  1. Let's see. You've got flying mammoths, flying horses, NPC's falling from the sky, dragons flying backwards (I believe only on PS3), skeleton gliches, giants running a space program, quest bugs, texture gliches and ocasionally your character turns into rainbow colors. You gotta love those things, they make Bethesda games special.

I've played over 200 hours on a PC and I've never gotten ANY of those glitches, not even before the patches came out. I've gotten a couple of quest bugs, that's about it.

  2. I've done everything (I think) except for the daedric quests and the hundreds of minor, miscellaneous quest thingies.

Here's another thing to do if you've finished the civil war: Start a new character with an opposite personality type and play the opposing side of the civil war. LOL! I'm doing that now, and I already feel like a traitor to my original side.

  3. Skyrim is like the only kid on the block that you can play D&D with. Since no other kids play D&D, you end up loving and hating this kid. He's annoying in so many ways but he's all you've got.

This quote made me laugh.

  4. Has anyone been able to start "Blood on the Ice" after completing the Civil War questline and siding with the Imperials? Heard on other forums that the patch fixed this issue, but I still can't get it to initiate myself.

Nope. I STILL can't get the quest to trigger. *Is sad.* :( I've been trying to get that bloody quest to start all day and it STILL won't. (By the way, I sided with the Stormcloaks and got the same bug that keeps the "Blood on the Ice" quest from starting. I don't think the bug has anything to do with what side you chose in the civil war.)

  5. This is hilarious.

I've encountered a few bugs in Skyrim, but I've also played some VERY buggy games before (Sims 3, Gothic) and compared to those, Skyrim seems flawless. The original Gothic was the single buggiest game I've ever encountered in my life (but very fun if you ignored the bugs). Really, I guess those two games lowered my standards for bug tolerance. LOL. I just can't complain much about Skyrim after those two.

  6. This is what the creepy mannequins are supposed to look like.

But one day, I returned to my Riften home to discover the mannequins were even creepier than normal. Why was one suddenly off his pedestal and across the room?!!?!!

I fled the home in terror. Then I returned again to find the mannequins had changed position AGAIN.

I returned to the house a third time to find the mannequins back in their places, as if nothing had happened. I worry they will kill me in my sleep.

    :ermm:

  7. .... IMO he had no idea who you were and if he did he would have allowed the Imperials to execute you.

I agree with this statement. ;)

I wanted to show everyone these screenshots from the opening sequence, though. (Cropped slightly so you can see them better.) In the first one, Alduin seems to be looking directly at me. I believe this shot was taken when I was kneeling and about to be beheaded. In the other, Alduin is trying to eat my face. (Literally ... he is in the process of trying to bite me in half, here.) Hmmmmm.... So Alduin DOES try to kill you in the opening sequence, but only if you really, really put yourself in his way to get eaten. Otherwise he ignores you. Make of it what you will ... I just thought you might enjoy the screenshots.

"Look .. puny humans killing each other. How amusing."

  8. The "sexist" question is always kind of interesting to discuss. I'm a woman, and I'm very glad there are several women fighters and bodyguards in the game. (Many of the Housecarls are women, and they are bodyguards.) The over-abundance of male soldiers in the game doesn't bother me because it's realistic.
  9. Yah, that quest sucks. My game wouldn't even let me store the gems in a chest (they're heavy!) because they were quest items and I couldn't drop or store them. I'm doing a second character now, and I won't be attempting that unusual gem quest ever again.
  10. I remember getting attacked from behind by a werewolf in Bloodmoon and practically wet my pants. :teehee: I've never been attacked by a werewolf in Skyrim, though.

I did the Companions quests just a week ago or so, and I was thinking the same thing. Why would I want to kill werewolf hunters? I'd love to have the option to join them. LOL. But yes, the Silver Hand people are a crazy, sadistic lot.

  11. I've never had any glitches like those the OP posted. I'm on a high-end gaming PC and have the patches that have been released thus far.

I HAVE had a major bug that has completely prevented me from doing the Blood on the Ice quest in Windelm (the one that will get you the Windhelm house). I've played more than 200 hours and STILL have never been able to do that quest. Sigh. It just won't trigger for me no matter what.

Also, there is a quest the Jarl's steward gives you in Riften that is so buggy it's impossible to complete. Luckily, it's just an unimportant side-quest.

  12. Two perk points per level rather than just one. Really, you just don't get enough perks in this game unless you cheat via console.

Also, fighting from horseback. I know that would be a lot of work for the programmers, but boy it would be cool!

  13. I just finished that quest. There was a spot where your character is frozen, but then it's supposed to unfreeze again so you can move again. If it never unfreezes, then that's definitely a problem. I'm sorry I can't help you fix it. Did you wait a full couple of minutes for it to unfreeze again?
