  1. Just use the console and type "save *****" where * is your characters name. I use this to distinguish between mine and my brothers save games. It works wonderfully. Just be sure that when you're done playing and might switch off to save normally and overwrite YOUR own character named save. This way you don't have to worry about anything like the quicksaves and autosaves interfering with the save scheme. Trust me, it works perfectly, no mod necessary.
  2. I was thinking about a decent way to explain why all the guards took arrows in the knees. Possibly even for a quest for the Dovahkiin. Say when you randomly get hit by an arrow (in the leg maybe) it would trigger a sequence where you're unable to proceed with any quests until you join the AITKA, (I used to be an adventurer...) At that point you have to go to a meeting with a bunch of NPC's who also took an arrow in the knee. (Hi, I'm the Dovahkiin and I took an arrow in the knee..."HI DOVAHKIIN") They all talk about what it's like and how they're dealing with it, then at the end of the meeting a representative of the Jarls comes in and lets you know that all will be ok because they have a government run program that hires ex-adventurers who have fallen to the arrow in the knee fate and strictly hires them for various guard duties around Skyrim. I thought it would be humorous and fitting, all things considered!
  3. Glad I searched first! I was just going to request a mod for the Khajiit races to be werecats as well. This would be a great addition, as I don't see being a "dragon/cat/dog/human/vampire" as being very...possible.I realized that I was all of these things, short of the vampire, I'm still not sure if that's possible to be both Vamp/Were or not, and it just didn't make sense to be a Cat and a Dog...odd.
  4. @Mokeyboi ...precisely. I can only imagine the sheer awesomeness of walking up on Paranor guided by Druids through the main gates, exploring the dungeon, the library of the Druid histories... the furnace room. All of the areas where massive story changing events took place. Finding all of the little places talked about, interacting with the powers of demons, and the wisdom of the dead druids. The Four Lands hold dozens of artifacts, much like the unique items in the TES series as well. Literally everything is right there and waiting to be made into an RPG on the scale of and in the hands of Bethsoft. @AltreU ...I would definitely recommend the series. There are very many different places where one could start but I would suggest, if you've never had any experience with the Shannara series, to start off with either the Sword of Shannara or the Elfstones of Shannara. Having read a few books previously as a child I decided to just get them all and start at the "beginning", chronologically that is. It was a ride, that's for sure. While it's not canon I do recommend checking out the old DOS game "Shannara". It was a good romp, having read only the "sword" and "elfstones" at the time. It does fit in well if they are the only ones you've read. Or even if you haven't. Various artifacts of the Shannara world: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Shannara_artifacts There are also magics bred into certain bloodlines that would work like TES's birthsighns, as well as many different factions one could be a part of just like in the TES series. Druids, Trolls, Pirates, Gypsies, Armies, Demons, etc etc etc. Here's to dreaming. :D Cheers!
  5. Isn't that the same thing? When I put the difficulty slider up in either Morrowind or Oblivion I level up faster because I'm working harder to stay alive and taking more damage. Flip the idea and it's the same way.
  6. I think the best way, and easiest for them to implement while keeping with their own design, would be make you over as an NPC. decked out in whatever it is you so choose. The name of your choice, or your name, Aggressive or passive, able to have a conversation of your choice, gives the player an item, something along those lines. OR even better, a companion. You'll be immortalized, helping us all through our game! I think this would be the most incredible thing they could do for you. You're being such a good person by asking US what we want for your wish. Well...to return that favor and outside of just wishing you the best of luck, and to have you ALWAYS in good health, I would fight by your side in Skyrim my friend. -------- On a separate note, I think it's a little jacked that all of these people are asking for changes to the game when it's so close to being done, and EVEN IF they had time to implement some of these ideas, they already have the game setting/story/abilities/modes/etc etc etc finalized for the most part I'd imagine. Let them make the game they want to make, it WONT be a bad thing. They've been doing this longer than any of you I'm sure. If there are little things that people have suggested that might be better of as a publicly made MOD, then do that instead. My point is, don't trivialize your visit to the studio with lists and lists of requests that they've already decided on/against. Jeez people. Let this guy have his day. You'll have yours.
  7. I noticed someone else had made a LOTR topic, and I just wanted to put my two cents in on my personal favorite fantasy series. I wrote Bethsoft and Email a few years ago about the Shannara series. Especially after having played Oblivion followed by Fallout 3. The two very clearly define the back story of the Shannara series together. I could see the game being quite doable, especially in scope and size of the main landmass area. To me, while reading the books, (all of them), I imagined the area of the mainland being maybe the size of Washington state. I've spent a lot of time between Idaho and Washington and Oregon, and I believe the landscape is absolutely perfect. Anywho... There are a lot of details that are in the books to better describe exactly how much this would actually work, and given Terry Brooks approval could actually make one awesome story. For anyone who even knows what I'm talking about or at least the history of the Shannara series, think about it...Paranor, Grimpond, all of the enemy types, the skull mountains, etc etc etc. Perhaps starting out last days of the great war, fallout style, lasers, robots, etc, someone pushes the button... boom, centuries later, aftermath, survival, sword and sorcery, warlocks, demons. etc. Please discuss.
  8. Pre-Ordering around here (western United States) has been available for a few months as well. The GameStop a block away let me put my money down for it. But a few things to remember... You shouldn't need to keep your receipt, they have my info and money put down in the system. If you decide you want that money back, they'll let you use it on something else rather than giving you cash back. (wack) When they come out with a collectors edition, I can use that money I've put down already on the collectors edition. (a simple update in the system) I basically wanted a way for GameStop to know that I had interest in the game, they will call me right before it's out, not that I won't have the day off WAYYY in advance. So I can put 5 dollars down and if anything happens, I'm out 5 bucks. Either way, I'm still guaranteed a copy of it when it's released.
