OFF: I decided to intro my character. Who has no name. And has an awfully bad string of luck. He can't remember who he is or where he's from. He comes from an area beyond the STALKER game realms.
Through the waves of gamma reflection and blistering heat a figure walks the Valley of Burden. Cloaked in a grey faded to white coat, left hand wrapped in a scab crusted and dry bandage; the drifter walks along the sun cracked old mud road without a glance to the plane beyond. Closer he draws to a obsidian stone, black and marbled as a piece of cake. Its deceptive casting along the igneous rivers of mineral and sharp granite draw him like the promise of water and riches so many came looking before him. He stops to raise his head and shields his eyes with the most likely infected hand."There you are. There you are...."
Taking steps closer to the monument he places his palms on the slope of the ascending hill. No sweat falls to cool his face, but the stinging salts of his brow have now nested in his burns as well. Crisp and split, his lips ache from the polluted air rushing over them into his lungs. Somehow he manages to push from his legs with the flat grip boots on the bank of fortune towards the column of his nightmares. Over the skulls and cured rubber skins of the unlucky corpses time and animals left as if cursed. Length upon length he sets behind his memory of the journey, until just a hope and narrow grasp away from his goal he collapses. Face down in the bleached out sands, veins hollow and devoid of energy. Slapping out at the bank screaming in agony, fits of anger and failure strike his heart. Rising from his belly to unholster his pistol, he fires a round at the object.
"Why?! WHY!!! Can you hear me? YOU B*TCH! I'M HERE! RIGHT HERE! My blood is what you
want! My heart from my chest! You can have this soul as black as your shell. You wh*re,
take what you called. Take it! I'm here. I've come here for you. Take me, take my
existence. But let me die with it! Here. HERE!!!"
Words echoing to the dust, his curses unanswered and exhausted he falls to his knees, crying
and broken. Whimpering out nothings, as the heat was all he felt now.
"Give it to me. I'll pay anything. Give me my name..."
Blacking out and immobile, a congress of unrecognizable figures and hands have found his body. The smell of warm oil pierced his confusion. He had been placed in a truck somewhere after his slipping consciousness. Snaking back and forth along the metal, brief glimpses of the cargo canvas from the bed of the truck give little detail to the faces around him. The sky was changing, indicating a familiar terrain. He was being taken somewhere back towards the zone. The figures came into view as soldiers. No these uniforms aren't Freedom or Duty, but simple mercenaries with organization. Stopping somewhere with a greyed out horizon he lost consciousness again. Maybe they found what he was looking for, maybe they found her, and maybe they know what he must survive to find out.
Transferred from truck to truck, finally a jeep of some kind; he heard the cracking of thunder. No, not just thunder but mortar fire. The driver screaming as the gunner is spraying rounds, his condition disallows the ability to concentrate on what's happening. Hammered by an awful blast, the gunner's legs are all that are left visible to him in the darkness while the driver loses control of the jeep. Grinding sideways, rolling, and crushing itself; he is slung off the back of the vehicle during flashes of lightning. Rain gracing his bloody and thirsty body, he can see the light of a camp nearby. It was guarded, but would that guard render aid? He had no way to signal those figures ahead. He fired his pistol in the air, signaling the guard and passing out once more. His weapon sliding away in the mud.
Falling back into the darkness, he saw her again. He must find her. Sell the souls of the world to find her, she knows who he is. She can give him back the past. She can stop this madness.
Wooo. Long type up. :whistling:

Morrowind looked great when I first saw it. Now... Eh... It kind of hurts my eyes it's so brown. Game was amazing though and the different things you could do, there was just no comparison in that free roam premise. It dominated completely every hour of my day. The XBOX conversion was horribly laggy and I gotta say shame on the attempt however.... I even have that copy still as well. Works way better on the 360. Backwards emulation sometimes causes freezing but not as bad as the original chirping after five feet of movement. PC version is beautiful when you mod it out to the max.

DooM 3 was a game far above most others for the year it came out and it had a decent amount of ambience and spook to it. The occult and satanic imagery was almost non-existent for obvious reasons. I mean they had to get the game out at least and the game still has some decent content that expands on the nightmare. But to just revamp 1/2 would be stupid and those who prayed they would do that deserved to be disappointed.
I don't want to play the same game for a different price over 10 years....

Sega Genesis. One Christmas.... I looked under the tree to see that Santa had left me a big box. I opened it up and I knew what it was the moment I read SEGA... I began to happily unwrap the rest of the box while my father turned on the TV. There in my pajamas I watched as my father hooked the little machine up, slotted a cartridge, and handed me the controller. After flipping the switch, there it went... The music and the graphics had me awestruck. I played and played and played until when I finally had to go to bed again that night, I slept and saw the game in my dreams even though I wasn't awake. It made me horribly sick. The moment I woke up, I played it again.
For years I spent hours a day with that little machine. Greatest Heavyweights, all the Sonic games, the Sports games, Eternal Champions and Mortal Kombat... Jeez...
Made me cry for hours when they finally canned it and went to the Saturn...

World of Warcraft 3 is still on the shelves at your local Walmart.
People as we all know, you're paying to play it first and to play it BEFORE your mind is washed with the world's opinion. It's almost as bad as everyone who bought that piece of crap Legend because of the hype in advertisement. When the word got out, that game wasn't worth a dime.
It's gonna be a blockbuster again. It's impossible for the formula to go wrong this time. Everything is in order and everything has a bigger budget. Now granted most of the staff has transferred but the feeling and the common sense will prevail at Infinity Ward. It'll be worth your money. More so than probably anything else released in the same month...

I for one would love to see more aquatic creatures. Because let's face it, there's not a whole lot in Fallout 3... period.

Doom 1-2 and exps, Syphon Filter, Super Mario Bros III, Perfect Dark64, GTA Vice City, Oblivion, Morrowind, STALKER, Unreal Tournament, Quake II and III, The Legend of Dragoon, and of course Half Life. HL2 though was..... not my fav.

On the PC with max settings, highest resolution, forced extras, and an HD LCD 40" Philips TV for a monitor, the graphics are so dated it's incredible this game released so far after the Source engine was invented. Valve strings everything out for the last penny.
After buying it and playing it night and day for two days... I've noticed that Versus is really the only mode receiving traffic. Coop, what the game was originally intended for, is almost useless unless you know the people you're playing with. There's no time to chat to each other, and no reason too. Very simplified design, either play the game, or gtf off Steam. No real communication, no real team based tactics, just run and blast everything like it was a speedrun game and leave your team mates to fight the swarms and tanks without you. It's kind of a shame really.
