lol its my first real Sandbox RPG I guess you call it or free roaming. I have played all of the Final Fantasies and several other rpgs yea I am a bit late sadly but I hope to get into them more now that I have played fallout. I actually started with Oblivion but like I said I didn't own it so i couldn't get to far into it.

ok ^^ thank you a lot sorry if I seem like I am being lazy but besides oblivion (which I only borrowed) this is the first game I played like this so its kind of hard to figure out first time around

Thanks for that heap of info I was probably putting to much into charisma and spreading my points into to many skills. I thought Charisma was important for quests and disposition but I guess I was wrong. Any other tips would be appreciated. I really would like to get a rundown of what I should be doing so I can actually enjoy the game haha. Again thank you and if anyone else has info please share.

Ok I have restarted the game countless times and have never made it past megaton due to the fact that I keep getting pwned by enemies have no idea what items I should save/sell and so on. Someone gave some advice on starting stats and what to focus a good majority of skill points into but I still keep getting mobbed. I don't get it if anyone can help me though I would appreciate it. Like should I level off wild prey or do the monsters (like in oblivion) lvl with you so lvling doesn't really matter in battle? Any starting quests I should be looking into for items or xp? Also whats the deal with radiation? It seems like all the food and drinks are irradiated and will cause stat drops when I get to much of it how do I counter this? A little of topic but I noticed while speaking with the citizens of megaton that the speech options are quite disappointing. Let me make an example, in oblivion you could hear rumors of worldly events and then talk to the citizens about that topic but I do not see anything like that in Fallout 3. I mean hell even when you trigger a event with an npc the only people who even talk about it are the starting npc's and the target npc. Am I missing something or is this basically how it is laid out? Ah so look forward to frequent crashes eh? Also if anyone has any info on which line I need to edit and what to put there that would be appreciated since I have no experienced editing code lol

Also to save forum space and not be a spammer ...Last night I was doing a quest for that girl in the saloon(actually shes right next to our mixed gentleman) and about an hour or so into the quest the game just shut down. Is this a mod causing the crash or like oblivion does fallout have a tendency to crash at random points lol? thanks for your time and responses.

Wow thank you that was a great deal of help at least i know where i should be starting off now...lol I was going to blow up Megaton but now I have reconsidered lol. Thanks again and if anyone has any other tips I would greatly appreciate it. I am not looking for a godly combination just something so my character can survive and I can learn. ^^

Hello everyone, Well I am having a problem that most noobs have (or so I am guessing) when I start this game. See I don't know which stats I should be raising and which not to put so much attention to, How to gain XP and Money and really just how to advance properly in this game. It seems everytime I try to get something done I do not have the stats or I am to weak to fight any baddies. Please help me out. :wallbash: This game seems to be incredible but I cannot get my barrings. Thanks guys/gals

Do I have to repackage them into a bsa after I add the files or just keep them in the extracted format?

Hello everyone I am having an issue with installing mods. The Version of Fallout 3 that I have uses Bethesda File Archives to batch the meshes and other files together so I cannot add to them how would I go about editing them so I can add the mods?
