Yes I do. And I was hoping you'd see my post and come to my rescue and guess what? That's exactly what happened but I think next time I might just post a "Help Purr4me" topic. -

Okay be interesting to see that. I had a crash after about 30 to 40 minute game time that caused me to hard boot the PC (thanks Antec for the reset button). And win10 wanted me to reload G4WL Marketplace which I did after the reboot and I just played over an hour with no hiccups. So, so far so good. -

You impress the hell out of me. I'm glad you're here to grace the rest of us clowns with your knowledge and wisdom. I decided not to use FOSE. I loaded MO 1.12.8 and FOMM 14.11.09 because that was the only we could fine where I could get all three xlive files from. I'm planning on running it in XP compatible mode. I had a concern because the Saved Game I used to start everything was originally from my last install which did use FOSE. Is this going to be an issue? Well win10 compatibility mode wanted to set it to run in Vista SP2 so I let it and it seems to be running fine. A little more test (heh, heh playing the game) and I'll know more but I think you fixed it. -

Thanks, I did finally understand what you were saying and followed you direction. I did load a saved game from right before I exited the vault and loaded it, then exited and saved. Ran in the Steam fake file and started FO3 waited 3 minutes and saved exited. Loaded the 1.7 patch and made sure the GECK was loaded and updated and worked. Now at this point I figure I can load in the DLC I had zipped what about the three xlive files do I need to put them back in FO3 root? -

My error I wasn't reading what you wrote correctly. There's just a lot of info to take in an assimilate while trying to keep up with you. I do appreciate all the time you are devoting to me and I really do want to get FO3 up and running correctly and really need your help. I'll be more careful before responding from now on. -

I found and downloaded the "fake" file but I'm not sure what this "Download the steam item. this is used after you have cleared the DRM training scripts..." is. I really don't use Steam for any of my FO3 games, it doesn't even show up in my steam account. -

Well I see MO 2.9, 2.14, 2.7, 2.18,and a bunch of 3.x's all the way up to 3.8 but no 2.12 so I guess I'll just go with 2.18 unless there is a reason I need to go with one of the 3.x's -

I just grabbed them with FOMM BSA Browser and moved them to a flash drive them moved them back and forth. I saw they were in folders when I moved them. I'll play around with that later and see what I come up with. FO3 has been removed through windows and I went in and deleted everything left behind. I now have a blank Bethesda Softworks folder on D: So I should go ahead and reinstall from the disk and then load a saved game and then stop as soon as I exit the Vault or should I just let the game p[lay out until I exit the Vault? -

I moved the sounds.bsa file from Anchorage 132 items. on the PC it took 2.5 seconds to go from the flash drive to D: but 16.49 to go from D: to the flash drive. This is a home build PC. the laptop is a ASUS and it took 4.96 from the flash drive to D: and 10.86 from D: to the flash drive. -

Result from post #37 First I already went ahead and made the zip file of the DLC, Data folder and the Game root files. All are saved to the desktop. The executable is 1.7 but I didn't patch it the DVD for GOTY was already 1.7. Should I patch it anyway? I can uninstall and reinstall and start a saved game just before leaving the vault. But like I said it's still going to be 1.7 I can't get around that. I would certainly like to build a multi profile/game repertoire and can purchase a passport drive but the ones I'm seeing are all USB 3 even the "old" ones. I'll keep looking for older older ones. -

Okay well where to start? Should I go ahead and continue preparing this game or do I put that on hold and work on making me faster, better, stronger first? I am running a strict Win10 64bit PC but I do have two SATA drives and one SSD that my current games are on. I also have a laptop but unfortunately I've already installed Win10 on it also but it was a 64bit Win7 before. Two things. 1. you mention using Mod organizer, I'm currently not using that, should I be? 2. what is the iso software you mentioned I found ISO Disk and Magic ISO but neither of them looked like what you were talking about. Can you point me there. I found WD my passport ultra the old model pretty cheap so maybe I can spring for one if you recommend it. -

Just when things were going so good. I had another crash with the same code 0xc0000005. It took a lot longer to crash but crash it did. I've got it running in XP sp2 mode by running the compatibility troubleshooter. Should I switch to manually setting it? Is there anything else I should do? uninstall and re-install? try not installing the DLC? Run as Admin? -

I can get either 13.23 or 14.11 to work as a manager but neither have all the xlive folders but I did get all three xlive folders from 14.10.8 but can't get that ver to load up. CFF explorer show Microsoft Visual Studio.NET Assembly in the File Info under property for FOMM.exe so I guess it's there. Can I use the xlive files from 14.10 in the root file of the game but still use either 13.21 or 14.11 to manage the game? -

I just downloaded FOMM ver. 0.14.10.8 and I have all three xlive files. Are these okay to use or is there a different ver I should try?
