I had the door problem one. Updated my sound card drivers and it went away. Card is a Audigy4 if that helps.

Just downloaded it again and maybe it'll work this time.

I have Firefox set to clear out all cookies upon closing the browser. Thanks for the suggestion though.

The ones I can't rate don't show up in my download list. One of the error messages is that I can't rate the file because I haven't downloaded it. But I have...

You'd be better off reinstalling Oblivion than trying to manually uninstall Quarl's TP3. QTP3 is massive, it replaced around 4,000 files in your Oblivion install. You'll never get it all by hand and you'll be having large swaths of purple and yellow land or objects everywhere.
Learn the awesomeness of Oblivion Mod Manager and always make omods. Then, if you run into problems with a mod it's a simple double click to uninstall the whole thing. QTP3 is a massive texture replacer, looks awesome but you need a high end gaming machine with lots of VRAM to run it nicely. If you add in viewable when distant mods, it just increases to a more horrific level of vram.
I run a GTX 285 with 1024 megs of vram and running QTP3 (not reduced) and Tamriel VWD+Chapels+Extras I regularly hit 900+ megs of vram used. I recently ditched QTP3 in favor of Parallax Cities Gigapack and 2048 color and normal maps replacement. I like the default Oblivion look of buildings and stuff but hated the distant land. This fixed that. Awesome distant land and 3D looking structures thanks to the Gigapack.
Good luck. When it's all said and done, defrag that drive.

Sorry, just noticed the date...

You certainly are above the system requirements but I think your problem is that video card. It's horrible, sorry.
Things you could try are disabling background processes and defrag your hard drive. I wouldn't expect much a noticeable performance increase though. Other than that you are looking at getting a new video card if you want any real performance increases. That card just too under powered, it's the lowest end card of it's generation which was four generations of Nvidia cards ago. Granted it's an old game but it still needs pixel pushing power to run it smoothly.
You could reduce your screen resolution, this could actually help quite a bit at the cost of the game looking "nice" if you play on a LCD.

Download and run B.O.S.S. and it'll sort your load order correctly. Are all those active? I see you have many versions of the same plugin 1.0, 2.0, 2.1, etc. all in there. You shouldn't, unless specifically told to in the readme or something run multiple revisions of the same mod. Generally speaking the most current version will suffice. If you are running multiple versions of the same mod I can't believe you haven't had more problems.
Run B.O.S.S. and try the mod again. It's an awesome mod, got it myself.

Could you elaborate that a bit. Does it say you didn't download it, or didn't you download it yet and haven't waited the amount of time required to vote..There could be an extra 15 min cool off indeed.
It says any one of those at any given time. For example, I downloaded a mod yesterday and was logged in when I did so but today I can't give it a thumbs up. I tried several times and I received the haven't waited long enough one. Tried again and got hit with the you haven't downloaded this file. Tried again and was slapped with the cool off one. Tried again and got another but I don't recall what it was.
This just happens sometimes on my downloads. I like to show appreciation for the modders hard work but maybe two or three times a month this happens. I'll never be able to rate this file for some reason. Sometimes it just glitches on me.

Still playing that old game on a regular basis. It was even patched again earlier this year and it was launched in what, 2002?
Awesome.

Try a different sound driver perhaps? I run a Audigy 4 and in that respect all their drivers are not created equal...
Aside from that I had it running on Vista Ultimate 64 fine but OBMM would freak out and corrupt all my mods after a few plays. Dunno. Vanilla Oblivion was good to go though.

Yup, play it every Monday night with the guys from work. Mostly sniper and support classes and support is my favorite. Spray and pray! Screen name is a little ill suited to a public forum, swap the **'s for the letter o and you'll get it. Questionable.P**n.
-
Have you tried going back to the drivers you were using roughly 10 months ago then? Newer isn't always better in the driver department, especially on older games.

Having problems off and on with the endorsement system. It will work for a while and then again, it won't. When it's not working for me it'll say things like I haven't had the file long enough, I haven't downloaded the file, something about a cool off period, etc.
Is this a known bug or something?
Thanks

I rarely comment but you speak true and I'll say thankya. Mods keep games fresh and new. You take any of the great games mentioned in the post and look at the community and it's mods that drive it forward. Push the limits of the game engine beyond what was maybe possible upon release or just add new content or reshape the world in it's entirety.
I started off with mods by discovering the Popehat Oblivion Omod Project aka P.O.O.P. It actually led to a mod addiction that bloomed to somewhere around 200 and since had to be leaned out to a modest 125... All of them appreciated and I took the time to let them know that. The modders of the world deserve recognition and damned if I'd not be interested in reading what drove them to do what they did.
Glad to see Neverwinter Nights mentioned there too. Great old game and a personal favorite. Great example of how mods keep the game new over time. I know Bioware recognizes it as they just patched that 7 year old game again in 2009 releasing a ton of free content themselves.
It's a great relationship when you get an outstanding game from an outstanding company that supports the modding community by giving them the Toolset or Construction set for the game. Encouraging the modders of the community to go forth and in some cases nearly recreate their game for mass consumption. Then we the gamers reap the rewards of it all.
Can't be beat.
I wholly support getting the modders the attention and recognition they deserve. I've trimmed down my mod list to a paltry 125 and have taken the time to thank all of the creators I think. I just appreciate their effort and I appreciate my enjoyment too, heh.
Okay, done rambling now.

If you are having problems installing this and getting it running you need to read the freaking manual. It's spelled out there. Update your dx9 with the latest redistributable and you will get rid of your dx9 problems.
This isn't a mod, it's a tool. Read how to properly install the tool. It'll take you all of twenty minutes to read it and install it correctly. I recommend reading the manual twice first and going from there.
There is some prep work involved in using this tool. It's worth every minute it takes to prep, install and configure it.

Yes, it works for Bloodmoon and Tribunal. I'm running GOTY edition here with all the official mods and a large number of unofficial ones too.
-
Officially, not sure. I can say with certainty that you will need more than minimum Morrowind GOTY requirements. If you want it to look and play good and smoothly you will need a modern rig.
I posted most of those screenshots and I get similar performance to what I get in Oblivion. Granted, both games are heavily modded. I would suggest as a rule of thumb if you want the view distance and other bells and whistles enabled in this program, you should have a rig that meets the minimum requirements for Oblivion and make sure your video card is dx9 and made within the last two years.
Shouldn't be a problem for most PC gamers. But yes, it's gonna tax your system a bit. Start with the default settings and increase or decrease from there. I actually have the default view distance cranked down quite a bit. As you can see from the screens, it's still awesome.
Lastly, read the instructions on this or you will have problems. This doesn't install like any other mod. Read it twice and then do it.
Hope this helps some, later.

Screenshots to do it some justice.

Okay, this program is terrific. It notified me of some LGNPC and UMP updates, made a couple of suggestions in load order and will set the new load order for you if you desire. Very simple to use and understand. It's in my permanent backup for the best mods.
Thanks for the donation to the community.
