  1. If this is a really stupid question, it's because I have no knowledge of modding games, or how they are made. So, would it be possible to take the longbows (the others wouldn't fit very well) from Skyrim and add it into New Vegas, or something along those lines? Because I think this is a really cool idea, and adds more to the survival aspect of the game, especially for people on hardcore. The arrows would be light, maybe a skill to make them could be added, and the arrows could (maybe) be retrievable, again for the survival aspect.
  2. I tried to change the load order, but I can't move Nevada Skies lower than 6. What could be causing this? Also, I'm opening with NVSE.
  3. I have a little over 20 mods and my game just crashes on startup. I'm wondering if conflicting mods are to blame. True Leaning Advanced Recon Thermal Nightvision Cover Based Stealth Mechanics Fellout NV Longer range weapons and realistic FOV Prone mode Realistic headshots Sprint mod Vmods suite Hotkeys rebind beta JNF portable camping equipment The Someguy series New moons over New Vegas Official Pipboy Readius New Vegas Bounties I and II The Mod Config. Menu AE-86 seiryuu beam katana Dead silence sniper rifle Fully customizable Desert Eagle M4 custom M60 General Purpose Machine Gun Shuriken NV Does anybody see anything that wouldn't work? I know my computer can play it, because I've been slowly adding mods. The first time it stopped working, I completely uninstalled and deleted all of the mods as well as New Vegas, but it still crashes.
  4. I just want to say that I have no idea how modding works, so what I'm asking may be a lot of work. Now, I think it would be cool to add some extra creep factor to the Wasteland nights by adding Slenderman, or something similar. Here are some of my ideas: It could just be a random night encounter, either doing damage or not. It doesn't really matter. When you look away an look back, it's gone. You could add a little shack or something in a random place (up around the outskirts of Vegas seems like a good area) and it will pop up when you get too close. It could just be something you see in the distance. If anyone actually goes with this idea, I would say to recommend using night/thermal vision, so they could actually see it in the distance. It would be REALLY nice to add the slightest amount of static to the night vision when you are actually looking at it. (I don't even know if that is possible) Add some dialogue to NPCs about something strange(r than usual) around the Wastes, and maybe even add a new NPC that has been driven crazy by the creature. Maybe take from the Eight Pages and add some notes to allude to the creature a little more. This isn't like some OH MAN I WANT THIS DONE!!!, but I think it would be fun and take away from some of the (admit it) monotony of the game.
  5. I got the mod that goes with the Ghogiels Storm Trooper assets (I can't remember the actual mod name). Anyway, I saw somebody say that not having the asset might be the problem, but I have the assets as well. I made sure the mod was checked off on the New Vegas startup screen and everything. I managed to get the armor to work, but that's it. All of the troopers in Darth Vader's shop are showing up, but not their weapons or Darth Vader. I read in the ReadMe file that I have to move the assets to the "Data" folder so I did, and that's how the armor worked. But, like I said, that's it. Am I missing anything? Also, I apologize if this is confusing. It's 11:00 PM and I'm staying up trying to get this to work. This is where I got the Star Wars mod http://www.mediafire.com/download/rokn1294ejex1t1/Star_Wars_Mod_1-6-39799-1-6.zip#! This is where I got the assets http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/40055/?tab=2&navtag=%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D40055&pUp=1 I am 100% positive that I put all of the files in my data folder on Fnew Vegas.
  6. I have recently started using Steam, and have discovered the greatness that is Steam sales. I'm waiting for New Vegas to go on sale so I can get my friend to buy it for me. I'm fairly sure that my computer can run it, even if not at high settings, and I was planning to do some light modding. Now, I would love to get some of the amazing graphics and textures mods, but I highly doubt my computer could handle it. I'm looking more for mods adding new weapons or weapon modifications, armor, stuff like that. But, if there are some visual mods that don't have much effect on performance, I would be interested in those. SO! What are some of your favorite mods for the great Fallout: New Vegas
