  1. Oh my god it finaly works, i'm not sure what did it exactly but thank you! I did the recalculate bounds, and I remade the mesh and did a few things differently, i didn't add the Prn thing, I chose Metal for the Default Material instead of Metal Solid, and I chose Static for the Object Type instead of Prop and it works perfectly now =D You honestly have no idea how long i've been messing around with these snap points and it was all a problem with the mesh I generated I feel so stupid but am so happy, again thank you so much for the help =D
  2. Alright i'll try that, and i just followed the tutorial for the most part, although it was a tutorial for a weapon but it was the only one I can find, so that Prn thing isn't necessary then i take it? I'll try removing that then.
  3. What exactly do you mean by that? Incase its of any help here is how I made the model i'm trying to use.
  4. I am using a mesh collision i believe, its a convex hull generated with the havok content tools in 3ds max 2013, im tried putting a lot of different snap points all over with no different results, even tried copying directly from another working mesh but still no luck, just got back from work and relaxing now but i'm gonna play around with the AVIF's later and try copying those from a working mobject with the matching snap points from that objects mesh and see if they then snap together, if that doesn't work then i'm at a loss here.
  5. I'll try changing the origin point size but i htink i may have already tryed that before i messed around a lot with all the different values and names of the connect points. I didn't realize that was even a thing, i had to google what AVIF was lol and luckily found another thread with some one sort of referencing using it in there mod, i'll mess with that in a little bit to see if it helps at all, thanks =) *Edit I just tried adding them and it didn't make a difference they still won't snap to each other, now that I know those are a thing i'll try messing around with them tommorow to see if i can produce any results but with AVIF 337 set to 32 and AVIF 33e set to 64 they still don't want to snap to each other at all.
  6. I made a few custom models for a mod i'm making and they seem to work perfectly, the collision and everything seems to be spot on, but I want to make them snap together when built and I cannot for the life of me get them to snap with each other, they'll snap with other objects no problem but not to each other for whatever reason. Any help with this would be seriously appreciated this is the only thing stopping me from being able to finish this mod. Here's a screenshot of my model in NifSkope with the tree expanded and the current connect points i'm using (i've tried countless other vanilla and custom ones with no better luck)
  7. Yea but i wanted to make the gold and other metal bars more realistic shaped, more rectangular/flat shaped on the top instead of pointed, I actually managed to find some good general blender tutorials so ive decided to just basically start from scratch with blender, that link for the collision will definitely be helpful though so thanks for that =)
  8. I've been wanting to make a mod that basically adds a stack of gold and other metal bars that can be build in the building menu as a sort of display of wealth but i haven't really been able to find any good tutorials on making a static mesh work in fallout 4, I have a few premade ones already but would likely spend time learning in blender and making my own but the biggest thing is exporting it to a workign .nif with textures, and the collision mesh and everything. Anyone know of any good tutorials I could use to learn this?
  9. I could really use some help with this, I can get the node to work somewhat, it will snap the object into the correct rotation but won't actually snap it inplace like a wall snaps to a floor for example. I've tried pretty much everything I can think of with but just can't get it to snap correctly.
  10. I've been trying for about 2-3 hours to get snap points working for some ceiling lights and a roof but I can't for the life of me get them to work, they look to be perfect and match working snap points from other vanilla and modded .nifs but they just won't snap. I have the Parent as WorkshopConnectPoints and made a NiNode for that, I currently have them named as P-WS-Autoplace but have tried many other names with no luck, i've tried changing the rotations, the positioning and the scale of the snap points and pretty much everything else i could all with no luck, I honestly have no clue why they won't work so any help would be really appreciated. Here's a few screenshots of the snap points on both the ceiling and lights I'm using.
