[NMM 70.8 freezing up]

I have a serious problem that just started yesterday. I am using NMM 70.8 (the newest version), on Windows 10 (newest updates) and trying to add mods to a fresh install of Skyrim SE.

 

Now, it used to work just fine but NOW, when I try to install a mod, 70.8 will randomly freeze up. When it freezes, NOTHING works. Ctrl-Alt-Del doesn't work. I have to do a soft reboot. Sometimes I have to turn it off and then back on.

 

Any ides will be greatly appreciated.

I've often wondered why the main character, the Dovahkiin, has no voice. Everybody else has a voice, why not THE most important character? Is there a mod that I can't find that lets you HEAR what you're saying instead of just reading your dialog? How hard could it be?
