Holy crap.. I too have been searching for an answer to the exact same problem. I've now started 3 separate games all ending when it becomes unplayable at 8-10 fps after a few hours. I have a very similar setup, and I just copy/pasted and minor edited a lot of your initial post because our situations are THAT similar. Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit AMD Phenom II 970 processor (4 CPUs), ~3.5 Ghz 8192 MB RAM GeFOrce GTX 460 SE (~1024 MB) 1680 x 1050 resolution I'm also running quite a few mods: All the DLCs Project Nevada (all components) Nevada Skies Poco Bueno detailed texture mod Electro-City Weapons Mod Expansion More perks/traits Essential Visual Enhancements Unified HuD project (aHUD, iHUD, adv recon, radar HUD, primary needs) New Vegas Bounties 1 Cipcis Automatic Save Manager I installed them mostly following Gopher's instructions on YouTube. Mod list below: I have also tried many fixeds, though not the d3d9.dll fix because I did not want to overwrite the already existing one that was included with FNV_Enhanced Shaders. I may try it but I don't see how it would help as I believe the .dll fix was prevalent when FNV first came out and was related to NPC faces. I do use the fnv4GB fix, Fake Full Screen and NV Stutter remover and am getting 40-50 fps outdoors when I first start a new game. Then, as the OP, as I continue to play the fps steadily comes down until after a few hours I'm at 8-10 fps. Please keep me updated OP if you find a fix and I will do the same!
