In response to post #40542075. #40542395, #40543100, #40545160 are all replies on the same post. I believe Andzz is correct and there is a time set.

Steam and Bethesda remove paid modding from Skyrim Workshop
Demonica replied to Dark0ne's topic in Site Updates
For my part I am burying the horse. I'm going to take a deep breath and stay off Nexus for 48 hours and just play the HEAVILY modded (284) and beautiful game I have going now. Then I'm going to start down my tracked mods list, all 31 pages at 20 entries per page, make sure that I previously endorsed them (I have 2,175 endorsements to my credit across Nexus but I may have missed...it happens), and if they have a donate button I am going to donate. It won't be much, I have mouths to feed and bills to pay, but at least something. My waistline can DEFINITELY miss the price of a couple of beers! My thought is $2 each, maybe more, but everyone will get the same amount whether I donated to you before or not. Then I'm going to post a personal thank you to each and every one. I don't care how simple or complex the mod is, your work enriched my game in some fashion or taught me techniques I use in my personal mods and I appreciate it. I have never published a mod and never will because I just don't have time to properly support what I would publish and that's part of the deal. Besides, why should I when there is such wonderful work out there already? Since I have no clue how many donate buttons exist for my list the donate portion of this may take a bit of time (I would like a beer occasionally!), but it will be done and you have my word on it. And this will apply to new files I start tracking as well. I love this community and I see it's battered and bruised a little and this is my way of figuratively offering a band-aid and condolence for the last few days. No discussion, no motive, freely given. I don't care what side of this you were on, what was said, etc. PLEASE DO NOT REPLY to this comment. I AM NOT looking for "15 minutes of fame". I just want us back again. Regards to All @Dark0ne - As stated above I am not looking for fame or fanfare, I personally abhor it and in real life am somewhat a private person. If for some reason, well intentioned or otherwise, this comment starts generating replies then I respectfully request that you or the moderator watching this thread remove this comment immediately. If you are so inclined, I will notify you when the mission is complete as an indicator of keeping my word. Thank you -
Greetings to All. I'm not going to get in the middle of all this. Many valid points have been made and questions asked which raise the complexities bar even higher. And I do agree with Dark0ne that it is much too soon to see how this all transpires. I just want to say to all the Modders: I have enjoyed this community to the nth degree as a self-described mod addict of 8 years. I am not lying when I say I have 1TB of mods sitting in my back pocket (so to speak) crossing several games. And I have loved and cherished each one of them in their own way. From the small and unassuming, to those that took my breath away, all of your creations have enriched a gaming experience that I never thought I would be so ridiculously hooked into. Your creativity and hard work has, and will continue to have, a lasting effect on me and I will cherish it always no matter which way this ends. You have my unconditional gratitude, thanks, and love for all that you wondrously create. Warmest Regards.

I've traveled with you these 8 long years past and watched in awe the growth and progression. Thanks for that trip and looking forward to seeing many new sights in the future journey. It has been bumpy a few times but the detours have been few and I feel like I've just merged onto the brand new expressway. As a very (I repeat VERY) addicted mod user, I cannot thank you or all the wonderful mod authors enough for the fantastic work and effort that I have enjoyed so much. Congrats and a very happy New Year to all in the Nexus world!

Starting about middle of last week, I have been having issues with the Dallas Premium server. It acts like it loads my file but when I go to the downloads folder the file shows complete with 0kb size. I changed over to the Washington server in my preferences and the downloads are normal so I don't think it's an issue of my settings, particularly since I've made no changes recently and have had no problems with the server before. Is there an issue going on with the Dallas server? Thanks and Regards Edit- Please disregard. I see now where the server was temporarily down and it's now functioning normally for me.

In response to post #18055959. Were you aware of the "Preferred Download Server" in your account preferences? When the switch was done I also experienced slower speeds although not as drastic as you mentioned. When I checked my preferences I noted that my setting in the server selection was set to USA non-premium. I changed it to Dallas Premium (closest premium server to me) and my download speeds returned to normal and in off peak hours even faster than before. Take a peek and see if this helps you as it did me. Good luck!

In response to post #16773919. Were you aware that you could set your default download site for the new system in your profile settings? When the changeover occurred I too was pointed to a server that was not the best for my area. However I read the article on the new system, made the preference change that was recommended in the INSTRUCTIONS and had no problems. There is no difference in download speeds or reliability between the old and new system for me. Secondly, before you knock a site, I think you need to take a step back and objectively view the whole system. Had you also considered that your PROVIDER may have issues as well? Nexus is not responsible for problems there. Maybe I'm just lucky with my location and provider, but I think you should do a more in-depth analysis of what's happening to you and post specifics to the appropriate thread (i.e. the bug report site for NMM) rather than vent your spleen in a shotgun approach in a common area. No, I'm not affiliated with the site I'm just a regular premium member/user. I do, however, dislike seeing it bashed when I've experienced YEARS of excellent service and total honesty by Dark One when they do have problems. Very few sites accept responsibility for screw ups like this one does, the others would rather blame anything else but themselves. You will be hard pressed to find this level of honesty elsewhere. I trust you will take this to heart objectively and hope that you solve your issues soon, and you will if you work with them and not just sit there and whine. Regards
