All right. Thanks for all the replies guys. I found out which mod was causing this and it is the Zensalins Oblivion Overhaul.esp for certain. Now I just have to find out why that mos would be causing duplicate items. Also, I've tried a clean install with just this mod and it seems that they screwed something up because I'm having the same problem with only this mod installed. At least that is what it seems like to me.

Every time I pick certain things up like food, alchemy equipment, weapons and such. I get like 9 or ten of the same item. I've never experienced this bug before and it HAS to be a conflict of some sort. Here is my load order.

Last time I tried to use Mod Organizer with Oblivion (about two or three years ago) not a single mod that used OBSE would even work. It would launch OBSE and the mods would be installed correctly but the mod would not work. But other mods like texture mods and race mods worked just fine. This just confused me and then I decided to just stick to WryeBash and OBMM. Just wondering because I have seen a lot of people suggest using NMM and MO2 even though I have only ever used WryeBash and OBMM. I have also heard people say to never use NMM or MO2 with Oblivion. So what is the deal? Has Mod Organizer 2 changed something? And is there any benefit to using MO2 or NMM?

I have had this problem for many years while playing this game and just recently figured out that Oblivion Stutter Remover was causing it. With certain textures, specifically the textures of the beached ship at The Mouth of The Panther and some in Castle Kvatch, when you look at them at a certain angle they turn either bright orange or grey. I made sure to uninstall and reinstall OSR multiple times to see if it was the cause and it seemed to be. It is not really a huge problem as OSR is too good to uninstall over such a small bug. But I am just more curious if anyone else knows a fix or even has this problem as well. Here is a screenshot I took.

So I read the pdf. And it sort of confused me more. It says that you can just install WAC, which I have done. But I don't see any compatibility settings in the Compatibility.ini. And not sure if this is intended but none of the actors/npcs from MOO have weapons or armor from WAC. It seems that only the certain Bandits really have stuff from WAC and even then some bandits don't seem to have anything from WAC either. Could be how it was meant to be but it seems a bit odd.

Sorry for the oldest necro in history, but the cause is indeed oblivion stutter remover for future reference I have tried for years to figure out what causes this glitch and never could. Thank you. Its just too bad there is not a fix, at least not one that I can find for it.

I think you are right on the money. Because this same mod list would crash every single time I even entered a city when I tried to use Unnecessary violence 3 with it. I guess I'll just have to pick and choose what to use with Oblivion. Right now I am working on a similar sized mod list but with out OOO, BeterCities or Unique Landscapes and I am getting a lot less crashes it seems. I've only messed with this loadout for a few hours but it does not seem to crash when I level my character up like it did with my first load out. Hopefully I will actually be able to play this one. Here it is if you're curious.

Yes. Other interiors not affected by this mod are just fine. I think I might pass on this mod. I already had to uninstall the arena overhaul. Which sucks because that was the main reason I installed this mod was for the arena. Because it started to have issues with Oblivion Uncut as well. When the arena overhaul is installed and I waited inside the Battlemage School near Cheydinhal a message would pop up every hour during the waiting screen saying something about not being permitted to view arena matches from the Royal balcony. No idea how that happened.

What do you mean by MOO lets you play a different version? I've never heard of that.

How did anyone manage to even play this mod when it first released?! I can run better cities at about an average of 20 to 30 frames most of the time. But the interiors of this mod (especially the arena) drag my frames all the way down to 12! Just curious if maybe anyone else who has used this mod knows if I am doing something wrong or if the mod is just that resource intensive. Here is my Load Order: And here are my PC specs. Well, I'm actually on a Desktop. But either way I think the performance loss was due to something else. Because I just checked my frames with and without sound and there was no difference. I also removed all of the other mp3 files and returned the default soundtrack. Also removed that music mod. It may have had something with the mp3 tracks I was using or something. As they were some pretty big and high quality files. Or it was just a coincidence that my game started performing better once I disabled the audio. Either way sorry for the confusion and thanks for all the help.

I am using a usb DAC/amp so I am actually not sure which it would be considered. Here is the one I am using. https://www.amazon.com/SMSL-Optical-Coaxial-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B06VSVSCF9 I guess this would still be using the motherboard maybe?

I read a post about how when they turned off sound it greatly improved performance and virtually removed stutters. Doing this also had the same result. Well I have a lot of mp3 tracks from other game soundtracks because I get tired of the same old music when playing Oblivion even though it is one of my favorite sound tracks. I also have a mod installed called Enhanced Music and Control 2 ( https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45925 ). I was wondering if there was a way to either get custom music to perform better or something. If not that is fine. I will probably just play with the music turned off and see if that helps. Hopefully I can at least play with sound enabled.

What is with all of these annoying websites hiding files behind log ins? There is no way I am gonna be using my main email for these random dead sites. I really don't understand why you have to put road blocks up just to down load a file. Something to due with avoiding copyright infringement maybe?
