I know this one. This is because you've got all the lvl 20 cap stuff installed. UnlockLevelCurve UnlockLevelCurve_Path_5eSpells_Improvment UnlockLevelCurve_Patch_XP_NewScale You have these three mods installed. I don't know which one does it, but it is one of those three. I have the same thing in my game. And I have those three mods installed. Just those mods installed, plus 5e Spells, of course. But 5e Spells does not cause the feats at every level. So it MUST be one of those three. I am guessing it is the UnlockLevelCurve_Patch_XP_NewScale mod. There is a whole selection of them on the mod page, I would suggest making a different choice of scaling XP mods. I do not recall seeing anything about feat choices when downloading the mod. So you may have to do some trial and error to find one that doesn't add feats every level(if you are trying to get rid of it).

I don't need to defend my post.

I have looked through about 400 mods for this game. I am, by and large, unimpressed with the variety and quality of the mods. By my count, there are less than 30 mods for this game that actually add anything substantial to this game, things that actually have an impact, changing the game in a way that brings variety and replayability to the game. There are no less than ten mods that increase the settlement cap, where such a mod is not even necessary, so useless.

SkyUI saying SKSE is not working.
DanielDuncan replied to DanielDuncan's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
"Then I copied the .pex files from the Data folder into my SkyrimSe Data folder." That is where the problem was. Oops. But as usual, it is the user who is at fault, I had already suspected it was an issue with me though. -
SkyUI saying SKSE is not working.

This issue is resolved. And just in case you were wondering, the problem is very vaguely stated in my original post. If you are observant enough you will see it as clearly as I do now. Such a stupid mistake on my part, especially given all the experience I have and how many times I have done it in the past. A free cookie to anyone who can find my error. I will check back in a few days to congratulate anyone who observed my error, I even bookmarked this page so coming back will be easy. See you in a couple days. -
SkyUI saying SKSE is not working.
DanielDuncan replied to DanielDuncan's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
You are posting tot he wrong threat, clearly, because my Skyrim is not installed in X86. I clearly stated, VERY clearly stated that my installation is in a custom directory. To quote myself; "-Nothing, not Steam, not the NMM, not MO2, not anything to do with any video game is installed in a windows controlled folder, everything is installed in a custom folder on my PC, C:\Games" To be honest here, you are the exact reason why I haven't posted to the mod page itself. #nothelpful -
SkyUI saying SKSE is not working.
DanielDuncan replied to DanielDuncan's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
The problem with this is that the only place I can post is to the SkyUI page. And it seems their standard response is "if there is a problem it is with SKSE". And when the error code pops up for SkyUI, it makes it absolutely clear what the trigger of the error code is, its says it is because SKSE is not functioning. Which is odd to me because the skse_loader.exe operates just fine, int hat it boots the game, at least. The most frustrating part is that I can hop onto YouTube right now and see people playing Skyrim Special Edition with mods, including SKSE and SkyUI, just fine, with no problems at all. And I have done what they have done yet it is not working for me. However, I suppose, I will go into the archived builds of SKSE and dig up something slightly older than 2.0.7, maybe try the older 2.0.4, which is the minimum version that is listed for SkyUI as compatible. Edit: 2.0.4 is not compatible with the current build of Skyrim Special Edition itself, so I will just have to do some further investigation. Though, I am beginning to think I may have messed up somewhere, somehow, that the problem may in fact, in the end, be me. -
Error Code 1 Yeah, I got that. We should all know what this is by now, At least I do, all too well now. So, I have been tooling around with this now for two days, here is the deal. I downloaded the special edition of SKSE, SKSE64. I unzipped the archive, copied the .dlls and the .exe to my main SkyrimSE folder. Then I copied the .pex files from the Data folder into my SkyrimSe Data folder. I then created a shortcut for my destop for the SKSE loader. Lastly, I went into properties and told it to run as administrator. With me so far? Good. Now, I install SkyUI and run the game. Uh oh, Error code 1. Now what? What is going on here? I know for a fact I did this correctly. I have done it before with Skyrim(oldrim), hundreds of times. And in the last 2 days I have unistalled my skyrimSE and reinstalled it twice. I have tried this in so many different combinations. I even tried doing this all through Mod Organizer 2 and still I got nothing. I am stopping just short of declaring that SKSE is broken, but only because I know there are people who it is functioning fine for. Honestly, I wouldn't even know that SKSE wasn't functioning properly if SkyUI had not told me so. I mean, the game is launching just fine using the SKSE loader shortcut/exe. If I remove the SkyUI mod I have no evidence at all that SKSE is not working. And even then, when I am in game, despite the warning, SkyUI mostly functions, except an insane 3-5 second lag when opening inventories/chests. And by the way, just in case you are wondering, SkyUI and SKSE are the ONLY things I have going on right now and will not go any further until those two mods are working properly. Also, just to squash this before it is even brought up, the inventory is not even remotely full, we are talking about rag armor and rag shoes, and that is it, even before I pick up the dead guy's equipment. When I Google the problem I get topics on full inventory and incorrect installation of SKSE, but neither of those apply to me, as my inventory is not full and I have obviously installed SKSE correctly and run it as administrator. So, in summary: SKSE64 is installed correctly, exactly according to the instructions in the readme.txt , checked, double checked and checked again, multiple times AND I am running it as adminstrator, and I launch the game through the SKSE shortcut. -SkyUI5 is installed via the NMM AND/OR MO2 (both and both are tossing the error code 1 message). -Nothing in inventory to lag the inventory, I haven't even unlocked the door yet. -ONLY SKSE64 and SkyUI are installed, with absolutely nothing else. -Nothing, not Steam, not the NMM, not MO2, not anything to do with any video game is installed in a windows controlled folder, everything is installed in a custom folder on my PC, C:\Games -And as to my computer, well, I am running a GTX 1080 8gb, 16gb DDR4 RAM and i7 7700k and my OS is on an SSD. More than enough to crush this game, hell I can record in 4k while the game is running with no noticeable problems. So I need some help here people. Got any suggestions that have not been covered in Google searches?

