  1. Sounds like you want a AC game in fantasy setting more so than a TES game. You might have a better chance to suggest that idea to AC board after they run out of historical era to trash. Or, maybe what you really want is a sandbox Dishonored, but at any rate, the idea you described have a far fatter chance to be realized in a none TES game than it would. Physics is wacked, for sure, but if each object have weight, material, physics applied to... Good luck running it with current hard wares. For example, even most phyx engine enabled game has a handful of gimicks, i.e. window shattering, paper flying, and even with just a few objects it will take a performance hit (3-5 FPS in Batman:AC on a top rig) imagine now you want it on everything... And how real are you going for ? Objects effects by wind ? Fireball spell decrease in size with lower air pressure ? Lightning spell fizzle when moisture in air achieve certain point ? Weight changes depends on object is wet or not ? Not only would it be taxing for the system it would also be taxing for 'entertaining values'. Imagine a Hollywood film without Hollywood magic... I would be happy with object flying around less and live in a world where games are just entertaining. TL:DR Sounds more like you want a sandbox dishonored or a fantasy AC than TES game
  2. Starting mage was hard until you can stun/stagger lock mobs. There are occasions where I had to pick up a shield and sword and swing around/bashing around until I gate some Magika back or play hide and seek around an obstacle.. Money become less an issue real quick as majority of the mage quest take you to fighting mage type mobs that drops relatively expensive robes. I found myself save/load a lot more on my mage character than my warrior character and some fight a summoned elemental or 2 can turn things around (namely azure star quest). Just keep in mind when you are holding down any trigger button to cast you are not regening any magicka, so don't be stupid like my friend who played a mage like an archer and wonder why he is always OOM. Spells like Flame also applies DOT, you can pulse fire and let dots take its full tick before you reapply. DO NOT WEAR any armor (no leather etc) Movement speed on just robe/cloth can let you run away faster in most situation. You can back strife kite with ice spell easily if you have no armor on. So far @lvl 20 I found my mage having easier time killing a lot more stuffs than my warrior when he was lvl 20, however if you carelessly wander into a room with 2-3 mobs as mage you will be dead in an instant.
  3. Love steam when they do crazy sales, hate steam when I switch between work computer and home computer and laptop to play games and have to input new verification codes every time. As for DRM ? They are dumbest ideas, it's true pirates get to play game sooner than we do in numerous cases, Skyrim being one I believe, and they usually encounter less issue than paying customers. It's true I still hesitate when purchasing a game that prints "require steam to play" and quite a few game lost my business due to that. I hated internet-bound DRM ever since Ass Creed 2, and vow to never purchase another UbiSoft game other than used console copy on eBay and I suspect I am not the only one who feels that way.
  4. DX10 is a Vista only thing anyway... and I doubt there will be proper DX11 support ever, consider the game is build for xbox360 which only supports DX 9.0c. I wouldn't worry or look into it too much.
  5. Bethesda has gone mad, they are idiots if they think they can win such a ridiculous lawsuit. So I am waiting for Lucas Art to sue Bethesda for using the word "Rogue" in Rogue Warrior as it's god damn similar to Rogue Squadron. Waiting for Atlas to sue the crap out of Bethesda naming that game "Demon's Forge" I mean that's not similar to Demon Soul or anything >.> even backgrounds looks similar to certain degree ! I wonder if Bethesda actually paid city of Las Vegas, State of Utah, to make games that is about them while putting that in the name ?! Get over it Bethesda, unless the law suit takes place in California there is not a chance for you to win even a dime.
