I uninstalled it and the fans are quiet once more. And the laptop isn't hot. And the CPU is working at 2% while idle. So it was forcing my CPU to run at full capacity (3.5GHz while the official specs are 2.5) while constantly nagging me to pay for the premium version or whatever so it can optimize my computer because it's slow. Yeah, screw them.

I just noticed that I can't transform under sunlight and revert back to the basic form when stepping out of the shadows and I found nothing about it online. Could it be from the better vampires mod, the royal bloodline mod, or was it vanilla all along?

That only applies to the player though. All NPCs except those like Serana who aren't actually vampires (her race is nordrace and not nordracevampire) are still gargoyles.

I have no idea why isn't there any interest in this. Even in-game vampires looking like gargoyles doesn't make sense. Everyone is pretending Sybille Stentor looks youthful while it's glaringly obvious what she is. Not to mention the dawnguards having no idea the player is a vampire until they use the sun-rays thing. NPC dialogue confirms you can't tell a vampire apart from a living person. I have only basic knowledge of TES5Edit, isn't fixing the vampire looks as easy as finding where Dawnguard overwrites the appearance of the vampires, then copying the original overwritten stuff from Skyrim.esm and placing them after Dawnguard so they take priority?

After the battle of Bunker Hill the front door remains locked. I've read a railroad goon drops the key, but I found no key while searching in the console for "bunker hill". I've also read that the door will unlock when I destroy all he turrets, but I've already completed the quest, so the turrets are invincible, and I can't even target them via the console. Are there any console commands that can help?

If all their needs are met (a bed with a roof, food, water, defense) their happiness will be 80. So the answer is a free pet gorilla for every settler. I'm not joking, they increase happiness by 20.

I'm not saying it's slow, but these updates seem to be the only time the author indicates that he is even alive.

That github page was last updated 3 months ago. Is it still being developed or all development has stopped until Bethesda pushes modding out of beta? Did development stop completely for good?

I think they made Glory disappear in 1.5, for me Glory is not there, I finished the main story after 1.5.

I wonder if it's possible to make the clock stop or slow down to real time when you are in conversation or build mode, so you don't have to worry about your needs while an NPC goes through their life story the entire afternoon+evening. And building a settlement that fast probably isn't immersive, but since time is running 20 times faster you have to always be in a hurry. Oh, creating your character can also take a while. How does time run when you are at the surgeon? Can you die while getting your face reconfigured?

In my case I waited until the main story introduced me to the RR. Started "Shadow of steel" when I saw that "Randolph Safehouse 5" isn't starting. Turns out it's a bug according to the Nukapedia and there was nothing I could do except manually start the next quest via the console and "Randolph Safehouse 4" will remain forever hidden from my journal.

Did you manage to complete the quest chain? I might be having the same problem. I got the 4th holotape, cleared the area, stopped getting further quests, noticed that "Randolph Safehouse 4" has disappeared from my quest journal entirely, it's not in the completed quests and not in the active quests. I was doing all the railroad quests, then started the BoS while waiting for "Randolph Safehouse 5" and I still haven't got it. I also haven't completed "The Molecular Level" yet since I'm not sure how that would affect the Rairoad.

I found out that using "slm player" and then selecting body will put them into the T-pose, where they are pretty much immobile.

"ToggleFlyCam 1" that I mentioned is the same as "TFC 1".

Like "tai" (toggle AI), but for the player. I'd like to recreate a face using a picture, so the character must not move. If I pause the game via "ToggleGamePause" or "ToggleFlyCam 1" some changes don't apply until I unpause it.

I need to visit this page every time I load a game, because my follower's face doesn't fix itself. Their voice also defaults to Lydia's, so I also gotta go to the character option page to fix that. Any ideas on what could be preventing the automatic fix?

It says that this mod is intended for "experienced" to "advanced" mod users ONLY and that a working knowledge of how and why clothing and body mods work is REQUIRED and there is a change that something goes horribly wrong, but you did link to a mod that fits the things I said, though I wont be able to use it...

This mod does neither of the stuff I mentioned.

A mod that does this: makes the vanilla underwear an equipable statless item that takes its own slot and isn't visible unless the character has no body armor on;equips all NPCs of a playable race (both unique NPCs like Balgruuf and generated NPCs like bandits) with underwearI have no idea why isn't there a mod like that already, Skyrim is 4 years old.

Is there a mod that lets me know when my Rested or Well Rested or Lover's Comfort is about to expire?

Is this the place to ask if a certain mod exists? I was told that an ENB could help me with making unlit areas not pitch black after installing ELFX. So I tried T.A.Z because I heard it's really good and my performance dropped from 60fps to 20fps. OK, good ENBs are not for me. Are there any that wont impact my performance to near unplayable levels AND will make dark places visible while using ELFX? I have 6GB RAM, 2GB VRAM, and Intel® Core™ i7 4710HQ (2.5/3.5 Turbo GHz)
