  1. I have a Ubisoft PC CD version of GOTY, playing on Windows 10, and have played the game a number of times, but it's been a few years. I'm coming back primarily for the most recent version of Tamriel Rebuilt, and I'm curious about the initial install order. I've read a number of threads, watched YouTube videos etc, various forums, and I've come across two differing opinions on it. I've seen - (most frequently) 1 - Morrowind / Tribunal / the 1.4 patch / Bloodmoon / the 1.6 patch / Morrowind Code Patch v2.4 / everything else or (less frequently) 2 - Morrowind / Tribunal / Bloodmoon / the 1.6 patch (without using the earlier 1.4 patch) / Morrowind Code Patch v2.4 / everything else So, should I, or should I not, install that v1.4 patch after TB or not, if I'm going to be installing the 1.6 patch and even MCP (which requires v1.6) after BM anyway? My initial thought is that it doesn't matter, but then it doesn't hurt to ask. I guess it comes down to whether those patches update the game in its entirety, or just the individual expansions. If the former, then v1.4 shouldn't be necessary, true? Thanks for any insights offered.
  2. I don't have ESOTU yet but planning on getting it sometime soon, I'm curious about any pros and cons whether to buy it from Steam or the ESO account site. I'm not necessarily interested in getting it through Steam, but it'll prolly be a better deal, since they have periodic sales on the game and/or crowns. Any thoughts on any non-$$ pros or cons for getting it through Steam? Thanks very much. Frank
  3. Anybody know where Ysgramor's Horns ability comes from? I have two effects right now, Reflect Damage and Spell Absorption, both for 20 points and attributed to Ysgramor's Horns. I'm stripped down, carrying nothing. I know it's coming from a mod, but I have no idea which. I'm suspecting that it's causing issues with me completing the master block training quest, because she keeps saying that I dropped my shield right after we start the test. Frank
  4. Well, I confirmed that as soon as I pulled my fame back up to the same as my infamy, I was able to redo the pilgrimage again. Most of it was from the arena line, and the rest was some daedric and misc quests that I hadn't yet done. I was just wondering if there were any other 3rd party quest mods that gave me additional options. What happened was that I was just working on the thieves guild and DB lines early on, and didn't realize how much higher the infamy was until I couldn't redo the pilgrimage. Anyway, I'm good now. Frank
  5. Well, the message that I'm getting from any of the Wayshrines when I try to do it, is "Repent your crimes, wicked one!". That seems to be triggered when Infamy is higher than Fame, or if you have an outstanding Bounty. The Pilgrimage can be repeated as many times as you need, to clear your infamy when it's above 0, but I believe that it won't work when infamy's higher than fame. When I looked up the message, I found many responses that it's caused by either/or of the higher infamy, or bounty. I also saw many responses online, about using the Pilgrimage to clear the infamy. But I saw no responses that advised if it would/wouldn't work when infamy is above fame. So I wanted to make the fame higher from within the game without resorting to using the console. So do you know of any quest mods that give fame points? Frank
  6. Are there any notable quest mods that give fame points as part of their rewards? I got caught with infamy about 50 points higher than my fame, and now I can't clear my infamy by doing the pilgrimage quest again from KOTN. I'm pretty heavily modded right now, but I want to get my infamy lower than my fame, and also to clear any bounties, and then try the pilgrimage again before suspecting that there's any modding conflicts here. Fortunately I hadn't started the Arena line yet, so that was 30 some, but I don't want to just reset it with the console, and spamming all the Oblivion gates still open is not an appealing thought either at the moment. I'm just curious if there are any opportunities for fame points outside of the vanilla game and the official DLC's. Thanks very much. Frank
  7. When I read your comment I didn't know you were saying the comments on that other page...I'm not certain that that point was made thoroughly...at any rate, thanks to all anyway
  8. Tamira, Thanks...the Elsweyr you pointed to was an addon, but I'm looking for the original quest mod. On the other hand, Fort Ferrion was in fact, in the compilation, I appreciate. Frank
  9. Here are a few mods that I can't find and I know they exist(ed), I hope the list isn't too long: - Elsweyr and the Deserts of the Anequina - was available on the Nexus but now it's hidden. Is it available anywhere else? - Fort Ferrion - was on nexus - http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/6397/ but it's gone now - some type of mugger mod - they were always khajiit, came up to you in the cities at night and started by demanding money - Maps! - added scrolls to found treasure, and the scrolls would add undiscovered locations to your map - White horse with black hair - it was on planet elder scrolls, according to oblivionmodwiki.com - a marketplace mod - added outdoor vendors to at least IC, maybe others too. In IC there was a vendor that sold bread, one sold gems, one was a blind moth priest, and one sold welkynd & varla stones - modern bravil home - the inside was complete modern, I'd say about early 1970's mod-style Finally, is there anyplace that the planet elder scrolls were moved to, or they just gone? I found webpages on archive.org, both ign and gamespy versions, but the files themselves don't seem to be there. Thanks very much for any help you may have to offer. Frank
  10. Glad I'm not the only one. I haven't found a way out yet either, wondering if it's a mod conflict Frank
