I mean look how close it is to the actual Sniper outfit from Team Fortress 2, you'd just need to color in the inside with red, give it a sling belt, and etc. and you're good to go!
Would love some more attention for TF2 content in Fallout 4 (especially that new Jarate mod that came out yesterday lol) -
Don't try "experiments" with your current play-through game. Always use a disposable "new game" for that purpose.
Sounds like you need to completely re-install that mod, and then toggle "ArchiveInvalidation" off-and-on-again after reverting to a "save game" from before your experiment. Such "overhauls" usually involve not just the mesh and texture files, but also the "skeleton/armature". The "black bands" you saw are typical of a missing "UV map" for the texture, which indicates a mismatch between the mesh and texture files. Re-check the mod requirements. (A "UV map" tells the game how the texture is supposed to "skin" the mesh wireframe for lighting purposes.)
Please see the 'Issue: Body Replacer - Custom Body Types' and related 'Body Replacer -' entries under the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' section and the 'Solutions to Mesh (Red "!" icon) or Texture (solid color) problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article.

I've also checked the site for the mod and there aren't any other requirements other than Dead Money
(I use NMM, but the other Dragbody mods work fine using it)

How do you toggle archiveinvalidation on or off? I've heard it's a mod or something to fix the game but I'm not quite sure.
Could you please elaborate?

So today I decided to do some experimenting with Dragbody's NPC Overhaul mod and it went horribly.
I was trying to fix the texture problem that I've been having with this mod since 2 months ago (i.e. Veronica with two weird black lines on her face, Sunny Smiles with a weird jaw texture bug and Easy Pete looking burnt to a crisp.) And to be assured, I have no other NPC retexture and/or body enhancement mods installed other than Dragbody's. Now here's where the trouble started.
I checked on the textures for Veronica on NifSkope and found that nothing was wrong with it, it looked exactly how she was supposed to look. So then I tried looking for any mods that might conflict with it and found nothing. SO YOU KNOW WHAT I DID? I accidentally deleted the meshes and textures from New Vegas' data directory.
I got them back, obviously, but then the meshes were all wrong. Big red triangles with an exclamation mark on it on every NPC I saw, my companions (since I use the Unlimited Companion Module) would teleport to me (or rather I would teleport to them) after a black screen would come out of nowhere and phase into that situation, and I couldn't switch camera angles using F cause it wouldn't let me. All in one save before I messed up everything.
So uh... please? Can anyone help?
I've tried other forums, Reddit, multiple websites, all with none of the same issue as mine.
i don't care that much for Dragbody's mod not working, I just want to play New Vegas :(

So I'm downloading Tale of Two Wastelands and following the instructions on how to download it (by GamerPoets), right?
And so I see the Fallout 3, TTW, and YUP files are already in my NV directory (and also in NMM.)
Should I be able to play TTW now?
Now I'm not very experienced in TTW, but to any professionals out there, could anyone please confirm if this is right or wrong?
Thank you in advance.
(This question will only last 2 to 3 hours so please make it quick!)

Suggest you also take a look at the 'Issue: Body Replacer - Custom Body Types' and related 'Body Replacer -' entries of the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' section of the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" article. You need to be using the same body mesh as the textures for "NPC Overhaul by dragbody" are designed to work with. (I'm not familiar with NPC Overhaul, so this might be a non-issue but you need to be aware of it.)

oh sorry I meant to refer my second comment to your reply lol

For a re-texture only, just drag and drop the texture files to the appropriate place in the data folder.
I don't recall if Veronica's body textures have been meddled with in the mod, but I'll see if anything happens, thanks

alright, I'll try doing that, thanks

So I tried out the NPC Overhaul by dragbody and was really digging Veronica's look, but not the others.
Plus my game crashes often and I think it might be because of the mod. So then I thought, "Hey, since I really like the Veronica dragbody made, why not just take the files relating to Veronica's retexture, put them all in a new unzipped file, and put in NMM?"
But in order for this to (in theory) work I need some help on this.
Any suggestions?

Are you using NMM 0.72.1?
idk maybe
-
Find your NMM mods folder, (in windows explorer) then, right click, select new, then Folder, Name is something like "Mods Downloads", or something similar, and when you click the manual download link, (or, the Download with manager...) point it at that folder. When it is done downloading, click on the "add file from archive" button in NMM, navigate to that folder, and select the archive you just downloaded. I also have it sorted by date, most recent at the top..... that way, the mod(s) I want to install, are right there.
Ok, I'll try that later, thank you! (sorry for the long reply!)

Yeah, I got that one too a while back. I just created a new, empty directory to download my mods to, and then pointed NMM there when I "install mod from archive". Works fine.
How do I make a new empty directory and make my downloads go there? I'm not very familiar in this topic of computers.
-
New topic here, I recently found out when downloading mods manually with NMM I came across an error that said:
[Warning!
Archive: (where I put my downloads).rar
ERROR: You can't add a mod directly from NMM Mods folder, please move it somewhere else before adding it to mod manager!]
Previously, I didn't have this problem but it just occurred to me today. Could anyone shine some light on my problem? Maybe I messed up something with NMM?

"User Interface (UI)" problems indicate you have changed XML files. This is often caused by an "install order" problem with more than one mod replacing or editing the same XML file. (MCM in particular is sensitive to this.) Please see the wiki "HUD-UI-Menu issues" article. (This takes some interpretation as applies to your situation. There are too many permutations for an "if A then B" type of guide. If you haven't encountered XML files before then the "TL;DR" section is not going to help by itself.)

JIP does have an XML file but I don't know how to use it.

So I checked my mods (and tested NVSE with a pip boy mod) and I found out NVSE was completely fine.
Maybe it was something that had to do with JIP? or UIO?
Please, any piece of info can help.
-
Check NVSE and each of the plugins/mods to it for their VC++ Runtime library requirements. (You might need to check the comments page before you find it mentioned.) Typically they need older versions than the latest and were likely not installed at all on a new machine. The same issue applies to DirectX drivers.

Okay but before I go any further I need to ask.
So I have both JIP NVSE Plugin and MCM on both of my PCs
Say, I used for example the Just Hit Marker mod.
It'll always be in the Just Mods option in MCM.
But on this laptop the Just Mods category isn't there.
What would be the case for that?
I have the same set of mods on this and my other laptop, but the category just doesn't appear.
I tried using one of the older files for JIP but it still didn't work.
-
So basically my dad has this laptop that he recently bought that was basically better than the laptop I'm using now (both made by HP) and for some reason mods that use NVSE (i.e. Just Hit Marker, Loot Menu, and Solid Project) wouldn't work for some reason. All my mods work fine on my current laptop, but the one my dad has just doesn't seem to work.
Maybe I missed something? Maybe I needed to put something into the Fallout.ini or FalloutCustom.ini files? I don't know, but can anyone suggest a solution?

Minigun Custom First Person Animations?
in Mod Ideas
Posted
Preferably like the ones from TF2 or New Vegas
The game's been out for 5 years now and no one's considered a Minigun with custom 1st person animations?
Does no one think that the way the player character holds the Minigun is just a little off?
Plus, the reloading just doesn't make any sense!
Would love to see something like this in the near future if possible
