interesting disabling all mods made no difference but disabling a specific mod cured the problem what was the mod? and did you post in the mod's thread about the problem? Well, let me rephrase that, it was an older mod which I had installed which I didn't disabled. It was Ruined Tails Tale, which I had actually just finished, and I don't wanna post in the mods thread since I hardly get a response from anyone whenever I 've tried. :|

I actually did the resetting codes thingy earlier since I saw that as a solution earlier while I was searching but that didn't work, already did a clean boot, but after disabling a mod it finallly stopped happening. I'm not sure what I did but I'm sooooooooooo happy i can play again, thanks a bunch for your help Tom. :)

This is weird, I loaded up a different save and it worked just perfect. Could it be that the save file is corrupted? -edit- nvm problem is still there.

Dxdiag I just tried regenerating the ini and didn't work. :(

I downloaded a bunch of mods but before I installed any I made a backup of my data folder then installed them all. After doing so and launching Oblivion, everything seemed fine until I pulled out my sword and attacked as soon as I click the attack button it freezes, you can still hear the music and all but I can't move. I disabled all the mods I had installed and used my backup to restore everything as it was and it's still freezing, any solutions or something that's causing this?