Have you tried Helgen Reborn, Wyrmstooth, Falskaar, Moonpaths to Elsweyr and the Civil War Overhaul? These mods add quests, weapons, armor, new lands, player houses and are all fully voice acted and scripted very well and they are great stories and add hours and hours of play to the game. In the case of the Civil war overhaul, it basically restructures the entire civil war into an actual war.

I logged in after a fresh windows re-install. I got the pop-up window when I went to download my first mod using the NMM. I checked the box that asks if I ever want to see the window ever again to make sure that I don't ever see the window again, I don't need to give permission every single time I download a new mod using the NMM, you know, after all, I am going to download almost 200(more like 150-180) mods for Skyrim alone. Then I changed my mind about the download because I wanted to do something else first, like download and install SKSE. So I close the pop-up window and did that. I come back now and now nothing will download because I told the window to never ask me again to confirm the use of the NMM. But at the same time never began the process. Basically, I just told it to say "no" every time I wanted to download something. At the time I did not realize closing the window instead of declining would bring this result, but it in the end, that was indeed the result. I searched through my options(user settings) and cleared my Internet cache in an attempt to repair my problem. I had no such luck. After clearing my cache, I logged back in and tried again and to no avail. I also did not see any option to reset that feature in my settings for this site. I need a way to at the very least reset that box so i can make my choice again, this time more wisely. Is there anyone who can help me set this right again? As it is now, I cannot download any content from this site using the NMM. This is not good, not at all and I desperately need help. I appreciate you taking the time and thank you. Note: Do you think re-installing Google Chrome would fix this? That would be a really easy fix if you think that would work. EDIT: This has been solved. A re-install of Google Chrome reset the option and now everything is working as it should.

Thank you for the heads up.

I recently downloaded and installed the dragon stalking fix. In the comments section the uploader said to use LOOT for load order sorting. I have been lurking in the forums here for quite a while now and have searched through every mod made for this game and this is the first time I ever heard a single mention of LOOT. The LOOT(load order optimization) is not even hosted here or on steam and I am not even sure if it is to be trusted as this is the very first time I have ever heard mention of it. What are the benefits of LOOT over BOSS? Can LOOT be trusted? Is LOOT updated frequently? Do all modders partake in LOOT? Should I replace BOSS with LOOT? I have 129 mods installed and for the most part BOSS has treated my mods list very well and BOSS is updated regularly, to my knowledge it is updated regularly anyway. What is my incentive to get this application, LOOT, and replace BOSS with it? Thanks for the help guys. Edit: This is a double post due to site lag, delete one please, was not my fault.

Strange graphical anomaly, followed by a CTD

Whoa, your mod list is so huge and script intensive, it could be anything. Good luck with that. It is like the nexus had diarrhea on your game.-joke- -
Trouble downloading files through NMM today, anyone else?
DanielDuncan replied to hunterrock's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Funny, because I was under the impression that the NMM never worked right. The NMM has always been clunky. Get 5 downloads going and it crashes, every time, at least for me it does. More than half the time it fails to download even one file, it retries several times and the just fails and I have to activate it again from here. The connection I have right now is wireless broadband but the connection I had before was broadband with enough capacity I could stream live video with it and I was directly to the wall with that one and it always failed back then too. I suspect it will forever be this way(for me). Its cool though, with perseverance it still gets the job done. -
Best "New Game Only" mods.... looking for suggestions
DanielDuncan replied to Bizzquik's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
I work under the assumption that EVERY mod is "start a new game" with an exception to singular armor sets, clothing and weapon mods. I am not talking about sets though anything that alters leveled lists is "start a new game" status again. Want a surefire way to mess up a game? Install a bunch of mods mid game, that will do it. Also this will make you start a new game anyway as your old one will be broke.
